Sushi Cafe

New favorite sushi joint alert! My fiancée and I finally tried this place after passing by and saying to ourselves, "we need to go there!"Well I was nearby finishing up a workout at In Shape fitness and she was about to take her lunch break and floated the idea out there to meet. I said yes with the quickness! I got there early and got us a table and drinks. The lunch crowd was winding down as it was close to 2pm. The staff here were very accommodating and kept checking to see if I was ready to order. As soon as my fiancée said she was on her way I put in a couple appetizer orders. We started off with the stuffed mushrooms and mixed tempura. The tempura was absolutely delicious! The carrots were so crispy. The broccoli was on point and the one shrimp we got with the mix was phenomenal. Loved the entire plate.The stuffed mushrooms were huge, filled with snow crab and cream cheese and drizzled with a slight tangy sauce. We devoured all of them without regret lol.We decided to split a bento box with sesame chicken and tonkatsu as the proteins. Also ordered the King roll. The sesame chicken here was done so well. It was my favorite of all the things I ate. The tonkatsu was super crispy and the tonkatsu sauce was rich with flavor. Really enjoyed my experience at this local spot. It's in the shadow of Kru which is one of the top sushi spots in the Sacramento region. Parking here can be a bit of a drag but the food makes up for the hassle!

It's a small sushi restaurant downtown. We went here on a Saturday night they were pretty busy but we got seated right away and were given water and a little bowl of cucumber salad. This time it took a while before they got our orders and took a long time to get requested spoon for the misu soup but still understandable. Here's what we ordered : * Dinner Bento box it came with salad, misu soup and your choice of 2 items and chose mixed tempura and chicken Katsu serving was big the mixed tempura and katsu was crunchy and flavorful I like the sauce that came with it. *Creamy maguro roll it has raw tuna , cream cheese , crab meat and avocado the ratio of rice and seafood was good, it's creamy and fresh *Unagi Bowl the unagi sauce was good the eel has little bones still but not a biggie ration was off definitely more rice than the eel. We come here when we're downtown and craving for some sushi. Their food tastes good and the pricing is good as well.

I love Sushi Cafe. They're a hidden gem that makes me hesitant to even write this because I don't want to share. Their price ratio is insane. I heavily recommend their bentos, but you can't go wrong order anything. The bentos are generous and they don't skip on size for those $1.50 additions either. Their 8 piece nigiri is an amazing deal.Is this the highest quality sushi ever? No. But it is good and the price is a steal for the quality and sizes they provide. We go at least once every two weeks if we can.Everyone who works there is nice and welcoming and the place feels warm and well decorated with wall murals. Heavily recommend!!

I loved their cafe hand roll it was pink !! The cutest hand roll ever, and it was delicious. I recommend this place if you're in the area, it's like a whole in the wall sushi spot. They have an authentic Japanese vibe inside. The restaurant was pretty full when we went and I can see why!

This is my absolute favorite sushi restaurant in the area. Very fair pricing and great quality food. The service is very kind and attentive. This is a great place for a little date or a family meal. There is plenty of seating and you can watch the sushi being made right in front of you. The parking is a little rough sometimes, but you can park behind the restaurant.

This was my first visit here, my friend lives in the neighborhood otherwise I would have never found it. It's tucked into a nondescript strip mall behind OBO and Kru.It's a super cute and inviting place with fun artwork and a little sushi bar. We both had lunch bentos and wow, what a lot of food! They start with a little cucumber salad, then Miso soup and a huge box. You can pick two things from a very long list. I had hamachi sashimi and tempura. It came with salad, rice, and a couple small California roll pieces. The sashimi and the California rolls were great, as was the tempura. It was a great lunch and a good deal too. I would love to come back and have more sushi.

Bluefin tuna with pickled wasabi. You won't regret it. Definitely try the sashimi platter here!

Came here to grab a quick Nigiri and a roll. Waited 40 min before getting getting spicy edamame, which somehow had a burnt taste to it. An additional 10 min later, we got the rest of our order and they gave me masago instead of maguro and the gave me attitude when I said my order was wrong. Taking over 50 min for uncooked dishes was unacceptable. Won't be back to this location. I'll stick to the one on Freeport. Still haven't been disappointed with the service over there.

Was on our way to Kru when we saw this place was packed on a Wednesday night. Decided to go here instead and it did not disappoint! Our rolls were tasty, filling, and affordable. Service was quick even while the restaurant was packed. Will definitely be back!

I loved it here. Reasonable prices and delicious rolls. We got rolls with spicy tuna as the main ingredient and they did not disappoint. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance is great.
