Taste of Pho is still a new place, but they have established themselves as a local Vietnamese staple for me! While they have your typical dishes like pho, vermicelli, and rice plates, but they also have a variety of dishes that other locations do not typically offer. In regard to service they are quick and polite; they checked up on me often to make sure everything was going good! The restaurant is very cozy. I am sure you will find the perfect dish to suit your tastebuds needs!

Shoutout to my in-laws for requesting "soup" for lunch, which prompted my search for pho in Elk Grove and led us to Taste of Pho. I didn't even know Taste of Pho had opened, so I was eager to try a new Viet spot in town. The location itself is on the smaller side, and we lucked out by getting the last open table during the Sunday lunch rush. The waitress who took our order and served us was really nice and friendly, and we could definitely get that sense of a homey family-owned business.Between my husband and my in-laws, all three of them ordered some variation of soup, perfect for a brisk Winter afternoon. I was the odd one out and ordered the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork. I got to sample the beef pho, which was super comforting and just the right amount of beefy and rich without being too heavy. The vermicelli bowl was soo good. I especially loved their fish sauce, which had all kinds of goodness blended into it! The pork was really flavorful and the egg roll was fried fresh.I'm so happy to have a great Viet option right in Elk Grove. We'll be back for sure.

First of all, I was so excited to even see the sign put up in my neighborhood. We used to go to a Pho spot that closed down, so my husband and I were hoping the Pho was going to be good considering surrounding Pho places aren't that great. When we walked in I could tell right away it resembled a Mom and Pop shop, they were fairly busy, but the waitress was able to seat us quickly. We were warmly greeted and the service was excellent. She even apologized for the wait, however, we didn't wait too long before she took our order. To her it may have seemed long since she was the only one waiting all the tables and bringing food out. We got our food pretty quick. You can actually see them making our food at the counter since there's a glass window and I could tell they really craft their meals well and put a lot of effort into the dishes. We ordered 3 different types of Pho and 3 different types of noodles each and my son had the BBQ pork plate plus some egg rolls.I can say that after the first sip, we knew we were coming back. No to-go boxes were needed and we left no crumbs. All their food was absolutely delicious. I didn't get a chance to take any photos, but when we go back, I will update the post. I'm excited to try more of their dishes!Update: 2nd visit, they remembered us and welcomed us back. I tried their BBQ Vermicelli bowl and was super delish. Their portions were really good! Even got their Vietnamese Iced Coffee.

The chicken feet was good and homemade chili was bomb.Very limited menu, they have pho, pho, and pho, hence the name, so if you are looking for more than that, this may not be the place for you.Service was good and the price is comparable to other places. It's a good place if you need a quick fix to a pho craving. It's a small place, not recommended for large parties.

Came here around 1 on a saturday. Its a pretty small cute place. You order at the counter first then sit down. I ordered the custom beef pho with brisket and rare beef and got the bean sprout plate. Total was around 15. The pho came out pretty fast. The bowls pretty small but its full, lots of noodles and theyre generous with the meat too so i was very full. The broth is pretty decent, tasted good but not the best pho ive had. It was very filling and for the price its not bad. Seems like a family owned restaurant, all the ppl were very nice and friendly(Sorry bad photo)

I reallyyyyyy wanted to like this place. But unfortunately, it just wasn't very good. The soup tasted off and the pho noodles was a bit waterlogged. The seafood banh canh wasn't good either. The egg rolls were tangy. We left most of the food behind and were disappointed.

Delicious! We ordered spring rolls which consisted with shrimp, pork and veggies. Came with this sweet hoisin sauce topped with carrots and peanuts. We also ordered Vietnamese salad with surf clams and shrimp. Very light and refreshing! I would say maybe a tad bit more fish sauce? I wonder if we can add some heat to the salad? Hmm.Lastly, I got the custom pho, one size, for meat I asked for beef ball and raw beef. The broth was light, wasn't too salty. The balance between noodles and proteins was on point! They did not skimp out lol. Next time though, I would ask if I can get my beef rawr on the side. I personally do not like overcooked beef. For service, our waitress came to check on us several times. We were so busy eating we forgot to ask for more napkins. LolThe chef that cooked the salad came out and let us know if we needed more sauce to our salad, he will do it. So nice of him!! The inside was a tad bit small but very bright! They take all kinds of payment, even Apple Pay. The set up is similar to Sit Lo Saigon. You pay for your meal, find a seat, and wait for your food. Parking isn't too bad. When we came, there was parking.

Really cool to see a spot that try to add more interesting things on the menu.Let's talk Salad. I really enjoy the mix and match concept of the Viet salad. Had try it a couple of times now. Always really getting shrimp and surf clams and does not disappoint. I do want some extra salad dressing on the side so the bottom layer is more balanced. They had the mountain jelly salad which is really hot in Vietnam right now so it's good to try. Unfortunately the salad said it would come with mango/papaya but the mountain jelly one did not have that. Which I guess is ok since it's already a lot of flavor. They should fix the menu. I did not try the pho but my boyfriend said it was ok. He prefers Pho Ivy.The other thing that is pretty cool is that have snails! I've tried the coconut version and the butter corn - I actually ate the whole lb plate myself. Both are really good. Feel like sometimes you risk having a dead one that isn't so good but I didn't get any of that. The coconut version is better , but the butter corn itself was delectable as it's own dish. Would come back for some snails , not so much snail option in Elk Grove.

Who eats pho when it's over 100 degrees? Apparently, I do. Taste of Pho is a new pho place in Elk Grove. Order at the counter before sitting down.I had the "custom pho" with rare beef and flank. The taste of the broth was fine, but it was a bit too oily for me. Additionally, the portion wasn't very big and I did not leave feeling full. It would be acceptable if the price was a buck or two cheaper, but I felt slightly ripped off after leaving. It's pretty small inside, with one table seating about 8 people and a handful of tables seating 2-4 people.Service was very good, and I wish this business well, especially as it appears to be family owned/operated.

Got a beef custom pho and chicken pho to try both. They both taste had great broth with layered taste. The beef pho had a much beefier flavor and slightly more sour than we're used to. The color is much darker than the golden elixir found in Socal joints. But the quality and quantity of meat was great, especially the brisket. The chicken pho was also slightly sour and had a complicated herbal taste like Chinese herbs. Would only get the beef pho again but the chicken was a nice experience. They charge for to go containers if you often take leftovers home. Great attentive service. They had two giant TVs, playing soccer when we were there. Plenty of parking in a big clean lot.
