The State Grind

This is a cute, quiet spot and I come here often when I am working at my office nearby. The staff are always so warm and welcoming. I have brought my service dog with me too and they even gave her a free pup cup. The coffee is good and I have tried their matcha green tea also. They also have yummy pastries and baked goods (which I am guessing are from Costco).I am happy to have this spot to go to for a morning coffee or early afternoon pick me up.

I tried the vanilla bean frappe here and it was pretty good, it wasn't too expensive for the size/quality which is nice since drinks are usually $7 these days. The service was fast and friendly and there were a lot of places to sit inside. It was also clean and nice ambiance inside. I would come back for another frappe but I'm not sure how good anything else is here so my 4 stars is for the frappe, service, and ambiance only.

Coffee is good but the food choices are boring and minimal at best. Atmosphere is clean and pleasant.

Awful cold brew. Undrinkable. Do not recommend under any circumstances including if you're about to sit through a pointless state meeting that could have easily been an email.

I grabbed a few pastries for my coworkers on my way to work and they liked it. I didn't like my latte though.

So when you don't have time to stop at Starbucks on your way to work you decide to try to local coffee shop. Let me tell you I was throughly impressed. I got a sugar free caramel light ice latte with almond milk. This was so good and hit all the spots. I will definitely visit again.

First time here and was impressed by the friendly service and reasonable prices. I'll come back.

The coffee is so good!! I don't work in the building they are in anymore but they are only one light rail stop away (Archives Plaza) so I will go out of my way to come back here. Seriously delicious coffee they serve Vaneli's coffee which is fresh roasted right before delivery. I have drank so many endless cups of coffee over the years and I can honestly say this is the best coffee I have ever had in the United States. The only place better was in Paris lol Seriously though support this small family owned business because I NEED their coffee!!

Great espresso and unbelievably low price. Only had one staff that wasn't friendly but 1 out of the bunch doesn't break the bank.

As a black coffee drinker, I have consistently been disappointed with the burnt coffee served at the State Grind. Further, although nice, the staff consists of super young people who don't even ask "would you like your bagel toasted? Would you like cream cheese with that?" It's unfortunate because the location is so convenient to my office and now I have to walk two blocks to get coffee elsewhere.
