The food was fantastic and the service polite and kind. This was our first time and we will be back!There were three of us so we ordered a few appetizers, sides and each got a main dish - a little too much food but I'm not going to complain about that since one of us had only a limited exposure to Indian cuisine and we wanted them to have a good experience. We started with Taj Mahal Beer (delicious Indian Lager)Veg Samosa, Aloo Tikki ChaatSoooo goooodfor mains: Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Goat Vindaloowith sides of Vegetable Biryani, Garlic Naan, and Cucumber raita. everything is served in it's own dish, bowl or pot and everyone has their own plate. The presentation was superb. The portions are all generous and since we are a family we went family style and everyone got some of everything. (I highly recommend this way)I like spicy but since this was our first time here we went with Medium spice and it was just enough. Thank you Taj Grill for a great experience.

The service here was amazing, they are polite and kind and quick to refill your cup with ice water. We tried a couple of dishes but honestly the stand out was the garlic naan. I'll have to come back some time to try the lunch thali. The restaurant is clean and nice, not too busy and sort of tucked away on the edge of Folsom. Overall it was nice, I definitely want to try more things.

I'm disappointed to say that after being a loyal customer of Taj Grill since they first opened, they've lost me as a customer. About a month ago, I asked about catering a party for 15-18 people. At the time, the man at the restaurant made it seem like it was no big deal and suggested I check back closer to the event. Since it was a busy time, I understood and decided to come back at a less hectic time.Two weeks before my event, I returned on a quiet Tuesday at lunch to ask about the catering details. Unfortunately, the same person seemed annoyed and again treated it as if it wasn't important. I've never ordered catering from a restaurant before (only from corporate places for larger events), so I started asking basic questions like, "What do you need from me to get started?" and "How much lead time do you need?" His frustration became more apparent, and all he said was to write down my name and number and "someone will get back to you."Now, a week before my party, I still haven't received a call back. I've had to take my business elsewhere. I love the food at Taj Grill, and I really wanted to support them, but this experience has completely turned me off. I was one of their first customers and gave them one of their earliest 5-star reviews, but sadly, they've lost me as a customer because of this poor service.

Food is always great! I discovered this place less than a month ago and I'm already a regular. The service is always prompt and polite and the vibe is very peaceful for dining experience. I've ordered to-go as well, they have great packaging to make sure you have no spills. Punjabi Lemon Chicken is my favorite. I've also enjoyed the Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken!

Wow, very impressed. We've been trying to find a new go to Indian place and I think we found it. Ordered the Methi Malai Paneer, Aloo Chhole, Lamb Biryani, Cilantro naan, and Raita. Fresh ingredients and refined authentic flavors. Their medium spice level brings the heat in a good way. It was a pickup order and service wise everything was friendly and on time. We'll be back.

I did really enjoy the food from this place and the service was excellent, considering it was takeout. The portions were on the large side and they did include a free dessert, which was appreciated. It just pained me to pay over $80 for the exact same thing I can get from the other two Indian restaurants I frequent in Orangevale and Folsom for close to half the price. Perhaps if I had dined in it may have felt more worth it, but as it was I couldn't really justify the high price.I've gotten a lot of Indian takeout over the years and I've never had to pay for every single item individually - including rice. That was strange. Maybe I'm just not the target clientele.

Extremely over priced for the portion size. $30+ for one meal. I mean I'd understand if it was a high-end restaurant with great service...but it was simply not that. You are right next to a subway and veterinarian hospital. I'd recommend the cheaper options in Orangevale. Clay Oven - same quality, cheaper price.Edit: It's not really the quality of food that's the issue, it's the major overpricing of the product. If you consider this fine dining you are mistaken. You can't expect to receive the title of "fine establishment" from a few fancy tables and nice wallpaper. If I'm paying anywhere near that much I expect a restaurant that is nice and clean with decent service from the staff. Taj Grill Indian Cuisine offers loud music and a TV playing Indian music videos that isn't even the same music played across the restaurant. I apologize if you think my review is misleading, yelp is a place to share our opinions and experiences, and I will not be bullied into deleting any of my reviews. Approach Taj Grill Indian Cuisine with caution-- decent food & terrible service.
