The Pizza Joint

Classic New York style pizza, great ranch, quick service, but not much seating if any. It's better to grab and walk around or find a bench/park. Loved it!

My friend and I wanted something kinda quick because we had gotten so hungry walking around this wonderful town. Nevada City Cal. Pizza by the slice was a great option for us. This place is tiny with no tables but stands, so we took ours to go and found a place by the water wheel, down the block. It's an open common area with tables near the bookstore .We ordered ranch dressing to accompany our pizza. We love dipping the slice into the dressing, so perfect.I ordered a slice with Tomato, kale, red sauce and mozzarella. ( I can't find the name of this pizza on the menu ). My friend ordered the Maui Wowie, We opened the box to generous slices and found it to be one of the best crusts ever. The flavor was amazing, both of us agreed it was probably the best pizza we've ever had.Next visit I want to order a whole pie and eat until I can't eat anymore.For me this is the most satisfying way to consume Carbs. ever...I want to also say that the female employee counter person ( didn't catch her name ) was really great too. Our experience was definitely worth 5 stars. I totally disagree with anyone who posted a One review.

Awesome pizza!! NY STYLE!! Sometimes the line is long and there's really no where to sit BUT it doesn't matter cause this place is that good! Plus the price is right $7 a slice and they are big!

Absolutely the best pizza in town. The New Yorker is our go-to and the service was exactly what you'd hope for in Nevada City! They had us laughing just placing an order. This is a staple every time we get come into town. Keep up the good work Pizza Joint!!

Creative pizzas, if a little opulent. Service was fast, patio is nice. Good beer. Good choice in the area

You're only as strong as your weakest link, and unfortunately, this pizza place has plenty. I placed a phone order early in the day, expecting it to be ready by 6 PM for a friend to pick up. However, when my friend arrived, they were told the pizza had already been picked up. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff initially argued that the mistake was ours. After some back-and-forth, they admitted their error and promised to remake the pizza--only to hand over a cold pizza that had already been made. Alienating the local community is a surefire way for a restaurant to fail. As for me, I won't be returning and will advise my friends to do the same.

Pizza so good, I wish they had one in my town. It wasn't just the pervading air quality

The food... top notch and 5/5 pizza.The service 0/5. I think they're trying to give the impression they are from New York, and New Yorkers are rude. As a native East Coaster I can tell you they are nowhere near the mark of what a true New Yorker is like. They are rude, dismissive, and act like they're doing you a favor. This is probably the last time we'll come here. It's not worth it to spend upwards of $50 for a few slices of pizza for this type of service. Oh, and get this, they don't even let you use the bathroom. The only business I know of that is still running pandemic era restrictions.The prices go up, the service keeps going down. Last time for us.

We are glad that our Airbnb host recommended this pizza place! The pizza was very good and had a crispy bottom. Service was pretty fast and we got our slices in less than 10mins.
