Starfield Vineyards & Winery

I made a reservation on a Saturday morning and they were able to fit us in on the same day! The vineyards are pretty big and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The covered patio area is where our reservations were seated but I would have preferred to be in the lawn area. That's for walk-ins only. The space is so big, you probably don't need a reservation during the fall days. You can also walk through their property but they close it around sunset because they have animals that roam the property after dark. Scary! I enjoyed their tasting experience and it was affordable. I'd love to come back for a whole afternoon.

Worst experience I have ever had at a winery. Savanah was extremely rude from the minute we arrived. I had a friend on a knee scooter from surgery and needed to get her sat down before ordering and she said we couldn't sit at one of the tables. They were for reservations only. This was a MONDAY and only one table had guests. All other tables were open and no reservations. She said rules were rules and said we had to sit on the lawn area. It was freezing that day and not ideal for a scooter to be pushed across the wet lawn. literally no one was there. After i ask for a refund on a 3 person flight and I told her we would never return and I said I would be talking to her manager about not treating someone with a handicap properly, she allowed us a table but said we would have to move if anyone makes a reservation. She was such a little "B". I will be telling all my friends about our experience. SAVANAH should be fired!! Oh and btw it took her 20 minutes to get our wine flights. We proceeded to go to lava cap winery and had the best time. They brought in a table so we could sit inside where it was warm and my friends handicap was accommodated. We had wine and food. John was fantastic at lava cap. We bought several bottles and he got a $30 tip

I booked a reservation for a seated tasting for four on a Sunday, and overall, the experience started off well but ended as a disappointment. My group arrived early and enjoyed lunch before our reservation. Staff were friendly, greeted us with a glass of blanc de blanc, and made us feel welcomed. I had high hopes, especially with how delicious lunch was. We ordered the Thai peanut salad, porchetta banh mi, cheesy monkey bread, and four rosè Jell-O shots. The appetizer was small, and I'd recommend skipping in the future. As for the seated tasting, I was extremely let down by the lack of attentiveness from our server. I brought friends that had never been wine tasting before, and I hoped that the flight would be served all at once. Given that the pours were periodic, there was too much down time and our reservation felt like it was dragging on. I didn't feel confident that our server was knowledgeable and she did not share much about the wines that were being poured. She forgot which flights we had ordered and even charged my card twice, which she acknowledged as a mistake. The revenue is beautiful, but you can get a much better experience somewhere else.

We made a last minute reservation at Starfield on a lovely Saturday afternoon and had a great time. We were greeted right when we entered and were seated at a table on the grass. Our host was very knowledgeable and gave great tips for food pairings as we tasted. There was also food menu which we didn't order from, but likely will next time.There were several wines on the menu and they were having a sale, so our guy poured us a couple of extra tastes to see if there was anything we liked for purchase. He wasn't pushy and we were happy taste a few more.Starfield is a beautiful property. We enjoyed the wine and the service so much that we ended up joining the wine club and took home several bottles of wine. I'm looking forward to our next visit so we can walk some trails and have a tasting by the lake on their property.

Another new location we visited for the first time, during our last trip to Apple Hill.My girlfriend wanted to visit Starfield Vineyards & Winery on this trip, as she'd come to recently hear about it. After arriving we briefly looked around the inside area at the different wines, and then were taken to the patio area for wine tastings.Once in the back I noticed how nice the outside area was, especially at that time of year. It wasn't cold just yet, so in the late afternoon it was still enjoyable out while in a short sleeve. There were several people dinning, which we were told is preferable to do so by reservation; but not mandatory. It was explained it was better by reservation just in case you did a drop in and the were fully booked. I think I noticed some people say you could only buy reservation, so there might've been some confusion on their part.While at the wine area my girlfriend tried several samples of Starfields different wine selections. And ultimately chose two different whites to take home that day. During the tastings we were given Starfield membership brochure, to more the discounts one can get from being a member. If you're into wine it's definitely something to check out if interested.Overall: Friendly staff, great service, great wines, and beautiful outdoor area.

Pro: Nice wine, food is very good.Con: They are very strict and inflexible on their 6 person policy. We had a group of 6. Separately 2 friends had booked and they had put them in a different area. It was 100F+ that day so there was hardly anyone there. We politely asked if the 2 friends could join. They said no because it would overwhelm the server. I asked if once our friends had ordered and been served they could bring their food and drinks over to sit with us (so as not to cause the server more work). Again no.Not sure I would go back. Plenty of other places to go to with good food, wine and better hospitality.

Very cute ambiance, nice setting. My party and I went for their lunch. It's was so nice because the weather was nice and they have such a nice lookout. Their service was fast and efficient. While at lunch, you can not do any wine tastings. So be prepared to make another reservation if your interested in doing that. Their food was ok in our opinion. We felt like their mushroom appetizer was a one biter. Their Katsu was good, but also on the smaller side. All in all, this place was good. Nice when it's a nice day out.

Very beautiful views and well maintained scenery but had the worst experience with staff. My friend and I went to try some wine. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside instead of in the tasting room. We didn't have a reservation but staff said there was plenty of open tables. We walked up to place our order and waited well over 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. There was only one person currently ordering in front of us. By the time we did order we decided to get appetizer food with it as to not wait longer. Our food was ready within minutes. The guy asked if we'd gotten our wine yet so he could take our buzzer and we said no. So he asked this coworker currently pouring wine to which she rolled her eyes and said she'd get to it when she gets to it and walked inside. Will not return after that experience. There's plenty of other options in the area.

This is such a beautiful and private winery with beautiful views of their private lake. Great for date night or for relaxing.We did the star-field stunner wine tastings and paired that with the warm & creamy spinach dip. The service was absolutely amazing, they gave us the history and the tasting notes for each wine and what it will pair well with. We ended up getting the syrahs and this sweet wine called "Spirit of the Gods".
