One thing I keep in mind when reviewing is the price point. Is this the best sushi in town? No, for twice the price you can get something much better. Better ingredients, better presentation.. but here's the thing: this isn't high end sushi. This is affordable sushi.Keeping the price point and expectations in mind, this is excellent value! I expected smaller portions and haphazardly put together presentation. I was pleasantly surprised with American-sized portions and decent food - just like my late Japanese auntie used to make!It's no Michelin star restaurant, but it doesn't claim to be. The ambiance is very "visiting family," the music is a comfortable volume to still be able to have conversations. The service is attentive without being overbearing, and all of the food is a great value.I have zero complaints and will absolutely be returning.

I really wanted to like this place. As a new resident of Elk Grove, I find pride in supporting local small businesses. They caught my attention with their buy 2 rolls and get 1 free deal. Honest review of the rolls:1) Rice was too vinegary.2) The sashimi slices on top were paper-thin...like wtf.3) Overall taste and presentation was subpar and reminds me of gas station or supermarket sushi (yes I've tried them).4) If you get a roll with tempura inside - the tempura tastes a day (or two) old.With so many better sushi options in the area, I'd avoid this place.My wife and I call this place SushiOhNo now.

Buy 2 get 1 free on rolls special Monday-Thursday all day. I love it! Ordered for pick up. We got a wow roll, lion king and MVP roll. All were so fresh and so tasty. I have to come back here and do the AYCE option with the family soon!

We wanted sushi on the cheap thus tonight we chose Sushimono. There were plenty of appetizers, sashimi, and sushi rolls to choose from the AYCE menu. The service was prompt and very friendly. The entire staff, including the chef, would check on our needs and desires. The restaurant has been at this location for many years. It is roomy with many tables and chairs. The interior is showing some wear and tear. You will not leave hungry.

Tried the AYCE option here after seeing it advertised on IG. They have 2 tiers for AYCE the difference is a few more selections for $5 more. We went with the first tier option that was $29.99. We were greeted upon entering and asked if we were doing AYCE or regular menu. And we were instructed to pick any table. The restaurant itself is pretty quiet and very dark. Our table and dishes were sticky and they only had 2 plate settings so we had to ask for another after our appetizers came out.Sashimi quality was pretty good. The salmon was really fresh. Only complaint is the cuts of sashimi got progressively smaller and thinner after each round of ordering. Some of the cilantro garnish/ micro greens were a bit brown/wilting and they would've been better off just without it.. The sushi rolls are full sized so be weary of ordering a lot since they are very filling. Pretty good quality rolls with fair ratios of fish. Only complaint is the spicy one was too drowned in sauce for my liking. Hand rolls and nigiri have way too much rice and very thin cuts of fish, wouldn't recommend those. Service was pretty good. There were only 2 people working the front but both were kind and not too slow. When the bill came they ended up charging for one of the rolls that is included in the AYCE list, we had them remove it but be sure to check they don't charge extra. Overall a pretty decent sushi spot. AYCE option is definitely worth it if you stick to sashimi and a few rolls.

Grabbed three rolls (oh no, fire fire, and spicy monster--phone order) to go, to eat while charging at an electric charger not too far from the place. Was pretty good! They made the rolls pretty quick (was a weeknight). Would come back again!

Decided to try the AYCE sushi and it was okay . As the previous reviews have stated that the tables are sticky and the bathroom is extremely filthy . Sushi was okay . Service was good . I will not recommend or visit again.

Terrific food & friendly service. Their bento box options are fantastic & very tasty. This is a good stop for some tasty Japanese cuisine.

Food never disappoints here! The service is great as they are always working hard and this is always my go to place to order their sushi!

It is my go to when I want sushi, it doesn't matter if I have to drive 30 minutes to get there. Service is great, one of the host is very nice every time I go, definitely need to get her name next time for a shoutout. ambiance is welcoming and calming which is great.
