Studio 4 Hair & Nails

I purposely slept on this review for two nights as to not post out of sheer rage and disappointment. With that said I went in to get brows and lip waxed. Lady was sweet but very preoccupied with personal drama. This is ok with me, it is my lot in life to commiserate, provide a shoulder and a confidential ear. I wasn't even bothered waiting for her to hang up a personal call, she was sweet about it and more importantly I have been there and am easy about stuff like that. Part two, the waxing begins...Wax was too hot. Ouch. We discussed her drama at length and I think she was elsewhere as she attempted to pull the wax strip off WITH the grain!? I must have made a face because she looked surprised and asked "What happened? Did that hurt?" To which replied "oh, no, just used to the strip coming off in the other direction. Were you even able to pick anything up?" She nodded yes but it was clear she didn't when she reapplied wax to the same spot and yanked the strip off in the CORRECT direction. OUCH. I have been getting waxed for almost twenty years and I am all too familiar what the result will be when my skin feels a certain way. It was stinging, felt raw and it burned. I knew I would be red the next day and possibly worse. Last step was to use lotion to remove wax residue. She grabbed a cotton ball and I "think" she applied some of the lotion to it. The reason why I can't be certain is because it wasn't soothing at all, it was a dry cotton ball being rubbed repeatedly on my raw and sore skin. Now I am out of town on business, in front of thousands of people for a few days with scabs all over my face. No. No. Just no. If you're wondering why I didn't just give them 1 star, it was because she was genuinely nice. So was the other lady in the shop (possibly owner). They could possibly do great hair and nails even. I just wouldn't recommend them for wax. I don't normally go here but it was a convenience issue and boy did I learn my lesson.

So I needed a haircut and stopped in and was lucky to get a walk in appt. I have to say I am pretty particular about getting my hair cut.. Monique the owner cut my hair and did an amazing job and was super friendly.. I am planning on going here for hair cuts when I am in the area.. I highly recommend this place if you are able to get in..

Got my nails done by Monique and was very happy! This was my first time trying gel and I'm very impressed with how perfect it looks. What else can I say? I was taken back at my appointed time and the salon seems clean. I'm overall very satisfied and will be returning to Monique from now on.

Yesterday my hairstylist of six years cancelled on me..... Again. I seriously needed a haircut and am very picky. I decided to look on yelp for someone near my home. I called several places and no one could get me in same day, nor did they offer another time. Then I called Monique!When I called she was so pleasant and helpful. She told me to head her way right then and she would be happy to help me. The shop is cute, quiet and clean. Not to mention her sweet personality! We talked for a few minutes about what I needed to have etc and she took pictures of the back and sides of my hair so she could show me on the iPad what she thought would be best. I went with her ideas and couldn't be happier!!!!! Not only was this one of the best haircuts ever, but her prices are reasonable. I will be back!!!! Thanks, Monique! And your family is sweet too!

Horrible customer service ever! Never are ready for customers on time for appointments I Waited for a long time . They did my gel nails horribly , cut my cuticles and they bleed, and when they messed up on painting the nails they didn't want to re paint them ! Horrible service never coming there again ! They are just careless they just want money without giving a good service.

I get a consistently great hair cut every time, and we make each other laugh every time, too. It took a while for me to find someone to work with my type of hair. I love it, I got a wash, blow dry, and a flat iron. It has never felt so soft and bouncy before. I will certainly be back soon. Thanks Monique. See you soon.

Male HaircutOne would think it's easy finding a place that gives a decent male haircut. False. I have tried many different hair salons ranging from large chains to family businesses with little luck. STUDIO 4 is the best. I have never had such spectacular results and an overall great experience. Monique is one of the best when it comes to hair. She has years of experience and can tackle any customer's needs. Not only does she provide a great haircut, but she is extremely kind and fun to talk with. She genuinely cares about her customer. Not only did she make me feel comfortable and welcome, but she also gave me an excellent price! The haircut alone should have cost much more, but Monique gave me an incredible deal for the service provided. The price left room for a good tip! Males and FEMALES, if you're looking for a great place to go for a haircut, go visit Monique!My girlfriend gets her hair and nails done here. She absolutely loves it.
