The Melt

Amazing new spot! I personally like the melty mac no breadcrumbs add bacon. Me and my boyfriend have gone here 3 times and they never disappoint 10/10 recommend.

The Melt, Sacramento, CA - February 13, 2025I came in with my wife on a weekday around 11:30 am. They're open 10 am to midnight. The vibe is modern and inviting. They have lots of historical pictures of Sacramento dating to the late 1800s. One of my favorites was a map of Sacramento in its early development before most of the town was built and there were no freeways.You can phone in orders for take out, order at a kiosk and pick up an assigned buzzer, or order at the front counter and receive a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready, We ordered at the front counter.I got an Original Classic Melt Burger, the Mac and cheese, and a strawberry lemonade - $21plus tax and tip. Everything was delicious and I had food leftover to take home.

We decided to stop in for dinner. You can order at the counter or at a kiosk. I chose the counter; hubby took the kiosk. The Manager was so sweet and definitely seemed like he wanted to make sure that the Yelpers were happy! Patty Melt- I love a good patty melt; it was excellent. I really enjoyed how thin the patty was, as it made the meal less messy while providing great flavor. Garlic Parm fries- These fries were incredibly good, with lots of garlic and Parmesan. They were perfectly crispy..Mac Daddy burger- My husband said it was good, but the mac and cheese was just okay.Mac & Cheese (side)- Ample portion and cheesy.Rice crispy treat- Browned butter treat that was delicious!There were a handful of tables inside as well as outside seating. I liked the cute neon signs, nice modern touch. Thanks to yelp for another great event!

The food isn't all bad. I didn't try the fries, so I can't speak to that. The plain Mac and cheese is good. Creamy and tasty. A lot of restaurants give you fancy cheeses and dry m&c, not the case here.We also tried the garlic chicken bacon mac. That was tasty, too. The chicken and bacon were great. The garlic was a little overpowering for my tastes, but that's just me. The wife loved it.The problem was the burger... We got the double melt burger with bacon. Just to preface, I love a good greasy bacon cheeseburger. Love it. But this was too much. We brought it to the table and it was sitting in an absolute pool of grease. Just trying to pick it up, my hands were covered in it. It soaked through 5 layers of napkins, and there was no getting it out of the bun. Every time I picked it up my hands would get slimed again. It made me lose my appetite. You also order at a kiosk, grab your own drinks, carry a pager so they can let you know when you can come up and pick up your food, and you clean up after yourself. Despite all that, they still ask for a tip when ordering. Absolutely bonkers.I can see people digging this place. My wife loves it. Nice ambiance, community branded and area focused, but it's for sure not for me.

This is probably my new favorite burger place in the area. The beef party is thick and cooked to medium. The cheese is perfectly melted and a thick layer. I think the best garlic parmesan fries I've ever tried. I've tried the shroom&Swiss burger and the spicy mission. Both delicious but I think I do prefer the spicy mission. The space is clean, modern, and cozy. The service is attentive, quick, and kind.

It was a cheesetastic experience. The address with gps took me behind the restaurant and I had to do some quick thinking, but made it. The sent of cheese and sounds of kitchen noises greet you as you enter.The menu had something for everyone! Mac n cheese, burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, grilled cheeses, shakes made to order, and organic sodas. Don't forget the hip modern building look outside and inside. The neon signs are picture perfect and the food will make you come back. Highly recommend.

Decided to stop in for lunch since my hubby and eldest were famished. My husband ordered an Original Meltburger with Garlic Parmesan Fries, Snickerdoodle Hand-spun Shake. He didn't not care for his burger, fries were over seasoned and not worth $5 extra, but said the milkshake was amazing. My 8 year old ordered the Kid's Macaroni and Cheese. She loved her mac & and cheese and fresh granny smith apple slices!The shop is really nice, plenty of seating and the customer service was great! 5 stars 10 out of 10 ...just try it! You won't regret it! If you want a quick service place with outstanding food and customer service this is the place! When you walk in you are greeted by an employee at the register where you can order from or if it's too busy they have self order screens too for your convenience. I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger and it was delicious! The part that bring the sandwhich all together is the crispy onions! The burger patty was cooked perfectly with a little pink. The original chicken Sandwhich was also outstanding both tasted freshly made and cooked with love! The friessssss! The garlic fries reminded me of garlic fries from sf giant games but with a hint of red chili flakes which made it even better! The regular fries were seasoned great as well. Now the sodas...I am a huge Coca Cola fan and they have alameda sodas on tap and surprisingly I enjoyed them! But they do have canned Diet Coke and Coke and pre made strawberry lemonade in the grab n go area. Inside was very clean and welcoming. The staff was kind and anticipated the needs of guests before we even asked. She came around and asked how everything was and handed some people ranch and napkins if they wanted it. First time at melt and the experience did not disappoint. I did come here for a special elite Yelp experience and got to try their double Swiss shroom burger, garlic Parmesan fries and mini Mac. This location is fairly new so everything looks new and modern and you can order up front or use one of the electronic kiosks to order your meal. I went here with my husband during peak lunch hour and my food was ready within 5 minutesI love that you can choose how well done you would like your beef patty. Medium was cooked perfectly and it was nice and juicy with every bite and had a great beefy taste which I loved. There was plenty of cheese and perfectly melted and paired very nicely with the burger. They also give you a spear of dill pickle which is nice The garlic Parmesan has tons of garlic value but it was a bit too oily for me. The mini Mac was delicious and classic Mac and cheese for me. It wasn't heavy or salty and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Overall, definitely worth a try and feels more upscale than your typical burger joint. Try their burgers for sure and get something with cheese inside. Next time I'll have to try their melted cheese sandwiches
