Sushi Cafe

There were five of us came here for the happy hour and got seated pretty quick since there weren't many people. I haven't been here for awhile cause they have remodeled recently which is nice and better now. The staff is friendly and one of staff noticed that we speak Chinese so they communicated with us in Chinese which is nice. The food was pretty good and not overly salty. The beef short ribs and beef udon are delicious. The lettuce wrap was a bit spicy yet tasty. The pepperfin and truffle hamachi are tasty.

Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Sushi Cafe! It looks small and unassuming on the outside, but inside is very modern with a great ambiance. They've been around for 30+ years but looks like they've undergone a remodel sometime. My friend and I split their $40 mystery box and a $10 shrimp tempura appetizer and it was the perfect size for us to share as we weren't too hungry. I was amazed at how much I liked their tuna sashimi! Such a smooth and fresh texture. Also their tempura is DIVINE! The batter is perfectly light and crispy. Definitely one of the better tempuras I've had. Service was nice and friendly, however when they got busy they weren't able to drop off the check. No problem as we were able to walk to the front to pay. Don't let the outside fool you! Sushi Cafe is for sure worth a shot.

A local gem!FOOD: I always get the bento box with teriyaki chicken, shrimp tempura, gyoza, salad and rice. The teriyaki sauce is some of the best I have ever had. They perfectly grill the chicken. The portion sizes are large. I always finish full and happy after this meal. SERVICE: I always get take out. The staff is timely and professional. AMBIANCE: Everytime I get take out I think to myself I really should eat inside. The decor is modern and clean. Do not be fooled by the outside strip mall, this place is super cute! Overall, will I be back? Yes, this is one of my favorite places to eat in the city!

Had a very pleasant lunch here. A friend and I were very hungry and decided to eat here. Service was good. Order was taken. Sunomono and then miso soup were brought out quickly. Nice that two different items may be chosen from the bento entree list! I picked the lightly breaded pork and the daily nigiri. 3 pieces of nigiri. The amount of food was not skimpy, and delicious. Beautiful and delicious. Recommended.

Love this place ! Sushi is amazing it's a cute indoor and has a small area where u kinda feel outdoors! Went with my daughter and we had an amazing lunch ! First I got the oysters and she got the pepperfin! Def would get again! Then we ordered three rolls! Spd we love spicy tuna and shrimp tempura ,Freeport kinda the same except it has yummy eel on the top and MVR roll it has a surprise of lemon jalepino in the middle which we loved !!!! Service was great friendly and fast!

Haven't been here in years. They remodeled a bit. Came in to order to go. Disappointed in the XL sashimi mix. I expected so much more for about $40. I ordered SPD and Land Park roll both taste the same with too much sauce. Bento box was small but I think that might have been the best for me as you get a little salad and 2 pieces of California roll. I selected 2 choices of the salmon sushi. Staff were friendly. While I was waiting for my to go order there were a few customers picking up orders so think more people order to go here.

This is a nice small restaurant that my family love to support for special occasions. This restaurant is small and can get busy and filled up in a hurry especially during rush hour. They updated their interior about 2 years ago and it looks and feels a lot better. Parking is enough but very tight. Food is good. I usually get the bento boxes. I must say the portion did get smaller. Food came out about 15 minutes but during rush hour I must warn you it can take up anywhere from 40-60 mins for your food.

It had been at least 10 years since we had last frequented this restaurant. Why now? My SIL suggested it so off we went. It was different from back then like it was larger than beforehand inside but in a good way. Nevertheless we got there for a later dinner than our usual. I ordered their ramen which I thought was just okay bc it was a chilly night. My wife ordered the combination steak & chicken teriyaki bento with a shrimp tempura on the side. This totally hit the spot for her. My BIL had saba & katsu in his bento. He seemed satisfied since he finished his entire bento. Normally he has double sashimi but I guess he wanted a change. They do give you a cucumber salad dish to share but one isn't enough for four so we requested another. The service was just average. They seated us way in the back on the side. Maybe that's why since we were out of the way. Parking was very tight if you're familiar with this particular strip mall you know what I mean. We did return for some food to go and it was better the first time eating inside the restaurant. . Would we return probably with the fam but for ourselves we would stick with our local faves.

Meet up with my Aunty Gail for lunch at her favorite spot for lunch special. It was winnah!I ended up getting the chicken katsu and shrimp tempura two choice lunch special. Both were amazing. The chicken katsu had nice golden crust, moist, and solid. Shrimp tempura was same on point and delicious. The shrimp had nice light, flaky batter, and dipping sauce was bomb. All little sides perfect compliment and overall amazing lunch special!!
