First time visit, on a sunny Saturday at 11:00, right after they opened.Pros:-Terrific outdoor seating area. Huge patio with a couple of levels, lots of picnic-table style seating along with bar-style counter seating. We did have to move tables due to some screaming kids that sat at the table next to us (even though the place was 90% empty at the time).-Good service. Seat yourself, order at the bar and they bring the food to your table. Bartender/order-taker was very friendly.-Excellent food (but see below)- my crispy chicken sandwich was maybe the best I've ever had anywhere. Chicken breast cooked perfectly with a light crunchy coating, bacon was crispy, aioli was delicious, just a perfect sandwich. Cons: -Wife's Thai noodle salad was just OK. It was overdressed, and would have been better served on some greens. As it was, it would work more as a side dish than a main. Verdict: - We'll be back for sure, the outdoor dining area is very nice but be aware there are lots of small kids, many with inadequate parental supervision. And the place fills up fast-- empty when we arrived at 11:00, but almost full up with a line to the bar when we left around noon. (Dogs are welcome too.)

Made a quick stop while traveling back to Reno from the bay area. Lots of tap options, I appreciated the one cider option. Shared an order of seasoned fries and they were well-made with good dips. We sat outside - the space is huge! And it's a very dog-friendly outdoor patio, lots of dogs!

This is a wonderful restaurant located in Auburn, CA by many little shops and other restaurants too which makes it a prime location. The food is delicious and the service is great; nice friendly and personable servers. For the vegetarians, I recommend the tofu sandwich; so delicious and they also offer a variety of both non alcoholic drinks like ice tea and lemonade and alcoholic beverages too like their tap beers. The ambience is casual and the restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor seating and televisions too so you can watch sporting events while you eat. Love this place. Recommend.

Family-friendly place that clearly has a loyal local following. This taproom has a very good beer selection, and the staff was friendly. The menu has some interesting choices, but we found our choices to be just fair. I think that we would have been more satisfied with one of the burgers. Worth another try.

This is not the kind of place you find if you're rushing through Auburn on I-80. You either stumble in to it accidentally or someone tells you about it. We walked by it a month ago while shopping in Old Town and thought it looked cool, with a huge outdoor patio.Today we were back in Auburn and needed a place for lunch. There's a good menu with a lot of varied selections. In particular there were a couple of good vegetarian options.I had the Ultimate Burger, which is a half pound burger with traditional fixings on a brioche bun. The side of tots was enough to fee Napoleon Dynamite for a week. My partner had the Grilled Tofu sandwich, which is essentially served burger style, but with slabs of grilled tofu rather than a "veggie burger". Her side said was huge with a lot of nice things tossed in besides greens. Everything tasted great. The beer selection is awesome with 40 on tap. The selection was widely varied, not overly focused on IPAs and sours.Clint was our server today. He was super helpful but not pushy. We like that.

I love this place, I frequent it weekly. Beer, good food and outdoor drinking - perfection. What I don't love is their customer service, their employees are not very friendly. They always seem very snooty unless you're one of their friends, then they are happy and chatty.

Great place, fun for our group to enjoy on a warm day, outside on the shaded patio. Standard brew-pub selections, narrow menu. The food we had was very good - we were a group of 8. Friendly service, food came out quickly. Caesar salad - fresh and large portions burgers & fries - good- we'll cooked and seasoned chicken fingers- good for kidscheese sandwiches (not recommended) each add-on is a couple bucks, and a grilled cheese sandwich with guacamole sounds yucky). I'll try pasta / or something else next time.

The Station Public House, located at the east end of downtown Auburn, CA, offers delicious pub fare, a full-service beer and wine bar, and a GIGANTIC landscaped patio, that offers over 8000 square feet of covered and outdoor dining. This fine pub/restaurant is a one-of-a-kind destination for Placer County "foodies" ...As you enter the restaurant from Lincoln Way, you'll notice the indoor dining room is long and narrow, and is actually quite compact, as most of the dining is enjoyed outside, on the most spacious restaurant patio that I've ever seen in the greater Sacramento area.At the rear, to the right, is the bar and the cashier station, where you can pick up a menu and place your order, or simply pick a table and wait for a friendly staff member to arrive. The bar, and dining room offer many television monitors tuned to sports, which gives the restaurant a "sports bar" feel, so to say. The bar is both inside the dining room and outdoor on the patio... you can enjoy bar service either indoors or outdoor. Next to the bar there is an old school blackboard that lists daily specials. The beer menu is extensive, and is posted on video monitors, both inside and outside. The selections regularly change, and the video monitor makes updating easy. Bottles and cans of commercial beer are available if craft beer isn't to your liking. Note that the restaurant does not serve hard liquor, as it's beer and wine only. If you were in Texas, this would be referred to as "damp..."From the "All Aboard" section of the menu, I went with the "All-American Burger," and upgraded to an order of seasoned "Station Fries." The burger comes with a 1/3 pound chuck patty, but I took the plunge and added the $3.00 upgrade of a second meat patty, complete with a second slice of American cheese. The burger and fries was served with a small cup of ketchup for dipping. The menu describes this amazing cheeseburger as, "1/3 pound ground Angus chuck patty, American cheese, house sauce, pickles, red onion, tomato, spring mix, on a brioche bun." I describe the burger as one of the best burgers in Placer County! The burger starts with a seasoned, one-third ground Angus chuck patty, cooked medium, or any way you request it to be cooked. Medium always works with me! I was hungry, so I splurged, and added an extra beef patty, along with an extra slab of cheese for a nominal $3.00, which was well worth the investment. The beef was simply amazing, as it was tender, juicy, seasoned to perfection, and was as good as beef can get in a quality cheeseburger. Thanks to the extra beef patty, my burger included TWO slices of melted, American cheese, which added a total WOW! factor and taste to this wonderful cheeseburger! The beef was enclosed in a buttered and lightly toasted brioche bun, which was slightly sweet, held together well, and made for a great foundation of this fabulous burger. "House Sauce" was applied on both buns, and it could have passed for simply mayonnaise.Let's not forget the crisp, fresh veggies that are an essential part of a well-balanced burger... sliced dill pickles, sliced red onion, sliced tomato, along with fancy green and red lettuce which the menu labels as a "spring mix." The burger came garnished simply with "House Sauce," but mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard were available in squeeze bottles to enhance the burger. With simply the "House Sauce," the burger was amazingly delicious, moist and flavorful, and didn't need any added condiments, which would have masked the delicious goodness of this amazing cheeseburger. As a side dish, you get a house or macaroni salad, and you get the choice to upgrade to "Station Fries" for an extra $1.50, which works for me, as for me, a burger isn't the same without fries. The side of "Station Fries" were cut on the large size - which I simply adore - seasoned, and deep fried to a light, crispy golden brown on the outside, yet moist, tender and juicy on the inside. My only complaint - very minor - is they were on the salty side, but maybe that's just "me," was I've had to live with high blood pressure your the last 40 years, and I have to watch my intake of salt. Other than a tad on the salty side, the fries were delicious. The Station Public House simply "nailed" the "All-American Burger," as it was perfect in every way... perfect bun, delicious meat, with crisp, fresh veggies. The meat-to-bun-ratio of the burger - which is crucial to a superior burger - was perfect. Also, the meat, bun and cheese were warm, but the pickle slices, onion, tomato and lettuce were still chilled, and the warm vs. chilled factor helps to make for a superior cheeseburger.Such an amazing burger, served by friendly staff, in a very unique atmosphere to Auburn, and Placer County! Anyway I look at it... The Station Public House rates 5 stars in every way. Bon apettite!

Service was great and helped me with my selection since this was my first time there. We had the banh mi sandwich, I loved it. My husband had the tater tots, he wasn't too impressed. We sat outside, had a group with us and worked out well. They kept it warm with heaters.
