Basil with tofu and brown rice
Inside the Curry Puff: a flaky dry curry empanada; pretty good and pairs well with sweet sauce
Chicken Wings Appetizer
Pad Thai with Tofu and no bean sprouts: noodles have good chewy bounce and dish has a lot of flavor!
Thai Tea
Green Curry with Tilapia: delicious! Perfectly tender flaky fish. It was $16.95 (not $15.95 as it says on the menu)
Red Curry with beef (comes with choice of rice): bold flavors and really good!
Thai Ice Tea: on the sweeter side but pairs well with the bold flavors of their food.
Fresh Roll

Fresh Roll and Red Curry
Pad See Ew: (ordered no spice because their spice is usually on the hotter side) good savory flavor; a tad on the salty side for me
Curry puff, chicken pad Thai and beef drunken noodles
interior
Drunken Noodle (Pad Kee Mao): really good; I liked the See Ew a little better only because I'm not a fan of bell peppers

Really enjoyed my meal here. The highlight of this place is the water and I don't mean that in a bad way. The water was just really damn good lol. When they refilled it I saw that there was a variety of fruit inside the water pitcher to give it its flavor. Service was nice and the food portion was good. My friends got the boat noodles and there was a generous amount of meat.

Small restaurant with good food! Coconut Elk Grove has great Thai tea, avocado curry, and pad thai. Those are my go to Thai good items and delicious. I also like the fresh roll for something light. The restaurant has a small dining area that can't accommodate pairs and small groups only. The restaurant is clean as well. There is a parking lot - although the lot gets busy, there are always parking spots. There are options next door for dessert! Consider grabbing a bite here, and getting boba or an açaí bowl in the same plaza.

We were really hungry after swimming and looking for a local spot with some flavor and decided on The Coconut. We were so happy!!!!The food is very tasty, veggies super fresh and lots of them and the brown rice was special. Lots of food for post workout hunger. We can't wait to go back. And our server was super patient and helpful with the menu.We liked that it was a smaller not loud environment so we could chat and chew.

I got some take out from here recently and it was delicious. Food portions were great. We tried the chicken yellow curry, the chicken pad Thai, the beef drunken noodle and garlic pepper beef. Everything was delicious. This will be my new favorite go to spot in Elk Grove for Thai food. The service was fast. We didn't dine in. It looked a little small but cozy. The price was right for the food though so we were happy.

I fear that the Coconut has become one of the best Thai places in Elk Grove. My family and I live to visit and are hoping that it stays for a long time! It is tucked away in a quiet hole in the wall and the inside it quite small. Don't let the location fool you though, the food is fantastic. The chicken pad thai is consistently yummy and one of our favorite dishes to order. The chicken eggplant dish is full of vegetables and the sauce is soo full of flavor. Overall, the Coconut has consistently delivered delicious food and has become quickly become one of our favorite lunch spots.

This place is definitely a hole in the wall. I mean the other location in Sac has built a reputation for itself, but this Elk Grove location is newer, small and humble. At first, I thought the prices were kinda high, but after getting the food, I think the prices are appropriate. Each entree comes with a good serving of white or brown rice. The entrees are cooked well. The meat is lean and there's a lot of vegetables. The food is very flavorful and leaves you feeling satisfied. I would love to come back and dine in to get the full experience, although I was already impressed with the take out experience.

Fantastic! I rarely find a Thai place that truly makes me sweat and my booty hole burn but they sure did deliver! Ordered the papaya salad (Thai style) and Basil entree with chicken. Asked for Thai hot (their spiciest). Good portions and great flavors. Hoping they last as there has been a rotation of restaurants at this location.

A quiet small hole in a wall Thai restaurant. I'm not sure how long The Coconut EG has been here but it used to be a Korean place with really good kimbap and bulgogi bowl. We came here for lunch on Saturday and the place was filled up pretty quickly, so plan ahead because of the limited tables. Curry Puff was good and nicely fried. Nothing to rave about. The Chicken Pad Thai was very good and a staple dish. The waiter will ask you for the spicy level. The Mango Shrimp Salad was excellent. Fresh ingredients and generous portion. It's a perfect dish for the hot summer days in Sacramento or when you crave for something refreshing. Friendly and attentive staff. I like it that I didn't feel rushed like other smaller restaurant because they are trying to turn the table around quickly.

Kao soy 9/10, pad thai 7/10, yellow curry 8/10, beef noodle soup 8/10. Everything was pretty good but three of my family members ended up having stomach issues after. We do not live together and it was the only meal we shared. I've been to the coconut in Sacramento and it tasted better. Will not be coming back to this location.

Had lunch here today for the first time and it was delicious! Had the pad Thai with chicken and basil with shrimp! Also enjoyed a glass of Thai Ice tea! Both dishes were delicious and tasted so fresh! Our server was patient with us since we didn't know what to try! Everything on the menu looked delicious! The restaurant is on the smaller side but had several tables to enjoy dining in. I will definitely come back again to try other items in the menu.
