First time trying Taste of Original and it was amazing! Friendly staff and super delicious food. There were 13 of us and we definitely feasted. I can't believe I didn't know about this place before. I highly recommend and look forward to coming back.

The best crispy rice noodle in CA and even better than most places in Asia.Rice rolls are also also above average. Add an egg for $1.5, Totally worth it! Steamed Rice dishes tasted normal.Parking space is a bit tight. Park further if you have a nice car.

Ordered food to go.Ordered the pork and chive rice roll and beef rice roll and preserved egg and congee.The food was packaged very well. Each dish was hot and fresh. Thought i over ordered but the food was so good that 2 of us ended up finishing all 3 dishes. Do i have a favorite out of the 3? No, they were all equally flavorful. I hope to dine in there next time!

I really enjoy this place because of the options. When we talk about soup or congee we have at least 10 variations from beef to fish. They have noodle soups and stir fry. The beef chow fun (dry) always satisfying although they do put a lot of bean sprouts. They have over 7 different options from shrimp & chive to chinese donut and the ability to add egg to each rice roll. For entrees you can get sizzling platters to clay plot dishes. There really is everything here to eat alone or family style. There are many garlic vegetables dishes that I always have to get to feel a bit healthier. I love the simplicity in decor here and it's feels bright and clean. The customer service here isn't too bad even at the busiest times. I can go here for lunch or dinner and find something I enjoy eating, just good chinese comfort food.

My family are from Taishan (a small city in Guangdong Province where lots of overseas Chinese in the U.S. are from). This restaurant serves very authentic and tasty Taishanese street food. Many of our out of town friends and family also enjoy the food. Besides the yummy food and specialty dishes, they are very accommodating and the service is good overall. I highly recommend this restaurant! Some good dishes to order are: steam rice noodle roll with beef, cilantro & egg; fried donut; fried fillet with black pepper; steam rice in clay pot; fujian pan-fried rice noodle; Lo Mein with just green onion and ginger.

Great food. How do I know? Because my picky Canto parents who knows the Canto restaurant well (with personal and Panda Express experience) actually likes this place. Thanks for the recommendations Miaos! I dare you to disagree with three Canto families and their super Canto palette. Also approved by Koreans too! Great place, great decoration, super chill! Also did I mention they have $100 GCs for $80!

This is our new go-to Chinese comfort food restaurant. We drive about half an hour to enjoy their porridge. The fish jok is the best I've had since living in the bay area. The noodles here are cooked to perfection with wok flavor. Their chicken wings are juicy and piping hot when they come out. Highly recommend it for a truly satisfying meal.

We don't come to the Sac area much, but for very good Chinese food, this is one of the best we've had. Been a couple times. Doesn't disappoint.

I've continued to see people saying great things about Taste of Original on Yelp and on social media. I stopped in to order takeout while between meetings in the area. It was easy to find and there is plenty of parking in the parking lot where the restaurant is.I walked in and was immediately greeted. I let them know I wanted to place an order for takeout and got Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup ($11.95), a Pork Noodle Roll ($7.95), and a Beef Noodle Roll ($7.95). They let me know it would be about ten minutes and I sat at the benches at the front of the restaurant.While I was there many diners were enjoying their meals and coming in and out of the restaurant. It was open, bright and clean with plenty of seats available. It seems like it's mostly four top tables.My food came out and I was able to take it home after my meetings to enjoy. I loved that they packed the broth separate from the noodles and veggies for the wonton soup, this kept the noodles from getting soggy. The broth was light and flavorful and the wontons were very tasty.Rice rolls are a favorite dish for me and these were delicious. The noodles were folded around the meat nicely, creating layers of noodle and meat in each bite. The sauce that came with it paired perfectly as well. I'll be back for more of these for sure.I would love to dine in next time, but it's a solid choice for takeout as well. They also have a lot more items on their menu that I would love to try in the future.

Wanted a homestyle Cantonese breakfast to start the drizzly Christmas Eve day and this hit the spot. The waitresses are all so nice and the food was delicious! Definitely got busy around noon, so it was nice that we got there earlier.
