My girlfriends and I decided to check out this farmer's market today, and we had a great time! It's just fun to walk around and see what different vendors have to offer. I am definitely going to be stopping by as many times as I can when I'm in the area.

This is my favorite farmers market ever. Produce and stands rotate occasionally but there are usually the same vendors there. Must try:- apple cider from that one apple stand on the south end of the market.- Upper Crust Bakery's pastries (I get myself out of bed on the weekends just to grab a croissant now)- Melon sprouts in your smoothie! (just got them today from one of the awesome sprout guys)I am a student who uses snap/ebt and most sellers will take it, some of them don't but will try to accommodate you still. They do a market match thing where if you withdraw $15 worth of your ebt balance, they'll give you an extra $15 to spend on produce, so if you're on the program, this can be cheaper (and healthier) than getting produce at the grocery store.

This is the former "under the freeway"Sunday market. Although large and with a wide variety of cheaper produce, this market isn't nearly as diverse or fun as the Saturday farmers market in mid town (minimal food vendors, no live entertainment and few non produce vendors). It's worth going for the cheap produce but that's about all you'll get here

So glad the Market hasn't relocated yet, absolutely love having one close to home. Large selection of vendors. Do a lap first and take note of prices, you can find some really great deals. Many farmer's discount items at closing time. You can buy herb, flower and veggie starts to grow your own. Fresh cut flowers, micro-greens, cheese, fresh meat, produce, nuts, local honey... the options are endless. Only downside is there are no ready-made food vendors (i.e. food truck). I definitely suggest eating a big meal before you come to shop.

Wonderful market. Just the right size to have all you need and be an efficient stop. Really nice vendors and great fresh items.

We have never actually gone to this farmers market under the freeway before so we stopped by yesterday. It's definitely the biggest one we have been to in the area, but I'd say about 90% of the vendors are for produce. I can't knock the Yelp rating for that, because that's what a true farmers market is, right?! But if you're looking for a market that also has local vendors for snacks, pastries, clothing, and handmade goods (think: Midtown Farmers Market), this is not the one for you. We ended up just trying a pastry from one of the few bakers there from Davis. I had a strawberry cream cheese croissant which was super yummy! I was also impressed that many of the vendors here were adjusting to current times and accepting payments via Venmo, making the entire transaction contactless! If all you are looking for is produce, then this market is perfect. There were a lot of people but we were able to find parking just one block away, and people are always coming and going so you're bound to get a pretty close parking spot.

The Sunday Farmer's Market (aka the one under the freeway) has been on my to-do list for Sacramento since, well, I don't even know when because it's been that long! It's a trek from my neck of the woods, but it's definitely worth it. It's almost entirely food-oriented, so this is not the market for crafts or bath & body products. You can, however, find houseplants and flowers at this one. This farmer's market is large and diverse in the produce, with a handful of specialty vendors that I don't see at my usual one. Parking is easy and free and the layout is organized well. I definitely see myself coming back on occasion to check out the different seasonal produce.

I can't believe the selection or should I say competition between the different vendors. I have been to different farmers markets all over the Bay, and I have to say that this particular farmer's market is quite huuuuuge, it's really nice! It's clean, spacious, organized and again, there is a lot of selection... how do you decide who you're going to buy from? Lol. Everything from fresh veggies, produce, fruits, plants, grass-fed beef, farm fresh eggs, fresh cut flowers....you name it, it's all here! Everything looked so delicious - I highly recommend making a grocery/shopping list because you will overbuy! Everyone was practicing social distancing, which is a plus. There's tons of parking surrounding the market, huge plus. It's a lively farmer's market that I would highly recommend to everyone. I can't wait to go back for my next visit, next Sunday! Buy local; Support local farmer's, cheers!

I didn't revisit my original review but I'll say I'm still a fan. Don't arrive late or you'll miss out. A lot of variety but generally speaking, don't expect to find everything on your produce or grocery list. For instance, I often find yellow or red onions, not always white.Although if you do hit them up late, you might get lucky and score a good deal at one or more booths. Perhaps you might score 2 or 3 melons for $5. That's awesome. Or bags of the same produce item for a bargain price. Just because they have surplus, not because they're rejects. Good deals!BTW, since we are in nonsense times...July 12, 2020 middle of nonsense covid19 fears, this market is open. We all have to play the game of wear a face mask while everyone was up in each other's grills. Idiocracy.
