Rolls are huge and affordably priced. Overall pretty delicious. The music was way too loud for conversation last time I visited hut the time for that it was fine...The servers are always amazing and go above and beyond. Was made in a timely matter and fresh. Large menu with a variety of options. For the price to quantity ratio its spot on. Great place.

One of my favorite spots in my college years. Delicious food. Very affordable. Nearby. Stopped by since I was craving a dynamite roll. Food - dynamite was good as always. Love the light crunch. Crunch monkey was okay. The -2 is due to the service. When I first arrived it was sorta full. But then as I waited then sat down. And took time to read the menu. The restaurant was only half full. The server completely disappeared after giving me water and asking if I needed time. Was like I was forgotten. Another staff came by and noticed me trying to wave. The staff took my order. Server delivered food and then disappeared again. Never came back to refill water or check in. I did eventually flag down the server and say I was ready for the check. They took my card first. And then brought the check with my card. This was odd. Typically they bring the check. Then collect my card. Food was good. Service was just bizarre.

Horrible dining experience!! Food looked great but was served cold. Sushi was just ok.We had reservations for 7:30, table for 12. We ordered about 7:45 or so but nothing even started coming out until after 9:00! No salads, no soups, no appetizers and barely any drinks! After we questioned the timing, our food finally started coming out about 9:30 and all of our bento box meals were literally refrigerator cold, the chicken and beef were so cold that they got tough & rubbery . I refused my meal and offered the waitress to check the temp on it(she refused), she returned my plate but didn't offer to heat it or replace it. The others kept their boxes opting to just go home and warm it up themselves. When we asked the waitress for "to go" boxes she responded by saying, "oh you're ready to leave already?"We asked for a manager who said he watched the videos and our food only took about 7 minutes to reach our table and that he was giving us a discount/break by not charging us for the 1 meal that we refused. Also he said even though we called during the week and they took our reservation for tonight, that didn't mean it was an "actual" reservation, since they don't take reservations from Thursday through Sundays, WHAT THE HECK!!

I don't always think of sushi hook when picking a sushi restaurant to visit -- their sushi is good, but it's not my absolute favorite. They have this one massive roll there though, it's called the "crack cocaine" (I know, crazy), but it's there and it's huge and my husband is a fan of that sushi roll because it's very unique.I do appreciate that their space is larger now (in comparison to years back when it was a smaller restaurant). I usually go when it's not very busy and the wait time is reasonable.

This wonderful restaurant was clean and open. Fantastic Food, service with a smile by servers Gabriella and Jenny.Ambiance with red lighting and lots of seating choices. This is truly a 5 Star Restaurant. Thank you Mr Kim for the Five Star quality of food, Five Star service and beautiful ambience. Best Plum Wine and chilled glass Ever!The dinner bento box, baked muscles, salmon teriyaki, jalapeño poppers and the sushi hook and Island rolls were all off the chart or should I say off the Hook! lolThis is my new favorite sushi place in Sac. Back to our favorite sushi restaurant. Never have anything negative to say about this place. If you love sushi, you have to try this place. The food is amazing, the size of the rolls are big, the prices are amazing. You are definitely getting worth your money. The staffs are great. We've always gotten our food fast . Definitely recommend their dinner bento box. You get meat of your choice, salad, miso soup, egg roll, California roll, rice, and sashimi (all for $21) . My favorite rolls are Mexican roll, highway roll, and big bang. As always, the restaurant is clean and they got new wall pictures which were not there the last time we dined . 10/10 recommend this place .

We got there before they open, the waitress was so kind and ask us to sit down first. The place is clean as they just started to open and saw them cleaning the tables. Food was great and big potion!

First time here. I'll definitely be coming back their sushi was big and fresh! Service was good a little bit slow because of how busy they were.

This place is awesome!! I come here all the time and have been for a few years. We got all the food in the picture and an appetizer for 39$. Crazy! This is the best and most affordable sushi in sac. And their rolls are huge (we ate half of the roll in the picture) We got the corn cheese, the bento box special which comes with yoyr choice of meat we got teriyaki chicken, and then 4 cali rolls, 3 spring rolls or pot stickers, small salad, and rice for 12$!!! Maybe 14 I forget lol. The service is great, inside fun with music and clean. Even when busy food comes out quickly fresh and good. Their rolls are so yummy, and food overall.

Sushi hook is located on Howe Ave. it is a casual sushi restaurant. I have visited this restaurant several times and have ordered out in the past, be prepared for a long wait. Online/phone orders are typically 60-90 minutes. I recently visited in person and I noticed that they had a new appetizer and drink menu. I ordered one of their cocktails and the drinks never came out. After 30 min wait, the appetizer came out with the food and still no cocktail. I was halfway done with my order so I got up and asked my server to cancel the order. Pro: *Sushi rolls are a good price and size. Worth the value. * The sushi is pretty decent and I always enjoy it. My favorite is the Golden Dragon and South Tahoe. Con's:* Service, server hardly came to check on us. *Long wait times after you place the order
