Lots of tables lots of action. The poker room is a great place if you're looking for a game. The 1/3 no limit is a blast. Be sure to look out for the tournaments as well! -Anthonyxibarrax

Good sized room dedicated to strictly poker.Whether you are interested in cash games or willing to test your luck in one of the many tournaments constantly being held here... Thunder Valley's poker room is THE spot for you. There is a full sized bar located in one corner of the room and has plug outlets available along the bar stool seating. This area is fully stocked with bottles of everything and anything so if you're looking for a fun time, it will not disappoint.Convenience is their motto. Waitresses are constantly making their rounds to take drink orders and you have the option of taking a load off by requesting for a back massage. 4 stars because this room is comfortable and cozy, even for a non gambler like myself.

Nice looking poker room with plenty of tables. However the rake is very steep and they typically have one waitress working the entire room so don't plan on ever receiving service within 30 minutes.

Just started playing here regularly within the past 9 months. I used to play at the Derby ALOT before they closed down. Been playing poker before it was Hold'em was even offered so I have been to many poker rooms and this one has a lot of room for improvement. The pros is that it always has a game going and they have low set games regularly such as 3-6 or 4-8. Everywhere is no limit these days. While I prefer no limit, my pocket book can no longer sustain it like it used to. There are some decent promos on certain days and they run a lot of tournaments. The cons is the service. There is only one floor person Vincent that does a great job. He is always running and hustling his entire shift. You rarely see him sit still. The others try to move as little as possible even pointing to where you need to go rather than show you. They have a promo right now where you get drawing tickets for certain hands but the floors have to print them. I have waited in excess of an hour before. Change never comes. Front desk pays less attention to customers than I have ever seen at any place of business. I've stood there many times watching some socializing and other misc. BS that didn't need to be addressed right then before helping me. Heck, I've been erased off the list for God knows why more times than I can count and I had been standing right there with no call out or text. The dealers are about 30/70 on service, accuracy, game control, and personality. The slowest dealer in the world works here. I have had slow but this was like watching paint dry. Awful. They let too many people walk away from their seats for too long and they are really bad here. They say if there is no list then they can't do much in which I disagree. If you miss two or more rounds then you should be picked up. It disrupts the game and not good sportsmanship for those of us that stay. With that said, they need props. Often many games are just hanging by a thread and I know they get irritated by closing games down and re-opening so this would help a ton. Seems very disorganized at times. Really should be a two star but giving them a 3 based on some minor improvement since when I first came.

I wish the rake was smaller or at least based upon a percentage of pot- like in Reno and Las Vegas - with a maximum rake

The new poker room is phenomenal. I played an all night cash game session and had several dealers throughout the night. By far, the most professional and entertaining dealer was Christopher. Man, that guy snaps the cards like a pro and had complete control of every had, every pot, and every all-in situation. His attitude was great, his math was always right, and he made the 2am-5am cash game feel like it was a normal afternoon. It sounds like this guy has 15 years experience dealing cards and unlike the other dealers, he made ZERO mistakes. This guy deserves a promotion and should really be coaching all of the other dealers. Give this guy a management position so he can help the other dealers level up. Great job to Christopher.

An abomination of a poker room. First I want to say fire Kyle! Dealers are SCAMMERS! Kyle in specific scammed me out of my big blind and refused to admit his mistake. Then proceeded to lie to me about the literal hand I just played that he dealt. I mention his mistake and he gets upset and asks for my ID at the table. Obviously trying to start a problem. I give it to him. Now I have someone with anger towards me reading sensitive information on my ID for no reason. I know to take my play somewhere else now.

Horrible customer service and poker room. A couple examples, toxic cigarette smoke dense throughout. If you order something you have to go to the front desk and then use a phone and then it usually takes at least an hour before your bad tasting cold food arrives at your table. Other example is the dealers are often slow and inexperienced and will often screw up hands and if players get screwed by dealer error that's just too bad for you, and way too often will mis-arbitrate who wins the hand. I have been at tables there where the players would way too often have to correct the dealer because the dealer didn't know who won the hand and would give the win to the wrong player if people were not watching closely.

This is the best poker room in the region. The recent remodel made it even better. The dealers are friendly, the floor and wait staff are prompt. The chip runners too. Granted there some small mishaps every once in a while but it's all within range. I like the promotions, Wednesday drawings and when there were tickets for the car a short while back. Though there is a bad beat, I would like to see quads get something. Even if it is a $25 chip, it'll be nice to have a small reward for a nice hand.
