Chill spot, good music, open space, great server/bartender. Came in with a few friends, wasn't too busy around 5p during the week.Food Items:Spicy Drunken Noodles (Tofu): 4.2/5- Pretty tasty, nice kick honestly. Tofu was done right, decent portion, decent price. The noodles closely resembled pad thai noodles vs the flat wide noodles- Friend agreed with the above, shrimp was nicely prepped. Classic burger: 4.1/5- Friend said it was good. No complaints. Old Fashion: 4.5/5- tasty. Not watered down, mixed/prepped nice and strong. Local bar, first time visiting. Would def recommend and will return.

If you ask my friends or family, they will tell you that I'm a music aficionado, especially when it comes to 90's to early 2000's R&B and hip-hop. So much so that my dear wife has a love/hate relationship with my love for music. She loves the excitement that I get when a nostalgic song plays, but hates (I use this word lightly) when I wake up early in the morning belting out random songs (I generally always have a song in my heart) as I prepare to go to the gym. Nonetheless, I was elated when I saw that a group called More Nites Like This in partnership with The Midway West Sacramento were hosting a Jukebox R&B Brunch! After coordinating with a friend to reserve a group table, I couldn't wait for the day to arrive! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hosts of the event and a security guard who did a quick screening to ensure that no one had weapons (no complaints from my end). Since our group was much larger than the capacity of the table, some of our party chose to sit in the patio area (which worked out perfectly due to it being a warm fall morning). As we got situated and started ordering drinks from the attentive bartenders (they did a really good job of scanning the crowd to ensure that everyone had an opportunity to place an order), nostalgic tunes started playing within and outside (patio) the restaurant. One of our friends ordered the catfish meal, which looked delicious. If I wasn't so caught up in drinking and dancing (I'm pretty sure that I burned an abundance of calories on the dance floor), I would have ordered some food from the menu. I cannot speak to The Midway Restaurant experience outside of this event; however, they have pretty decent reviews. A friend of mine is currently coordinating with our group to make a return visit early next year to attend the R&B Brunch, I cannot wait. If you love throwback R&B and hip-hop, I recommend buying tickets!

Delicious food. Some of my favorites are the Brussels, fried green beans and the Midway Banh Mi...but truly my favorite, is the Pho-Which-Dip...OMG they are not kidding when they call it a House Favorite! Ah-Mazing! Checkout the menu for its description, just make sure to have a napkin to wipe your drool. ;0PTheir drinks are spot on. I have enjoyed them, even as simple as a mimosa. I do love that they have a great selection of tequila for those days I'm feeling like sipping on something tasty instead of a mixed drink or a beer. I enjoy all the TVs, I can sit just about anywhere and enjoy a game, whether solo or with company. They seem to have a variety of sports on. And the service is also great! They may get busy, so you may need to wait a little while, but their service, the TVs, the company, and amazing food, makes the wait worth it when they're slammed. Although I've been there when it feels quiet and cozy at times, it can get busy and loud, but the good thing is you can always sit outside if it gets too loud inside.

This is my new favorite bar! I've been here a couple times now and the pho is so good! Love that they serve this in a bar. I come here to grab a few drinks and get a pho to go to cure my hangover the next day. This place soothes my soul in so many ways haha. Service has always been great. Def can't wait to come back and try other food items.

Came here because I was gifted a gift card and it was pleasantly very tasty! I particularly enjoyed the lumpia the most. Everything came out quick and our bartender was extremely attentive and quick with refills. The bar had many TVs all around with plenty of seating and would be a great place to watch a game! I will definitely be back and can't wait to try more things in their menu. Overall, this is a great place to watch a game and there's no bad seat in the house. I also read on a sign that they have an R&B brunch!

I visited for happy hour. The tropical margarita was delicious. I would like to try the watermelon margarita during my next visit. The Brussel sprouts are always delicious. This is my go to order during every visit. I also enjoyed the lumpia; however, it was rolled extremely thin that it was not worth the $9 happy hour pricing. I was disappointed with the pho. Instead of rare steak, it was some type of shredded beef. The beef lacked flavor, although it was really tender. The broth had okay flavor. Definitely not the best. I will not order this in the future. Overall, this was an okay dinning experience.

My sister found this place through Tik Tok. I can see why she wanted to check it out. It's not like any other brunch spot. There's security at the front and an entrance fee. Just like a club. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They knew we were not from the area and guided us on how things were run. Tables are reserved only and the bar was open seating. Patio seating was also open seating. We sat at the bar since we showed up on a whim and couldn't get a table. The bartender greeted us and gave us the menu. We ordered French toast with berries and eggs. For drinks, we had the mimosa with our choice of juice. We chose mango and we opted for the bottle instead of just a glass. The atmosphere is like no other brunch place. There was a DJ that played all the classic 80s/90s hip hop and r&b. EVERYONE was singing along to every song. There's an area in front of the DJ that people can go and dance. Drinks were pouring left and right. Definitely a club atmosphere except in the daytime. I enjoyed it mainly because of the music. I grew up listening to hip hop and r&b. The food was standard but the drinks were good. My sister wants to come back here for her birthday. Looks like I'll be making another visit soon.

I came in on a Tuesday for Happy Hour with Judi M. Not too busy at all, and we sat at a booth near the wall with the "Hello Gorgeous" neon signage. Street parking in front, though I parked just over the tracks near the condos since the 1-hour parking enforcement was only until 5:00 PM.QR code to scan for viewing the menu on ToastTab, but also a laminated one provided as well. Forgot to take a photo (it was so pretty too!), but the bartender made me a ($6) mocktail mule in the copper mug, lime slice, fresh mint garnish and all, which was tasty! I'm totally a fan of ginger beer. From the Happy Hour menu (3:00 PM-7:00 PM), we tried the Tempura Green Beans ($7), Mac and Cheese Bites ($9), Balsamic Brussel Sprouts ($7), and Chicken Satay ($9). The only HH food item we didn't get was the Chicken Lumpia ($90, as we're a little biased toward the pork/shrimp kind. If you're interested in Happy Hour Cocktails, they have a tropical margarita ($8), espresso martini ($8), white linen mule ($8), cherry limeade ($8), cucumber gimlet ($8), Red Bull watermelon ($8), or a lychee mai tai ($8). Also, off of their regular menu, we also got the soy garlic wings ($14) and the garlic noodles ($7). To be honest we were more in a munchie mood rather than for full-sized entrees. They did have large TVs on the walls and at the bar, so if you wanted to watch the Kings game it's not a bad spot! The music was a little bit loud, but then again there weren't a ton of people dining in either and maybe we were sitting closer to the speaker system. My favorite of the night hands down had to be the mac and cheese bites!I want to come back and try more of their Asian menu items like the brisket cheese corn, vermicelli bowl, sizzling skillet, pho, drunken noodles, banh mi, spring rolls, bao bites, or bulgogi fries.

The Thai Basil Cooler at Midway is the perfect way to stay cool in this 112 degree heat! They have an awesome happy hour between 3p-7p so this baby was $3 off. The owners Vanna and Luke always say "Hi" when we come through. They've been such a great addition to the community!

I've been coming to Midway for 2 years, and it's always solid. The pho is the best in town--packed with flavor and always on point. The staff is awesome, and trivia night is a great time. Cool vibe, good food, and a fun spot to hang. This is my go to spot and I highly recommend!
