If you arrive around noon, be prepared for a bit of a wait, but I think it's definitely worth it. When you get there, you'll find a clipboard where you can write down your name and the number of people in your party. While you're waiting, I recommend browsing through the menu so you can make your decision as soon as you're seated. Once your table is ready, they'll call your name.We were a group of four and decided to order a variety of dishes to share. I kicked things off with a delightful mimosa called "Lavender Sparkles," which was not only delicious but also visually stunning, thanks to the edible glitter they add! As for the food, I'm a big fan of Eggs Benedict for brunch, so I chose the BLUE LUMP CRAB & BAY SHRIMP CAKE. My husband had the SAGE FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLE, my brother-in-law went for the CORNED BEEF HASH, and my mother-in-law picked the SEAFOOD OMELET. Everything was absolutely scrumptious! The portion sizes were just right, and we even had some leftovers to take home. Some people have commented that the dishes could use more seasoning, but there are plenty of condiments available at the table to adjust the flavors to your taste. Sign in sheet out side of the right side of door (widow with all the stickers) *see photoAll in all, the service, food, and atmosphere were fantastic. I can't wait to return!

Great, friendly service! Loved the morning diner vibes the moment I stepped into the restaurant. At first, I thought the place was small but there was an extra room with more tables in the back, which contained artwork along the walls that you could purchase! Talk about small businesses supporting other small businesses and artists I ordered a meat omelette with hashbrown on the side and it was delicious, especially the sausages. Good portion size as well. Definitely looking forward to coming back in the future!

What a great place to grab brunch with friends and family! This homey, old soul feeling restaurant never misses. Though they always have a wait, i've never found myself waiting too long to be seated. My party was sat within 15 minutes. Once sat, the lady waiting our table was quick to grab us drinks. The food: It was impossible to choose one thing! So I got multiple items, of course. The chicken and waffles were delicious, though I wish it wasn't dark meat. But non the less, delicious and filling! The chicken sausage was okay, nothing extraordinary. The biscuits and gravy... the star of the show! Crispy biscuits smothered in gravy with bacon, what more could I ask for? I really enjoy coming to The Morning Fork and trying something new every time. Real comfort food found breakfast in Midtown!

Great diner! Stopped in for brunch. For local Sacramento people it's in the old Lucky Cafe spot ~ which I LOVED in college. There was a small wait outside of @20 minutes, but once in the service was attentive and very friendly. Food arrived quickly and just as ordered. We were a party of four and all ordered something different and all enjoyed our meals. For a no frills, local friendly place with excellent food ~ highly recommend. Food ~ 5/5Service ~ 5/5Ambiance ~ 4/5 (clean, no frills, on the louder side)

Came for the Gluten Free waffles, stayed for the sparkly mimosas! Arriving around 11am on a Sunday, I expected it to be a little busy, but boy do they move quickly! I was told a 20 minute wait for a table and that was easily cut in half. The servers are very attentive, coming around to check on you and take your order promptly. My friend and I were busy yapping and the poor guy must have had to come back to ask us if we needed more time thrice. You have some really great savory and sweet breakfast items available, but I knew I was there for a waffle. I got the bacon waffle with a side of scrambled eggs, and my friend and I split the Lavender Heights mimosa carafe. The waffle was fantastic. For a GF brunch, I typically go to Orphan because I'm in love with their savory cakes, so having this savory waffle was right up my alley (also means you don't have to get a side bacon lol). The edges were nice and crispy with the center being soft, wonderfully soaking up the salted butter and syrup. My friend got the pistachio waffle with a side of biscuits and gravy, and over medium eggs. She said all good things about her order and the pistachio waffle looked amaaaaazing. There are many interesting mimosa options, it was hard for us to pick one. We landed on the Lavender Heights mimosa because it came with edible glitter, and how can I say no to that? It was yummy, not too sweet, and sparkly as heck. I was sad to see that we didn't get the edible flower, and I chocked it up to being winter (so maybe they didn't have any available), but the person next to use got the flower...so perhaps it's because we ordered a carafe. Either way, it was the only "issue" we had, so I'm not too upset. We sat at the counter which was very loud, next time I'll definitely opt for a booth. But it was kinda fun to watch them cook and hustle around. Everyone seemed very on top of their stations. It was very convenient to be able to play via the QR code on the receipt, you can split the checks that way too. I will definitely be back and will keep this place on my shortlist of Gluten Free breakfast spots.

I order the salsa omelette and it is super delish with the side order of sausages. I recommend these two dishes. Coffee was good too. The lady was very attentive if there was anything else we needed and woah this place was packed and we left the place like around 10am on Friday. It was load since there was a lot of people. Place clean and very decorative. Come and eat breakfast here!

I love love love brunch so I'd been wanting to try here for a while. They were really busy so most likely there will be a wait if you go on the weekend. Me and my friend were seated at the bar and service and drinks were good. The food was okay. It came out fresh but it could have been more seasoned. I like how they have A lot of menu options and the homey feel when you walk in but that's about it. Not sure if I need to try different menu items but this brunch place is just okay to me. Definitely prefer tower or orphan.

So, I'm a flight attendant and I try my best to eat at "one off's" and not big chains while I travel. I have been to the Morning Fork at least a dozen times in the last few years and let me just say. THIS PLACE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! The cool atmosphere, the amazingly friendly & prompt service, hip location...and of course...THE FOOD! I have tried a lot from the menu but my go to is the chicken & waffles! I don't know what type of wizardry they use for the batter, but the it hits so hard! So delicious! You can tell the chicken is not frozen, the batter is made in house(my compliments to the creator of the batter.). The syrup is just sweet enough and the small scoop of soft butter is a perfect portion. I always kick myself when I don't order it, but everything else is so good!!! Bravo! I'll see you soon!

If you're going to be in the uptown area of Sacramento and want a good local non-chain breakfast spot, this may be it.Getting here before the crowd (before 9:30am) truly made the difference. We waited only about 15 mins. Food was worth the wait.4/5: Maple Sage Fried Chicken5/5: Chicken Mango Jalapeno Sausage (a must)3/5: Seafood omelette 5/5: Ghirardelli Hot Cherry chocolate (with oat milk) - so good!!Servers were prompt and efficient.Parking: We found street metered parking not far away. Bonus: During certain times, they have a huge flea market across the street!
