Love this place, everything to go .you get a lot of bang for your buck. Food is fresh. Pretty good lunch menu

Thanks to my fellow Yelp Elites for posting a picture of the salt and pepper fried fish. I couldn't get it off my mind for a week. Since I didn't feel like cooking today, I stop at Sunrise Chinese Restaurant to get my fix! It's a take out only restaurant with chairs to sit while you wait for your order. There were a few people in front of me, and it took about 15-20 minutes. I noticed several people came in to pick-up their phone orders. I'll keep that in mind the next time if I'm in a rush. Salt and Pepper Fried FishA tad bit more dough than I like but very good. It wasn't overly salty, super crispy and holy - the portion is huge for $16.95. They also do S&P fried chicken and shrimp. House Chow MeinChow Mein with cabbage, beef, chicken and shrimp. Nothing worth raving about but good. General Tso's ChickenIt's similar to orange chicken without the tangy/citrus flavor. Again, big portion and savory sauce. I ate it with Trader Joe's frozen brown rice and it hit the spot! It reminded me the days I used to work at an office in Brooklyn. We used to order Chinese food every Friday as a group and I always get General Tso's Chicken lunch special. Solid Chinese food take-out spot. Bring cash if you can, because they charge a small fee for credit card.

I bookmarked the restaurant because I was interested in trying the fried salt & pepper fish after seeing a post of it. I called in my order and was told it'll take about 35 minutes, but it was ready for me when I arrived early. It was a big portion. The fish was crispy and flavorful. I would consider trying other items on the menu next time. It's pick up to go only with chairs inside for you to wait for your food.

Best salt and pepper fish...and great portion/value for the price ($16.75). Perfectly spiced (Chinese 5-spice) and salted, this crispy cod is my personal fave here. But they also are known for their beef ribs and more! To go only.

The food was made fresh to order. I experienced very professional and courteous service. The ambience is amazing. They are closed on Tuesdays.

I come here for salt and pepper fish. I've also tried their Hunan spicy chicken which I liked. Orange chicken is ok, could use more sauce. Bbq pork fried rice is good. Big servings, always have left overs for the next day.

Our family has been ordering takeout from here for years now and it has been great for a long time so I am not going to be harsh. But, some things are not acceptable. Twice, about a month apart, food was ordered from Sunrise. Chicken chow mein is always ordered because everyone loves it, especially the kids. First time, an adult is eating the chicken chow mein when they bite into something not edible and they found a piece of steel wool! Thinking ok everyone makes mistakes, don't make a big deal, we let it go. But then second time it happened, an adult eating chicken chow mein and they found they chewed on a piece of steel woolagain. This time it was obvious we need to stop ordering because if a kid were to eat the chow mein and get hurt from it we would not be so nice. If someone knows the owner please let them know they need to be more careful with how they are prepping their meats and/or cleaning their dishes around the food. Sadly, we are to scared to go now.

The food is always tasty.Service is always fast and the staff is always very friendly. They currently only offer deliver and Togo, no dine in.

1 year later Strictly 1 star for they practices still no hot sauce available dropped another $70. Once again pay attention to the fee when using card it's almost $3 prices are super high now look at the receipt from last year probably our last time eating here unfortunately P.s food is good this is not a about the food

"Way overpriced! Fortune Chinese offers combination plates with walnut shrimp for just $11.25, while Sunrise charges a ridiculous $17.25--and doesn't even include walnuts! How do they not serve walnuts with walnut shrimp after all these years? #PriceGouging #WalnutShrimp To make matters worse, they don't even have chili sauce or oil at a Chinese restaurant? Fortune Chinese not only has better prices but also offers the best customer service and pretty decent food. Definitely worth the extra drive! "
