Sutter's Landing Park is located in the "New Era Park" neighborhood of Sacramento, California. The park is a huge 26 acres and part of the City of Sacramento Parks & Recreation . Surprisingly this was my first visit to this park after living here in Sacramento for the past 60 years.Sutter's Landing Park is hidden behind a large hill adjacent to the Sacramento River. But, once you find the park you'll be amazed at the sheer enormity of the park! For those that enjoy shooting a little hoop, the park has one full basketball court as well as a half court. Other features include: a dog park, an huge indoor skate park, 3 bocce ball courts with shade canopy, walking/biking trail along the Sacramento River, a huge parking structure, and river access. The park is not for small children! With the Sacramento River being so close, safety is a major concern ! Great dog park ! Huge Skate Park! Basketball Courts ! Bocce Ball Courts! Walking/biking Trails ! River Access ! So if you happen to be in the area, " Come On By " Enjoy !

They separate the parks into big dogs and small dogs. There is so much space for my dog to run and enough space where your dog can be alone even if it's packed. My dog is pretty shy, so he likes to walk next to me. People: I have come here about 5 times and I've always been able to spark up a conversation. The people here are friendly and they have the same compassion and love for dogs as I do. I have to admit, some people don't pick up after their dog, but it's like that everywhere. Parking: There's always parking, even when it's busy. There's a parking lot specifically for the dog park, which is nice. There's a fountain so your dog can drink water and plenty of chairs and benches to sit on while you watch your dog play. Overall will come here again and again. :)

Nice park! Nice courts to run full court! Just super dry and hot out there in summer. There is no shade or trees nearby.

Its ok. Went to play some Bocce, but thr courts have no sand, just concrete. Ive called the city to see if they would put a layer of sand or something. That was about 3-4 months ago now, still nothing.

To start, there was ample parking which is a huge plus! The park had a dog park, which was very large and had lots of chairs, but didn't have any grass (hard to maintain I know, but also a bummer there was any). There are basketball courts, bocce ball courts, a skate park (so cool!), and a great paved path. There's river access from the paved path. There were lots of people and dogs hanging out and our pup had a great time! We'll be going back.

Still being built, not the nicest trail. Saw a homeless camp across the river. Definitely a city trail.
