Newly expanded studio with a great floor, lots of mirrors, and plenty of barre space.
Zoom classes available!
Three students after class. I am one of them.:)
No mask requirement at this time, but you are welcome to wear one in class.

Still enjoying classes at the Ballet Studio. Thursday with Robyn is now an intermediate class. Robyn encourages and gives thoughtful corrections to students of all levels. Her experience as a professional ballerina and training as a massage therapist lend anatomical knowledge. Wednesdays Sam's classes are faster paced but often feature a stretch session, and are are always fun. Katie's Saturday morning pointe/prepointe is a wonderful workout benefiting greatly from Katie's academic and expereicntial credentials. It is very strengthening also for students not yet on pointe due to all the footwork and relevés, as well as laser focus on correct placement. Pam's classes challenge both fitness and ability to catch on quickly to choreography--exhilerating!Now Coco teaches a new Friday evening class. She is a beautiful dancer and knowledgeable instructor.

I've been wanting to get back into ballet since dancing as a kid. This studio is great in that it specializes in teens and adults. I've been taking Katie's class and she's great! She's given me a lot of corrections and I'm feeling stronger and more flexible than ever! Would definitely recommend to anyone who's new or wanting to get back into it.

I started dancing as an adult and have been to many studios across the U.S. and even in Japan. This studio is my favorite! There are a variety of levels available and classes EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK! The owner, instructors, and students are welcoming and non-judgmental. All body types and ability levels are welcome. This is the place to dance as an adult, whether you did ballet as a child or not.

I have been going to The Ballet Studio since 2017. It has always been a welcoming place for EVERYBODY: ALL ages, skill levels, physical ability, you name it. The teachers all very knowledgeable, patient, good humored and with different styles of teaching, which is very useful, because we get different perspectives. I take 6 hours of ballet every week: 4 hours of technique and 2 of stretching. The other day I noticed how every one of us is getting into shape after the pandemic. It is a great workout, our technique is getting better and we are having fun. Tuition is very reasonable and, Vaughn, the owner, bless her heart, keeps the air conditioning working in summer and the heat in winter. That, I am told, is a real plus!

The Ballet Studio is STILL one of my favorite places to take ballet classes in Sacramento. It has fantastic teachers who are professional but still warm, welcoming, and encouraging. It is truly a judgement-free zone with a great sense of camraderie between the students. Always wanted to learn ballet but never got the opportunity? Come to this studio. Always wanted to learn pointe? This place will help you realize that dream. Dance major on vacation? This place will help keep you and your technique in shape. This is truly a studio for everyone.

Undoubtedly one of the best decisions I have made as an adult. The Ballet from the Beginning series is absolutely fabulous. Heidi is a phenomenal instructor who pays close attention and gets to know her students and how they move. This class is a thorough introduction to classical ballet and gets you prepared if you do decide to continue dancing and join in on their more advanced courses. The studio has changed a lot in the last year, they have upgraded and renovated. Absolute HIGHEST recommendation.

TBS has become a PAY TO PLAY game. This studio used to be unique in that they valued the passion and talent of the dancer over their financial contribution to the business. However, with ownership changes in the last couple years the focus at TBS has also changed. Dancers who pay for more classes and have all the latest accessories are promoted regardless of skill level. If a parent is late on a payment the dancer feels the sting. It has also been noticed that the yearly performance has lost it's luster and emphasis on a good story. Costumes with little connection to the character portrayed and choreography that doesn't fit the music are just a couple examples of the disappointment felt by most viewers of this year's recital. It's time to look elsewhere for the special experience my daughter deserves from my financial investment in a dance studio.

I have always dreamed of learning ballet, and now at 22 yrs old, I can! This studio is fantastic in encouraging and improving the technique of everyone. I have a few serious body injuries which can affect my range of motion and flexibilty and this studio is really accomodating. They do not put pressure on flexibilty and really focus that you are getting the technique down the best your body can do. All the instructors are so kind and talented and coming to this studio is the highlight of my week!
