I have had both of my children attend St. Michael's over the last 2 decades. I have witnessed the school getting stronger and stronger over the years, especially with the differentiated teaching. With small classes, traditional academics and extra's such as, Latin, Spanish, handwriting, grammar, music and cardio vascular training 4 days a week, this school is a stand apart in the Sacramento region. An independent, private, school in the Episcopal tradition is a mission based school. The core values are a daily reminder of helping the children find their "true north". Most importantly, I always felt my children were safe, supported and challenged in every way. In addition, both have thrived in High school and beyond with readiness, confidence, and great time management skills. I would high recommend this preschool through 8th grade school.

This is a great school! The staff is wonderful and the teachers are great! They teach the children to be great leaders and great people. I love the smaller classrooms and one on one attention the children get from the teachers. You can tell that the administrators and teachers really love being at this school and love their jobs. They really prepare the kids for high school and on. The ece program is the best around! I can't say enough nice things for the program. I can't wait until my youngest is old enough to attend.

As a parent that has had children at this school for 6 years now, my middle son starting in preschool and now my oldest daughter is in fifth grade, I can attest to how wonderful it is. St. Michael's is a mix of rigorous academics, balanced out with kind supportive teachers and administration that really care about your child and your family. It is a community of parents that care deeply about their child's education and well being. The focus is on teaching all of the necessary curriculum needed from a K-8 school but also compassion, responsibility, respect and leadership. They instill a confidence in the kids that help them to believe in themselves and their individual abilities. The focus of each grade is to prepare them for what's ahead so when they go off to high school they are successful conscientious people. I can't say enough great things about this school. I highly recommend taking a tour and checking it out for your preschooler through 8th grader.

I love this school! I highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a safe family Environment. The education is over and beyond of what my expectation was going into the school. The public speaking , confidence and everything that the school has taught my son has been amazing. The friendly staff They make you feel like family I showed up in my PJs which I would never do and felt completely comfortable just because I was in a hurry and I had to deliver something to class. I love the Close knit family's and Friends that we have built from the school.Love,Sabrina

I can only speak to the preschool program, but so far this has been a wonderful experience for our family. The classroom is clean and full of a variety of age appropriate toys that advance both gross and motor function. The activities make learning fun, and the wonderful staff have made sure that every day is a great day. They handle the inevitable conflicts between little kids with kindness, caring, and appropriate consequences so the kids learn to obey loving but firm limits. The byword is kindness. It's the peak of flu season right now, and the attention to hand hygiene is second to none here. And if someone does get sick or injured, there is a physician on staff that can handle pretty much anything. These things are not cheap-- this comes in at a price point on the higher end of the private school scale, but I appreciate the fact that the school is independent of any diocese (and that diocese agenda) and has been more than transparent about where that money goes: towards livable teachers salaries and a decent benefits package to retain the talent, non-sexy things like the lighting bill, and improvements to the facility. I like that my voice as a parent is heard and encouraged. The community here is welcoming and involved. And so far, this has made the experience worth it to us. We look forward to continuing with St Michael's as our children grow up!

We toured all the schools in the area starting when our oldest was 18-months-old. Once we started comparing those schools to what we had seen at St. Michael's, we knew we had found the right fit for our children and our family. St. Michael's has a phenomenal academic program (pre-school through 8th grade); an excellent teacher-student ratio; differentiated education philosophy; state-of-the-art classrooms (even the ECE room has a smart board) and gymnasium; a welcoming and well-stocked library; and a well-rounded curriculum that includes art, music, theater, P.E./interscholastic sports, Spanish and Latin, and robotics lab, to name a few. When you visit campus, you'll encounter tremendous faculty and staff, and poised, polite, well-spoken and civic-minded children who have public speaking skills and community-service values reinforced when attending chapel four days/week.There is strong parent participation on campus as well, with parents welcome to attend chapel, or volunteer at lunchtime, on field trips, during sports competitions, and at important campus events (such as the annual Fall Carnival, Grandparents' Day, and teacher-appreciation days, etc.). St. Michael's offers a true community that cares about your child's education and development.

Best school in all of Sacramento for pre k thru 8th. Not only academically but very importantly in fostering excellent character in children. Diverse and inclusive with leading edge use of technology in and outside the classroom. And teachers and staff who know every child and truly care about their safety, development, and growth. PE, music and art is a constant. And while traditionally more of an academically-focused school, the athletic program is burgeoning under new athletics leadership. Art and music also top notch. And academics are unparalleled. Both of our kids have gone here since 3 day pre K and we all could not be happier.
