Great flavors and you can tell it's freshly cooked. Love and appreciate the quick customer service. The curry served here is to die for! Real authentic Thai Food. Would I come back? Absolutely.

We stopped in on a weeknight to curb a soup craving. I got the tofu tom kha soup, he got the chicken tom kha soup. It was maybe 10:15pm on a Wednesday but people were still filing in, it was nice and lively. Service was a good pace and very friendly.The soup portion isn't crazy; I guess for $10 in this area it's just about expected--could be bigger, of course. I love tom kha soup because it's creamy and comforting without being too heavy, while still having interesting flavors. My issue with this restaurant's tom kha is that it is way way too sweet. The broth is extreme in BOTH the sweet and salty directions--I feel it could benefit from being a little thinner, with more sour and lightness. This was a difficult soup to enjoy because it started getting very unpleasant to swallow...just so much sweetness and saltiness for this broth. Very cloying, which is not a good adjective for soup.Otherwise the amount of protein in it is very good. I would come again to try some of the other items if i happened to be around!

I've tried their Davis location multiple times and loved their food and always wanted to visit their sac location. My friend and I arrived on a late afternoon on a weekend and it was fairly quiet. We ordered their pad thai and pad kee mao at the counter and the food came out quickly. My pad kee mao was well seasoned and flavorful. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the vegetables added great texture to the dish. My friend really enjoyed her pad thai and thought it was delicious! Great food and service! Will definitely be coming back!

CIM weekend. Packet pick-up day! Once done at convention center my cousin took me try favorite Thai spot for lunch. It located in the heart of downtown close to state capital. I can understand more so why it cousin favorite right across the street from his place.The sign out front kind of small and outside deceiving thinking is there restaurant inside. Once get inside realize nice place very chill open area with some cool interior decor. The way it works order at the counter give u number and bring the food to u. The menu is not very big, nice diversity, and like chalkboard style board. It broken down rice plates, noodles plate, salad, apps, and my first time lot to choose. I settled on the Panand Neur rice plates. It comes nice portion of rice. The bowl of Panang Neur was heavenly! It hit all the right spots. Dish would highly recommend!If in downtown near state capital looking for Thai food. Thai Canteen is winnah!!!!

My friends and I had such a great time at Thai Canteen! The menu is simple and has ample options for vegetarians/vegans. We ordered the green curry with tofu, the pad see ew with fried tofu, and the vegetable egg rolls. They were all delicious. I especially loved the eggplant in the green curry. Highly recommend coming during their Happy OR Happier Hour. There were plenty of drink and food options to enjoy. We got the Thai tea with the house Sake and it was an unsurprisingly delicious combo. Plenty of seating inside with a little patio outdoors with high tables. The staff was nice and it was super easy to just come in and order at the counter. We'll definitely be back!

Ordering through Uber Eats when it's a new to us restaurant is always a crapshoot. This time we missed. Had I received this food in a restaurant, I would have sent it back.The photos you see are three entrées for $53. When the delivery man first brought the bag I thought we were missing something. What makes it worse is that my soup had no ingredients and the broth was salty. The pad thai is sad, and the kappur looked like dog food. This was supposed to be dinner for 3 adults. Next time we will wait for our regular Thai place to open for dinner.

We walked in and happened to catch happy hour. My favorite thing here is the fried pork hands down!! Get it over right and it's game over! We ordered a draft IPA. Delicious.The cashier recommended the spicy chicken wings and I am so happy she did because they were delicious and not very spicy at all! Will definitely come back when we're in the area!

Thai Canteen has been my go-to Thai restaurant since I moved to Sacramento. It is praised for its cozy atmosphere and friendly service, making it a great place for casual dining. They offer a diverse menu that includes a variety of traditional dishes such as Pad Thai, Green Curry, and various stir-fries, all made with fresh ingredients. The food consistently tastes the same, which is hard to find in most restaurants. My mom, who is part Thai and the hardest person to impress, also loves this place.

Honestly super dissatisfied with the food and customer service. When ordering I felt rushed even though there were no people behind me. And as my food was being brought out I saw the girl with space buns who was working at the window COUGH all over our food. Didn't even try to cover her mouth. Literally looked like Niagara Falls with all of the spit that poured all over our dishes. VERY UNSANITARY. Won't be coming back and will be telling EVERYONE in my office building not to order here. If yall want spit with a side of food this place is perfect for you
