Proving you can never judge a book by its cover, T Kee Seafood Restaurant represents what can happen when owners put a little effort into the interior of their restaurant, it shows customers that they are still committed to serving up quality Cantonese cuisine that they had always been known for. Located on the corner of Fruitridge Road and Freeport Boulevard near the South Land Park neighborhood in Sacramento in an innocuous strip mall that has seen better days, T Kee Seafood Restaurant represents old-school comfort Chinese food that has been served for generations in the gold rush capital city of California. Neighbors have no doubt been going here for generations and what brought this outsider here were local relatives that wanted to treat us to a grand meal in Sacramento and one of the best they have enjoyed was served at T Kee Seafood Restaurant. The fact that this place has existed here for so many years without me even knowing about it should be considered a minor miracle as they are well known for serving large family-style portions of food. With no fewer than four different multi-course large party menus to choose from, our relatives knew that T Kee Seafood Restaurant was just the place for us to dine and enjoy two tables worth of food, as we had a lot of people in our party this evening. The regular menu at T Kee Seafood Restaurant has sections including Soup, House Curry in a Clay Pot, House Specialities, Appetizers, House Special BBQ Dishes, Seafood, Chicken, Pork, Hot Iron Plate, Clay Pots, Beef, Fresh Veggies and Tofu, Hong Kong Pan Fried Noodles, Chinese Style Fried Rice/ Rice Plates, Porridge/ Congee, and Special Rice in Casserole. Of course, we came for the pre-fix menus for large parties and T Kee Seafood Restaurants four large party menus had enough small alterations that made us seriously consider any one of them for our two tables of ten people. We decided to order their Menu D which was sold at $488 for ten people per table. This menu contained their Chef's Choice Assorted BBQ Platter, Stir Fry Coral Clams Scallops w/ Veggie, Honey Walnut Prawns, Chef's Choice Four delights Soup, House Hand Shredded Chicken, House Roasted Duck, Whole Abalone with Veggies, Sautéed Twin Lobsters w/ Supreme Broth, Steamed Live Fish, Ham and Dried Scallops Fried Rice, and Special Desserts. Our meal would be served over the course of an hour and a half, and among the highlights were their first plate Chef's Choice Assorted BBQ Platter, which featured so much food that it easily could have been a dish that served a smaller table all on its own with the roasted pork, empress chicken, squid, and barbecue pork. Another highlight was their House Hand Shredded Chicken, which thanks to the abundance of Chinese parsley and sesame seeds along with the vinaigrette dressing made for the most unexpected dish that I have enjoyed in some time. Both the fish and lobster dishes were serviceable dishes as some of the best seafood, especially fish can come from the delta and riverways of California's Central Valley, and expectations are high. Our total bill was $887.40, which was before gratuity was added in, and this covered the cost of two tables of about twenty people, which is actually on the more reasonable side considering how much the cost of dining out is currently. Would I return to T Kee Seafood Restaurant in the future? The answer is yes because sometimes you need comfort Cantonese dishes and at T Kee Seafood Restaurant they are serving a wide variety of them sold at reasonable prices and for that they have earned my support.

This restaurant may have gone through different ownership in the last 5+ years. I am not sure when this happened but there are definitely some positive changes.First of all, they have a complimentary mango/orange juice in an ice blend which is pretty delicious! I don't recall this drink last time I've been here, so I am guessing it's been awhile. When I arrived on weekend for dinner around 5pm, there were plenty of seating. Surprisingly, it became very busy as it approached 6PM. The tables filled up. The service is mediocre at best. We had to ask several times for white rice until it finally came out. Our other dishes came out but still no rice. We enjoyed the deep fried flounder. It is pretty good. The house special house fun was okay, could've been better though. I like the clay pot dishes, they were pretty good. Parking lot can be small and tight. There's also parking on the residential area if it fills up too much.

Came around 5:30 ish and it was PACKED, we got a table tho. Parking is also very limited especially during peak hours. We did come during chinese new year but i heard its normally pretty busy. They give a container of mango juice which was nice. When we ordered they told us we had to wait 30 minutes... we ended up waiting 50-1 hour.We ordered: - walnut shrimp : NEVER came out so we cancelled it lol- rice casserole w eel: expensive but good, jus like fried rice pretty much- garlic pea sprout: pretty good for veggie lol- honey garlic ribs: gave us the WRONG thing, got peking ribs which were soggy and meh- wet beef chow fun: kinda bland, could use more flavor - house fried rice: BLAND so bland lol, shouldnt have ordered this but we didnt know the rice casserole was like that- fish tofu clay pot: not bad but veryyyyy small not worth it imoOverall this place isnt bad. Wanted to try here again bc i havent been in yearssss. Prob wouldnt come back again because do not want to wait that long ever for food to come out. No service but thats how chinese restaurants are so its fine. Prices arent too bad tbh, jus the house specials are kinda expensive.

This is my first time dine in here. It is famous for the yellow eel over rice in Casserole. We ordered a small one and it's enough for four people. And it was great! It has enough flavor and meat! I think its better than a lot of places in SF. The clams are standard. The deep fried squab was ok. Not worth it and its around $24 for a small one. The pork rib was ok. Overall ill still come again for its rice! Also, they serve free mango juice and its refillable which is nice of them.

One of my favorites for Chinese food for sure. It's a great place to bring your family for dine in Cantonese. Prices are decent and the portions are big. If you dine in for dinner, they give you hot tea and orange juice! It's my favorite part of the meal! My favorites are salt and pepper squid, salt and pepper tofu, crab and fish maw soup, scallop with do sauce, ribeye with mushroom. There's a variety of dishes to choose from.Restaurant has really improved in cleanliness. I like the new upholstery for the chairs.

We celebrated Chinese New Year with my family here. We went on February 2, 2025 at 11:30am. Gung Hay Fat Choy. We were a party of 10. The parking lot is just the right size. We all found parking. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. The staff was very pleasant. I was surprised the place wasn't packed. I expected it overflowing with people, being on a Sunday and during Chinese New Year. It is not a dim sum restaurant, so maybe that is why it wasn't packed. We were given mango juice upon arriving and the standard pot of tea. We ordered off of the banquet menu and got a array of seafood. We started off with crab soup. It was really good. My cousin had 2 bowls. We had fried lobster. I wouldn't get it again as it was hard to get it out of the shell. We had prawns. I didn't eat any because it still had it's legs attached. It's just not my thing. We had a whole fried fish. My cousin deboned it so it was easy to scoop out. That was a treat. Usually we just work around the bones and don't get all the meat. There was shrimp fried rice. That was really good. It also made good left overs. There was a traditional tofu and noodle dish that everyone loved. They ended with mango buns. Those were delicious. I would return just for them. Overall it was a good spread. I highly recommend this place for a larger group/banquet. By the time we left the tables had filled up. We just arrived early.

Authentic Cantonese food with straightforward service--just what you'd expect. The clay pot rice is a highlight. Ask them to add water at the end to turn the crispy rice and meat into a simple, flavorful soup. The mango juice at the beginning was super random, but I'm not complaining. All the dishes we tried tasted good and was reminded me of eating at home, which is a compliment. Absolutely no idea how to say any of the dishes we ordered in English, but they were all great. If you're unfamiliar with authentic Cantonese cuisine, I don't know what to say except just look around and point to something somebody has on another table. Don't waste precious table space with Americanized options. The restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. TARDIS magic. Definitely worth a visit for a solid Cantonese meal.

If you can look past the algae ridden fish tank, cleaning products on counters, & a dirty Men's bathroom ( we did not use the Ladies) then come here for solid Cantonese food.We ordered vegetable, noodle, roast pork, and baked squab dishes. All of them were very good and large servings. The only complaint on the noodle dish - chow fun- is the quality of the noodle used. It could be a rare occurrence but the rice noodles were a bit broken up and not "toothsome."There was a table of ten people who ordered banquet style food and it looked delicious.
