Suishin Sushi

Nice little cozy sushi restaurant came here with friends after paddle boarding. Service was good, I ordered a bento box and some oyster shooters. Food was good but not so much the drink. I had better oyster shooters so I am a little bias. Overall, would recommend if you like sushi and find yourself in the area.

Great location and wonderfully friendly staff. Unfortunately, not my favorite sushi for sashimi or nigiri. Their tuna tots had a really nice crispy rice texture but the tuna on top was underwhelming.

Went for lunch and ordered the Blue Ravine Roll. Flavor was good but it was a little too saucy for my liking. I'd come back to try other rolls though!

Came in on Monday night right at opening and we were 1 of 2 tables dining in. Our food was good; this is a decently priced spot for Folsom, and the sushi rice in my sake don was the best I've ever had! I'm not even into rice like that! Inside- small, charming interior with Japanese decor on the walls. Service left a lot to be desired; we needed utensils after dropping a chopstick and couldn't find anyone paying attention to help us. We weren't checked on after the food was dropped off so no water refills or more napkins (we needed both). It wasn't a bad experience but I'd be inclined to check out other sushi spots nearby.

I had lunch with my kid on Saturday noon after reading good reviews. There were only our table & one other table who dined in. We ordered shrimp tempura roll & lunch bento box (grilled mackerel & mixed tempura). Our food came out pretty quick.- shrimp tempura roll: good but the portion was small. The shrimp tempura was crispy but there was just a tiny strip of shrimp inside.- bento box with mackerel & mixed tempura: it came with a bowl of miso soup (tasted like store bought), salad (good but the sauce tasted like store bought), and rice. The mackerel was cooked perfectly but the meat was so thin. The mixed tempura was good and crispy.Overall, the portion was small regarding the price. Taste-wise, it was ok.

If you have high standards of sushi do not go here. First off, very dirty restaurant , smells like a bad fish tank. Sticky tables, overall dirty surroundings. No lights on. I would have left if I wasn't there with people who picked it.. food was mediocre, I've had better quality AYCE places and Safeway sushi. Fish was cold at least but no flavor, rolls were cut uneven, and it just overall was not good looking or tasty food. The plating was sloppy as well. No idea why this place has 4 stars on Yelp. This is my sign to just Stick with Mikuni's. This place should Not be open or allowed to operate tbh

Don't be deceived by it's tucked away location, the quality of sushi is much better than most AYCE.Its family run, offering great service and quality choices!With other AYCE places, the rolls can be pretty boring. But on this menu, there are so many different options to choose from you won't be able to try it all! I just wish they offered half size rolls so you can order more variety without having to stuff yourself with full size rolls.Highly recommend: veg head roll, big eye roll, best west roll and of course the baked mussels!Pro Tip: Don't over order or you will have to pay a fee for food waste.Cheers!

I always appreciate a well-priced bento box. I like that it's offered for both lunch and dinner. Your choice of 2 items from their list which comes with rice, salad, and miso soup. I ordered mixed tempura and California roll. Not the best I've ever had but I enjoyed my meal and thought I got what I paid for.

FLAVORS: I liked my orders. My partner however was really picky about their sushi rice? The consistency and flavor was not to his expectation? + mixed tempura+ saba sashimi+ titanic roll+/- off-menu hand rolls (good portions, rice was right volume, not right taste)- cherry blossom (too much rice, and still not right taste)

Staff is always super friendly and the sushi is good.I've been coming here weekly for years now and it hasn't disappointed me once.
