The Dragon House

The Dragon House ... what a cool name. This place is a take out Chinese and Vietnamese food place. They serve up old school Chinese American and Vietnamese food. Portions are huge and filling. Basic, classic flavors. The business is family ran and they are the nicest. The menu is quite extensive. The menu has soup (noodle, wonton, seafood bean cake, egg flower, hot n sour) , charbroiled meats over vermicelli or rice plates, Chinese entrees, Vietnamese entrees, appetizers, fried rice and chow mein. So many choices. My favorite dish here is beef broccoli. Tender slices of beef and wok cooked just so perfectly crisp, tender broccoli. I gotta say they are a bit heavy handed with the garlic in this dish though. I luv me some garlic. Not complaining just informing. I also enjoy the soups. Basic, simple flavors. Consistently prepared. They're located in downtown Sacramento among office buildings and next to the city burbs. They're open Monday - Friday mainly for lunch. The interior is bare bones. There is no indoor seating but they do have a few outdoor tables.

I just had the shrimp spring rolls, cream cheese crab Rangoons, and the Thai tea. Everything was yummy!

My favorite item from here is the vietnamese charred pork over rice. The rice is viet rice. The pork has a nice marinate and thin little slices. The portion is great too and comes with a nice green salad too. The price is wonderful too. .Also it's a great walk from work which isn't too far away. It's next to la bou if your wondering. .My co worker got some chow mein and fried rice here which he chose veggie option. I tasted it and loved it. I was surprised how comforting it was. Those were what he chose to bring to a pot luck and it fed many of us too. .My other co worker got a banh mi sandwich from here and I forgot I'f she liked it or not. But now her go to order is the vietnamese pork over rice too. Hope this review helps andthanks for reading . Have a yelptastic day.

Service was good...hesitant to return bc it just wasn't that good and surprised they did not have Sriracha sauce.They only let you do half rice/half chow mein with a one item combo. The sweet and sour pork was lacking in flavor and quantity. They seemed to give me more of the chow mein and rice as filler.Just a counter you order at and take to go, although there are tables to sit at outside.

Food was subpar. I ordered orange chicken and chow mein. The chow mein taste like top ramen noodles. The orange chicken was dry and tasted old.Will not revisit this restaurant.

Food so buss that we forgot to take a picture of it until halfway through. I got the Bay Bridge roll (clearly I liked this one a little bit more because there's only 1 left) and the Tsunami roll (the one with the jalapeños on top). Mushroom Bomb with the imitation crab was a recommended appetizer that was not a disappointment. 10/10 would get it again.Overall super yummy & super nice staff :D

Good food, good customer service, decent ambiance. I love Mongolian beef, however Dragon House puts too much rice and not enough meat.

It's a nice spot to grab a quick bite. They started serving sushi today. Haven't tried it yet but I intend to the next time I come.

I got the Charbroiled Pork with rice, I took a few bites before taking the photo lol but this isn't exactly charbroiled and that's the only reason I did put 5 stars because it is still delicious and reminds me of a Vietnamese pork dish my grandma makes. The seating outside is nice, and service was great. I will return.

Food is very bland. I got s&s chicken, kung pao and chow main. It's hot, I'll give them that, but Panda Express tastes better. Someone should check if it passes health and safety.
