This SCLH association is vastly over run by persons who (literally) inflict stress upon their fellow residents for a smidgen of an infraction. Too much power! Example : one of these persons came into my house during an open house when we were not at home. There were people in the house looking at it for sale, she pulled our real estate agent aside and started talking to her about compliance. This was outrageous behavior. The other issues involved were inconceivable. Example: paint, this person said our pet wasn't in conformity. To the best of my knowledge the paint is identical one repainted to the original paint palette when we purchased the house there was no need to repaint to a pallet change which is taken place probably four Times of the last 20 years. Other components of their issues were ridiculous. From pot being peace out front that coordinated with our Color scheme. When I received a letter written on 30 August I had already corrected the re-barking. And then they added some additional bullshit which I found. Personally I am not standing by and taking this any longer and this continued harassment Will cease as I'm not opposed to bringing a lawsuit against SCLH.

What a beautiful place throughout, the residents / guests overall are always wonderful. Been coming here for quite sometime for weddings, meetings, social gatherings etc. First and foremost, the restaurant is always top notch. Great service & A+ food, would be recommended for date nite or business brunch or dinner. I've noticed that many employees don't mind helping wether or not they work directly in a that dept. if not. A close family friend had a wedding here and for the most part they were very accommodating. -2 stars for a few isolated incidents with employees @ various moments but won't go into detail.

This beautiful neighborhood is a little piece of heaven for active seniors. It's a huge, expansive housing tract filled with a wide variety of home life selections for every lifestyle. The houses are average homes ranging from 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, to 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. There are pools, a spa, golf courses, club houses, and even a restaurant/banquet hall. A large variety of classes are offered from painting, pottery, crocheting, exercise, yoga, aerobics, dancing, and too many more to name. I always look forward to visiting my parents here, because of course, I love seeing my folks, but there is always something to see and do. The surrounding grounds are well maintained and a pleasant place to hang out. Unfortunately, there are some draw backs about owning a home in Sun City. The houses are pretty expensive and can be out of range for seniors who are on a fixed income. The home owners association dues are also an additional overly high expense. The rules and regulations are very strict and can seem petty or even ridiculous! All yards, front and back must be maintained by the owners, including the exterior painting! These things kind of bother me, because I feel sorry for my elderly parents having to always worry about keeping things maintained in a pristine manner, especially when they just can't get around like they used to. The property, my parent's purchased must have been a previous dumping ground when the surrounding homes were being built. There are literally a million rocks including buried building debris within their yard! Because of this, some plants, including trees, just refuse to survive. But the HOA sent them letters stating that a tree must be in their front yard. Well, it took us a whole day in the hot sun to dig a "hole" for our newly purchased tree. The moving of rocks were a grueling job to say the least! Now I hope and pray that this poor little tree takes hold, and makes it through!I, myself live in a senior complex, which is much smaller, but has nice amenities, safe, gated community, and our front yards are maintained by a landscape company. The roofs, the exterior painting, and gutters are all takened care of by our monthly dues. Yes, some of the CC&R's can still be annoying, but I have an easier time following them than what my parents are forced into doing!

I lived in a good many communities in California. In 2004 I moved to Sun City Lincoln Hills, now simply called Sun City Lincoln. I am writing this review as a sort of comparison. You see, I presently live in South Orange County, in Laguna Woods. My overall impression of Sun City Lincoln is one of awe, in view of what I gave up in coming south, to live in Laguna Woods. This review touches on four main areas: 1. Overall ongoing maintenance 2. Property valuation3. Cost of living in the community 4. Potential for growth/ improvement I've maintained contact with residents of Lincoln Hills in order to offer my thoughts with some basis in knowledge of what's transpired in the 14 years since I've lived in Lincoln Hills.1. There have been individuals who've reported drainage and cracking problems with homes in Lincoln Hills. Generally the builder has made an effort to correct these problems even after the warranty period. The city of Lincoln has done a fair to good job of maintenance of streets and drains, as well. Most individuals I've spoken with are pleased with the materials and workmanship of the homes.2. Unlike Laguna Woods, which has had ups and downs in home sale numbers and value, Lincoln Hills has seen steady upward increases. This is due to many factors, including the improvement of the surrounding community's shopping and educational opportunities. Laguna Woods is stagnant by comparison.3. While many factors contribute to cost of living, certainly the area of monthly community residential fees is important as a guide to affordability. Laguna Woods consistently strikes out here. Fees now average $777 per month and are due to rise again for 2023. Lincoln Hills has striven to keep monthly fees low each year.4. Lincoln is a dynamic, growing, vital community that has improved its road infrastructure and business opportunities each year. This has led to opportunities for jobs, entertainment, educational enhancement and social networking. Laguna Woods has seen little if any changes.

A beautiful community overall. The clubhouse and golf coarse are very nice. All the grounds are kept up well. The homes in the community are basic but all seem to be planned out well and serve their purpose as housing for an active senior community.

As a fellow senior I'm interested in possibly leaving San Francisco. Several acquaintances moved from the Bay Area to Lincoln Hills Sun City so I thought I'd check it out.In writing this I'm not your normal Senior although older than many of the residents there through God's grace I look, act and feel 15-20 years younger than I am. What I feared if I moved up there for lack of a better explanation was to be stuck with a bunch of old people. So I wanted to find out if I'd fit in up there. I have many friends locally with few in my age range but a few who are also seniors. I think living in a diverse community makes for a more interesting life. At the same time I am disgusted with what San Francisco has become with the influx of many soulless tech zombies which have ruined a once great city. What turned me off to Lincoln Hills was the attitude I encountered which felt something like we are special; along with being provincial... I made several inquiries to real estate agents and heads of a couple of clubs that are a part of the community. I got a cold shoulder from all of them...I ran into what I would characterize as a "Stepford Wife" description of the community all is well we are happy. I doubt the community replaces seniors with robots but with the attitude I'll never know. Being again single at an advanced age I tried to examine how a youthful single senior might fit in. Apparently the place has many more single women than men as men just don't live as long as women do. I'm not against being with an older woman, my ex is a very youthful 70 year old. But many women of my age or older would look like my late mother if we were paired rather than a normal couple...Based on the indifference to my inquiries I've decided Sun City is not for me. If you want to live in a community of clones who are hiding from reality where a game of golf or a club with many others of the same demographic is your world this may be the place for you. I'm also bothered by the excessive rules up there which are explained away as to preserve property values. I don't enjoy people acting out more than any other senior I'm too old for that but if they want to fine you $500 for walking out of your back yard into open space property to fetch your run away pet - frankly this is off of the wall.I'm left with the impression you need to follow the party line up there which is to be happy and think all is well until you rot away - but this is not for me... Should you decide to move there my best wishes you are happy...
