I had such a great experience photographing a wedding here a few years ago. The venue is beautiful and elegant. The staff was very friendly and professional and the wedding event I photographed went smoothly. I would highly recommend this venue if you are the "outdoorsy" type because it will not disappoint. I hope to photograph more events here and work again with the North Star House staff.

Sierra at The North Star House was very sweet. The house was beautiful, and the grounds were fully open to us during our scheduled time. We loved that we were able to bring in our own vendors and supply our own alcohol, because we had a unique theme(renaissance inspired/Game of Thrones), and needed to do a lot of customization to provide the ambiance we were going for. We also needed to have a tent since our wedding was in July, and Sierra worked closely with our vendor that she recommended to schedule set-up and tear-down. Overall, I highly recommend them. Plus they are a non-profit and it's a historical site, so it felt nice contributing to a good cause.

I absolutely had a bumpy road in the early stages of me booking this venue for our wedding venue. But with some staff changes things went from horrible to absolutely perfect! Allyssa and Marko can be a dream team they definitely did all that they could to accommodate me and make my wedding happen! They were so great to work with and the venue itself while still under construction is absolutely breathtaking. Such a hidden gem! We were married here 9.29.19 and even though we even were surprised with rain at the end of the night Marko jumped right in like he was family in helping us with everything we needed! He was such a champ and absolutely amazing!! I would highly recommend this venue for a unique gorgeous venue at the right price! We couldn't be more grateful for Marko and Allyssa and the day just wouldn't have happened without them being so helpful and involved! Thank you again!!

We attended a wedding at the North Star House. It is a beautiful venue, in a quiet area away from distraction. The house was lovely and had a rustic/steampunk vibe. There was plenty of parking. Lots of open and shaded areas for different parts of a wedding or other event. One thing I will say (and why I knock off two stars) is that walkways are mostly dirt, gravel, and un-paved. A lot of wedding guests have heels on (or have clumsy kids) and it was a bit of a struggle to get from ceremony to reception to bathrooms, etc. There are TONS of mole holes throughout the property and the gentleman eating next to me even found his chair leg stuck in one, causing him to nearly fall out of his chair. I would consider it a huge safety hazard. I saw one lady fall on one of the hilled gravel walkways. My chair was constantly needing to be readjusted during dinner to avoid sinking into a mole hole. The wedding was at night, so it made it even harder to see where you're walking.

We had our wedding at the North Star House. It was a beautiful venue! The stone, wood, and ivy created a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony as well as our pictures. The bathrooms were clean and easily accessible for our guests. There are lights in the courtyard that create a warm and pleasant environment in the evening. There was also plenty of parking for our guests. The venue is very peaceful and the history of the property is fascinating and adds to the properties charm. I would highly recommend it.

My wife and I were married two years ago at the North Star House. We planned a whole year for the event. We had a pre-wedding luncheon with an Irish band the day before the wedding on the patio with the lunch buffet served in the dinning room. The house was built by Julia Morgan in 1905 and is under continual restoration and renewal. It is located on 14 acres. Celebrating there for two days was like having everyone over to your "home". The House has a large catering kitchen that gave us plenty of room to arrange the flowers for the wedding and set up the buffet for the luncheon and wedding. Exploring the house which is so inviting was a treat for our guests. The day of the wedding, after being at the house the day before, everyone was very relaxed and acquainted. We had a local "country" quartet playing patio as everyone arrived and set up our ceremony for everyone in the "backyard" below. We had the "Dream and the Dreamers" Band play and we had about 100 guests. The feedback from the guests of all ages was "best wedding I have ever been to"! That's all we wanted to hear!
