Sutterville Preschool

This Preschool has been amazing for our family. We have three children and they have all attended. It is engaging, tons of learning and most importantly lots of friendly play. We have always been thankful getting to participate at the school one day a week where both my wife and I get to hop in and enjoy time with our kiddos at this young age.

I love this school so much! It's been amazing to have my son there and I look forward to when my youngest can attend. I think this experience has been extra special.

2 years ago we paid to be on the wait list and they have never reached out to us yet they keep advertising that they are enrolling yet here we are still waiting.... the fact that they don't honor the spot of the people on the wait list is super shady to me. Pretty much they ask you to pay to be on the wait list just to steal your money. The lack of transparency tells me that they are a corrupt place that just wants to take the money from desperate parents looking for a school.

My children could not have had a better introduction into education than Sutterville Preschool. It has been an amazing four years. It all starts with the teachers! Sounds cliché, but they genuinely care for the kids. They are so patient, creative and make learning fun. The kids are immersed in song, art, storytelling, physical activity... the list goes on. My kids grew so much during their time. In addition to the teachers what sets this school apart from others is the families. I could not believe how supportive and fun all the families are. My kids favorite event is Sutterville Preschool Night at Funderland. All the families take over Funderland after close. It is a blast. We plan to continue attending each year!The school is extremely flexible for parents too. They accommodate all situations. You can choose to be a participating parent, who volunteers in the classroom 2.5 hours per week or, because I work full time, I have a non-participating spot. Even though I can't help out in the class I am involved in other ways. Your child's excitement, the art they bring home, the class parties will suck you into participating in whatever way your schedule will allow. Go tour. Once you meet the teachers and families, see the school, especially the outdoor play area, you won't look any further.

Both of my kids went here and it is a magical place. The kindest teachers, creative and healthy snacks brought in by parents, lots of singing/reading/crafts, a great backyard play area... Everything that preschool should be! It is primarily a parent participation school, so most parents volunteer one day a week. I loved getting to know the teachers and school friends. Get on the waitlist ASAP as space is always limited.

There's is SO MUCH to love about Sutterville Preschool. They have the kindest, gentlest, and most fun teachers around, the most incredible (and HUGE) outside play area, the loving community of committed parents, many,many opportunities for my kids to learn through play and social situations. It's true that the waitlist can be long, but definitely worth putting your kiddos on. I've been a participating parent here at our co-op school with both my kids for the last 3 years. A wise friend told me when I started looking for preschools that if there's an opening at Suttervile, TAKE IT, it'll get you foot in the door. I took her advice and I am so glad I did. It's so funny because I never thought to leave a review because the school really speaks for itself and by the many word of mouth recommendations from those who've experienced our preschool. Tours are offered monthly so it's worth a trip to check it out for yourself.

Both my daughters have attended Sutterville Preschool and we cannot say enough about it!! This cooperative preschool is unlike any other preschool we toured when looking for a good fit for my oldest daughter. It truly is a beautiful place, the children are loved and cared for and the dynamic of being a co-op is fantastic. My youngest is now in her second (and last) year at Sutterville, and we will miss it more than I can say. It has given both my girls such a positive start and I am confident it will (and has) played a role in their school success going forward.

I'm giving this preschool 2 stars because I put a deposit for a waiting list....when my son was 9 months old he will be 3 years old in MAY so plenty of time to be on a SO CALLED waiting list. My husband was emailing back and fourth and was told that all they had was a afternoon time from 12:30-3:30 which wouldn't work for us with our schedule and my son still takes naps and I'm sure parents can relate. They said to take it just to get our foot in the door!!!! This preschool looks nice when we came to see it.... but it's just like any other preschool. Not sure what all the hype is about When we asked asked where on the waiting list we were they didn't give us a Straight answer. So wondering what's the point of the deposit makes no sense.

I am so happy we found this preschool! The teachers are loving, the atmosphere is friendly and fun, and it's great to be able to participate in the classroom or not (your choice). I will be using this preschool for all 3 of my kids.

Sutterville Preschool has been a wonderful first learning environment for both of our kids. The teachers, facility (the backyard!), and community are top-notch, and the play-heavy environment was just what we were looking for. We were a non-participating family with our oldest, and a participating family with our youngest, and the ability to choose the option that best suits your family at that particular time was much appreciated. I recommend it to anyone looking for a local, cooperative style preschool with half-day classes.
