I first visited The Snug in Feb '23. I fell in LOVE. Oh, I live in PA! (insert crying emoji) I followed along on ig, patiently waiting until I could get back. Last week I finally did. It did not disappoint! The ambiance is just cool and warm. The drinks are top notch. Delicious. The servers? FABULOUS! Deene, forgive me if I'm misspelling, was my favorite. She helped out my friend when a patron was getting a little too comfy with her. She insisted on walking us to our car. We loved her so much we visited her a couple of nights later at another fine establishment at where she bartends. So, go for everything because they've got it! I'm counting the days til I get back.

The Snug is hands down a top bar...EVERY.SINGLE.TIME I have been there it has been solidly fantastic. The craft cocktails are phenomenal. Service is attentive. Bartenders make great suggestions! Definitely put it as a "must go" during the holidays as they decorate to perfection. Tip ~ make sure you have your ID as they card EVERYONE at the door regardless of how far past 21 years old you are. Highlighting as we have been turned away when someone in my group didn't have their ID (age 55). No exceptions. Ambiance is cozy and top level! A treasure for Sacramento. Absolutely love it!

I came here on a Thursday for their Miracle pop up. We purposely came here a lil early to try to beat the line. We got there around 9pm and there was only a couple in front of us. We waited about 15 mins until the bouncer let us in. We definitely came at the right time bc there was already a long line that formed behind us. It was packed inside but the holiday decor was so nice and pretty. As soon as I got to the bar, the bartender was really nice and gave us a menu. Ordered our drinks and we found seating outside. A server came over and immediately gave us water and told us we can order more drinks from her if we'd like. Friendly customer service. My friend went on a weekend and stood in line for an hour and a half so I'm glad I got to go in and see the holiday decor and grab some drinks.

This review is strictly based off of their Miracle on R St pop-up!My friend and I checked out the at The Snug last night after having dinner - we were in the mood for some Christmas vibes and a night cap before heading home. The Snug is located on R Street next to Uncle Vito's Pizza and behind Iron Horse Tavern - it's tucked away in the corner and could be easily missed. When we arrived a little after 7pm, it was pretty busy! We hovered for a bit before a couple of big chairs opened up in the back where we were able to sit down and enjoy the festive atmosphere. We ordered our drinks at the bar and a bartender brought our drinks over to us which was a nice touch - there was even another employee walking around asking if water was needed or if we wanted to order more drinks. I liked that we didn't have to get up and order at the bar.We ordered the Christmaspolitan and Jingle Balls Nog and they were both served in cute Christmas glasses and both tasted great! All of their drinks were definitely over the top in terms of the ingredients - I think we counted at least 4 different alcohols in just one of the drinks alone, but at least you get your monies worth! They even had fake snow coming out of the ceiling during The Christmas Queen's song - IKYKY. That was a nice added touch even though it made a huge soapy mess on the floor that staff had to eventually clean up - it made me wonder if they have to do that multiple times a night.Overall, it was a fun and festive end to our evening! If you need some Christmas cheer in your life, check out Miracle on R St - you won't be disappointed!

The snug was our first stop for this midtown Yuletide crawl. Thanks to YEs one and only Alex T, the walking talking Christmas tree, for putting this all together. (please see picture of Santa holding an enormous candy cane next to Christmas tree Alex.) With our large group we commandeered almost the entire patio and pushed several tables together. On the patio there are several heat lamps which our server turned on high. It was a chilly night for this crawl and the blasting heat paired with an adult beverage or two was comforting. A perfect start indeed.

The Snug has been on my Yelp bookmark list for quite some time. However, it seemed like something would always come between my plans of making it there. Therefore, I could barely contain my excitement when I had the opportunity to join a few friends for a pre-Christmas outing. Unaware that The Snug was hosting the Miracle Pop-Up Bar, I walked in (no line at the time) at 3:45ish. The area that my friends occupied was a snug (pun intended) corner to your immediate right when you enter the establishment. When a friendly server (unfortunately I did not obtain her name) checked in on us, I ordered my first drink...The Krampus. As we sipped on our beverages and conversed, I could hear the crowd getting increasingly louder. At one point I took a peek outside and observed that a massive line had formed, that's when I realized that this was something special! Prior to ordering my next drink, Mariah Carey's classic "All I Want for Christmas" started playing. The restaurant along with my friends at the table began to enthusiastically sing along as faux snow started falling from the ceiling (reference my video if you don't believe me)! When the server arrived, I ordered the Hot Buttered Rum drink that came with what I believe to be a stroopwafel for dipping purposes. I found both drinks to be delicious, but if I had to choose one, I would say that the Hot Buttered Rum drink took the cake! I have to admit, prior to this event I was struggling to get into the holiday mood. However, the cozy environment, paired with tasteful Christmas decorations and music really ignited the Christmas spirit within me. I'm not sure how The Snug experience is during non-holiday times, but I can say that The Snug X The Miracle Pop-Up cocktail bar set a pretty high standard! I highly recommend that you visit The Snug!

I had been wanting to go to the Snug for awhile and had tried to go during COVID but we couldn't figure out how to get inside. We went towards midtown for dinner on a random Monday and decided to go over to the Snug for a drink afterwards. The parking in the area isn't great...there was a show at Ace of Spades so it was already kind of busy and if you want to park in the lot right outside the Snug you have to pay. There's a lot of street parking, which we ended up just going with that, but it's pretty dark on the side streets at night. When we walked in we were greeted and told we could sit down anywhere. There's a lot of different types of seating - bar, booths, chairs, lounge area but we opted for a booth. They have a lot of different types of cocktails and we opted to order cocktails over wine and beer (although they had a ton of beer options). I went out on a whim and ordered a cocktail with rye, sweet vermouth, black tea, dried banana, and vanilla. The banana really intrigued me so I figured I would try it out...the waiter did warn me it was spirit forward but it was way too spirit forward for me. Luckily my husband finished it off while I ordered a glass of wine instead.I heard that in the month of December they turn it into a Christmas bar! I'm not sure if we'll make it...but if we can it looks amazing!

Lovedddd this bar! We stopped by around 11pm for a drink and the bar was lively and full when we arrived. Service was a little slow but it was busy. It was nice to have servers come up to your table to take your order vs waiting at the bar for a drink. We were expecting a traditional bar setting but it was more service oriented. The music was good and the people were friendly. The dark lighting created an ambiance that felt intimate and romantic, definitely a fun bar with good drinks. 08/10.
