Amazing! One of a kind experience. The staff was fun and friendly. Everyone was so nice, even the diners themselves. Food here is out of this world. Very innovative and delicious! The food here is next level, and bring anyone here if they love innovative food and quality. My favorite thing about this restaurant is that if you like a dish you ate, all you have to do is ask them to make it for you and they will, anytime throughout the night. Parking is easy to get to, and there is a line that forms outside the restaurant. The noise level is pretty loud, and at the end of the night, if you're celebrating something, they will go around the tables letting everyone know! How thoughtful of them! I would come again for the experience and for the food!

The Kitchen in Sacramento was such a fun and unique experience -- totally different from other Michelin spots I've been to (as said by everyone in the reviews). Even though the menu lists a certain number of dishes, they go way off-menu and just keep feeding you. The appetizers at the beginning were awesome too -- you can walk around, grab bites, and try a bunch of stuff. It honestly felt like the world's greatest upscale buffet since you can ask for more of pretty much anything. The value is AMAZING for what you get. I came with a big group, and I loved how they encouraged us to walk around and talk loudly -- none of that stiff, quiet vibe you usually get at Michelin places. The whole environment just made me so happy and energized. Favorite dishes? Definitely the pork loin, shiso leaf tuna, and their desserts. Least favorite was the oysters with the coconut cream topping and the oyster shooter. The beef was tender but felt a little mushy (maybe sous vide for too long?) but the sauce made up for anything lacking. The quality of the food didn't feel as high as other Michelin spots but everything was very well done. The overall experience completely made up for it. I left feeling so full and joyful and I can't wait to come back! Also listen to the other reviewers - eat a light lunch!

I didn't realize how fast reservations went. I accessed the website right at 10 and saw most of them were gone. The date I wanted to go was not available anymore and any other dates I clicked on kept disappearing. Luckily, when I went back in a little bit, my date was available again so I tried to complete the reservation and pay asap.Service was excellent. They called in advance to make sure they get information regarding what you like and don't like so they don't put the ingredients you don't like in front of you. When you get there, everyone was really nice and professional. I have no complaints about service and they deserve their 22% tips.I enjoyed my experience at The Kitchen in general. I loved the baked cod fish and the cod fish ceviche most. I ordered them twice. The cocktail was also great, sweet & sour & fruity, right up my alley. Other food was okay but I didn't love them. The most disappointing part is the desserts. I don't think they are Michelin star worthy. The macarons were done right and they were good but I have to say I didn't feel they were amazing. Other desserts were okay. The cookies were too hard/crunchy and not good. Choux weren't good either. They need to make better desserts to worth what they want us to pay. We didn't end with a great note at the end of the night because of the dessert.

Wow!!! Just wow! I don't think I have enough words to describe just how amazing this place is. The staff and the chefs are incredible and their food the most amazing dishes I have ever had. Everything is presented and prepared perfectly. The smallest details are carefully and properly ensured to perfection. They are a Michelin star restaurant for a reason! If you are able to and lucky enough to get a reservation, book it with no hesitation, you will not be disappointed, I promise you! I will most definitely make this a once a year visit.

If you have a meal here and don't enjoy it, you might have come in with ridiculous expectations and an inability to let loose. This is NOT your "typical" Michelin Star restaurant experience. No hoity-toity attitudes. No frowns because people didn't wear ties and jackets. Cameras were welcome as well as active participation. They are very specific and where guests should park their cars. The front door opened on time at 5pm. Each group was seated by a staff member. We met several staff members and had short chats with them while they worked. Chef Gio came by our table a couple of times to check on us and ask us what we thought of the experience. The Sommelier, whose name I can't remember, stopped by when our friends wanted her to taste the bottle of wine that they had brought in, to get her opinion of it. They had a nice conversation regarding wine tasting experiences and winemakers that they knew in common. Kelly, the General Manager stopped by to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. We met numerous servers whose names I can't remember. There was one young staffer who greeted us when we first arrived. When she found out that we were there to celebrate a birthday, she admitted that it was her birthday as well. The same for Jerry. I think he was a Sous Chef? In honor of his own birthday, he sang a song for the guests. Every staff member made great eye contact, smiled and was happy to answer any questions that anyone had. There are so many positive comments that I could make but others have already made them. Was each individual dish the best that I had ever had? No. But they were still darned good. There was nothing that wasn't good. And when you combine good food with a fun filled atmosphere, you definitely end up with a winner! When we entered, each party was taken to their seats. Once everyone was seated, a quick explanation was given that we were to wander throughout the restaurant including the kitchen. We were told that interaction with the staff was encouraged and the food that was placed throughout were our appetizers. The staff member next to the items were the preparers of the items and they could answer our questions. Then we were told to begin wandering. I mostly enjoyed this portion of the meal with some reservations. When everyone is walking around at the same time and there is no specific traffic pattern, everyone ends up in everyone else's way. It could be beneficial to create a flow to ensure that everyone see's everything and actually gets a chance to try all the appetizers. It wouldn't matter where one started, just flow in the same direction. After about 30 minutes, the remaining appetizers were collected and guests were invited to return to their seats as service was about to begin. Their goal is to not run out of anything so even after they were collected, you could ask for seconds and thirds if desired. Portions were not large, but they were more than sufficient. Toward the end of the meal, I requested a couple of items that I had enjoyed and they were served to me right about the time that the desserts were being served. Not to worry. As soon as I finished those items, I got the same desserts that everyone was enjoying. The only misstep that I noticed was that I would have enjoyed more coffee than what was brought around during dessert. Would we return? Absolutely! I would like to come back at different times of the year to try seasonal specialties.

Simply the best dining experience I have ever had. The food was exquisite. The presentation and overall experience was so fun and unique - it felt like we were at a party. The restaurant delivers more than just a meal--it offers an immersive, theatrical journey through the senses, making it a top choice for food lovers and anyone looking to mark a special occasion. The true star of The Kitchen is, of course, the food. The restaurant operates on a tasting menu format, which is a multi-course adventure that showcases the creativity and precision of the chefs. Every dish is thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The tasting menu changes frequently, so each visit offers a new set of surprises.I did the wine pairing for this first time at The Kitchen, but I probably would not do it again and would be happy with two or so glasses of wine throughout the night.I didn't eat for a day and a half after - have never been so happily full.

If you're looking for an upscale place with great food and no snobby people lol...this is the place! From the Head Chef to the servers this place is top notch and a fun place to be. Hard to put in words, Imagine a restaurant with great food and you have the option to walk around and go to the kitchen and cook and try everything you want. The ONLY upscale restaurant that's basically an all you can eat and EVERYTHING taste great! Will definitely come again!

I went on Friday, June 7th, 2024 at the new building next to Bike Dog and Selland's. This was an incredible, unique experience from start to finish and I was able to surprise my boyfriend up to the point of when we parked (he didn't realize they had moved), so just made for such a memorable night.Thank goodness my friend Michelle who had gone before told me to pretty much fast the whole day, because it is so much food. I loved all of it and the fact that they just let you pretty much explore wherever you want is very cool. The building has no markings on the outside so you wouldn't even know it was there. My boyfriend just realized where I was taking him after reading the reserved parking sign :). This was in celebration of our 1st year dating anniversary (which apparently many people thought to be too lavish of a celebration, bc there were people there celebrating 20+ years married)...when they announced what everyone was there celebrating and got to us, they said 1 year marriage and we just went with it. Lol.We go in and were seated in the best seats (in our opinion) right at the counter front and center (I wanna say seats 11 and 12 or close to there). We then got up and walked around the the different parts of the kitchen, the dish washing station, the wine storage area...there were plenty of hor'doerves all around. Defintely go in with an open mind and try everything. Im not a fan of olives or sashimi, but that night I ate it all.We started with oysters, beef tartar, fried olives, etc. They also brought us dill potato chips and cherries at our seat. The menu, called the Playbill, had all of our Courses (Acts) displayed and wine pairings. It was so beautiful. We got a total of 6 courses, with an intermission oyster/sashimi plate and desserts galore. Also cheese board and coffee/tea service and they sent us home with homemade madelines. Oh almost forgot, they also gave us this amazing green avocado smoothie like palate cleanser after the 1st course. I will let my photos speak for themselves, but my favorites were the beef tenderloin with whipped parmesan cheese and the halibut plate. Also loved the bread and the panna cotta dessert. I kind of want to ask for a main course to go next time and see if they allow that ;)Next time I would not do the wine pairing...I might just order one glass of champagne to toast, but those little pours add up and I was feeling extra full and tipsy by the 4th tasting (6 total). It was also way too pricey for it (and they don't let you request any second pours of anything). The thing that really stood out to me was that the chefs and workers didn't just have to have culinary expertise but also be entertainers amd interact with us as well. That is quite a skill set to have. I also noticed any time I got up, staff would come and neatly fold my napkin (even if I had folded it).It did end up being a lot more expensive than I realized so just be aware of that (those taxes and the required 22% service fee add up) - I think with the experience and the seasonal wine pairing for 2, I paid a total of $880.64. Also to note, they ask you when you make your reservation online if you want to add the drink package, but they don't have you pay it until you get to the restaurant. So I went into it thinking my reservation payment was all inclusive (for $522.43)- but then later at the restaurant found I hadn't been charged for the drink package quite yet.Dress code: varied, but I would recommend business casual. I wore a summer dress and bf wore button up with slacks. This is a beautiful venue and you want to treat it as a special occasion.
