How in the world have I not reviewed the Broadway Strapping location yet?My wife and I just made our annual pilgrimage for holiday shopping and white elephant (work) gifts and the store didn't disappoint!! We always find something quirky. Of course, Strapping offers very nice gifts. Candles. Pillows. Plush and pretty....But I feel like the main reason everyone shops here is a toss up....Is it for the witty, gag gifts??Or is it because the shop owner, Susan, is an absolute hoot and very approachable! She's definitely the 'face' of the store and I'm just disappointed that this year (2024) I didn't have her pose for a holiday selfie with me!Ahh, well. Tis the season. My girls and I adore this little shop! I like to get gifts for my out of town family from here and lots of my own items!

The quintessential place to buy fun, quirky, useful gifts for everyone in your life! This location has a ton of room and products. And it's not just gag gifts - we've gotten smaller furniture pieces and décor that we have loved! It's a must-stop whenever we have visitors in town, too.

The Broadway Strapping location is our favorite, each one is great but this one is in a great location in Oak Park with so many great businesses around it. There's also a good amount of parking in the area, though you'll need to walk at least a little bit, our spot is always at Broadway and 35th.They are dog friendly and we've brought ours in a couple times and the staff is so friendly. They even offered us treats for Oslo to enjoy, which he loved almost as much as the attention.They have a great variety of seasonal items as well as gifts, novelties, homegoods, funny and snarky things. We typically stop here when we're looking for gifts or if we're in the area with some extra time.Our latest visit was during this holiday season and we ended up picking up the cutest pickle jar ornament and some pickle candy canes. On previous visits we've bought candles, cheese boards, a bunch of local items like Sacramento coasters and magnets, stuffed animals, cards and more.The staff is always very friendly and you could spend a lot of time just browsing, but be warned, you're probably going to find a bunch of things you want to buy here.

Awesome place! Everything inside is super cute and on trend. Hipster vibes all the way. The owner introduced herself and she's super nice. Glad I finally got to meet her and check out her store. I'd say this is the perfect place to come to find pretty much anyone cool a gift. Like if you don't know what someone wants come here and you'll definitely find something. The store is bright and cheerful the kind of place that just feels good to hang out it and play with all the fun stuff.

Rad store. Great for birthdays and i always start my Christmas shopping here. The staff is fantastic! Great spot to stop in for that last min gift. They always have you covered! Great selection with out breaking the bank

Didn't realize I was near this store.Such a really cute shop..so much to look at..Here's where my dry sense of humor comes out.. and makes me laugh..Cute ramen notepad.. Unique items for those unique people..Prices tend to be higher, rest assured you probably won't find it any where else..

Interesting stuff, but kind of strange that nearly everything is made in China (but priced like it's made in America). I guess it's better than supporting old man Bezos? Uncertain; seems a bit disturbing when there's a plethora of local makers in the Sac area. I believe the Blue Diamond gift shop supports local makers more. Oh, and buyer beware: you can't return anything. Only exchange or gift card.

Let me just start off by saying, this place is one of my all time favorite stores to shop at. This is my go to for any type of gift that I need for birthdays or holidays. Their selection here is so amazing and not to toot my own horn, but I've gotten so many people on the Strapping band wagon (it's pretty dang easy because the stores are so great). Their products and variety is too awesome to not want to shop here. ~During the pandemic, I worked next door to their Broadway location and would go shop after I was off. They were always the sweetest people and we would have such great conversations. They even would give us (the neighbor employees) a discount on our purchases. Ever since then, I've been hooked lol. Recently, my wife and I were out at Target when I see a familiar face walk up and tell me that I have a beautiful baby. I immediately recognized them as the owners of Strapping and was so excited to let them know how much we absolutely love their stores and showed that my son was using a pacifier clip (shown in picture) we had bought from there, which they had recognized as well! It's truly amazing how much effort they put into their community. They did not have to go out of their way to come up and talk to us. They also did not have to give us a discount on our purchases just for being a neighboring business during a pandemic (which, let's be real- was really hard on small businesses). Their products are of great quality and not to mention they have a ton of LGBTQIA+ merchandise!They have such an amazing team of kind human beings that care about what they put out into their community. This is one of the best stores in Sacramento and I will forever support them.

This is one of the best stories in town. Susan the owner is amazing, fun and will help you out if you have any questions. I love this shop, highly recommend for everyone.
