We had a quick stop here... if we had planned it out better we could have packed a lunch for a picnic. Farmer Andrew told us where to go to find our favorite citrus fruits. We didn't stay very long but walked around about a quarter mile and bought a whole bag filled with Mandarin, blood oranges, and Cara Cara oranges - $1.90/ lb. The little store also has marmalade, honey and other already picked citrus like the grapefruits and Meyer lemons - these are off limits to visitors due to the BIG thorns. (Note - only a porta potty available.)Enjoy!

I love it here! I've been a few times, so my review will cover all three visits. They're only open from November through February or March. This is important to note.In November, they offer fruit picking! You make a reservation on their website which you can link to through this yelp page. And then they'll send you a confirmation. Show up on the day and time of your reservation. Someone is there to tell you the rules and the best method for picking. They'll also tell you the best area of trees to get the best yield. I recommend wearing gloves or mittens to protect your little paws from some aggressive twigs that are trying to keep human intruders from stealing their precious fruit. I got an entire bucket of fruit, and I think the price was very reasonable...somewhere in the $20-$30 range if I recall. Mandarins are the only fruit they allow you to pick yourself, but the other times I have visited, I purchased fruit from the store. They have all kinds of citrus fruit available in the store throughout the winter. The best way to know if they'll be open is to call them and listen to the outgoing message. They update that outgoing message regularly. The fruit is delicious, and I'm fairly certain it's organic. You really can't go wrong. Oh, and bring cash if you've got it. They prefer cash.

This was our first year mandarin picking and we had a great time! I am glad we went a little further north for organic mandarins. The orchard is situated the top of a hill/mountain that gently slopes downwards with great views. They offer pails and sheers so you can clip mandarins or children can twist the stems 4-5 times to get them off as well. The orchard is massive- so many trees full of fruit and no thorns. There are different varieties of mandarins and vast majority are seedless and all are easy to peel. Ended up leaving with 20lbs that was $28- also have pre-picked ones for $14 per bag at the store. Much easier to do then apple picking at apple hill so this will now be something we will do annually now. Recommend getting here early- probably 6-7 parking spaces and the rest is street parking. You do have to drive on a dirt path to the orchard so be careful to look for cars in the opposite directly- narrow so you have to pull over to let the other car pass. The road will be bumpy and your car may get dirty but it is an adventure which is rewarding.

So much fun again at this you pick fruit orchard. So many different varieties of Mandarin oranges to chose from. Oranges, lemons, grapefruit are also available but not ready yet. Family owned and operated, fresh juice available as well. Prices aren't too bad either. We went and picked about 16lbs today. It adds up quick. They give you a 5 gal bucket and a pair of clippers and send you on your way. A great family outing

We drove over an hour to get here and they don't have restrooms. It's just ruined the whole experience.

Great location, wide variety of superior (organic) citrus and numerous accouterments (honey, pickled veggies, etc.). That's just the beginning....meet the owner, Greg. Super cool laid back cat with long time local ties and a flair for entertaining (ie. Winter Solstice party every year). Couldn't recommend them any higher.

Neighbors went here and brought us back some amazing mandarin oranges. We had been planing on going to apple hill on the weekend but this seemed like a much better idea. No big crowds. Actually get to pick fruit. So glad that we did. Absolutely beautiful farm and area overlooking hills in Newcastle. Super friendly workers. Kids had a blast picking the fruit and exploring the farm. Came back with 25 pounds of oranges. We will definitely be back.
