This is my daughters freshman year at St. Francis. We are extremely disappointed. Although the teachers seem to care about their students, the administration clearly does not. They are not willing to do anything to help the emotional well-being of their students. Weather it's students suffering from racism or the mental health of the girls during this terrible year, they do nothing. They are obviously focused on profits, not the students. I've heard this was a good school once upon a time. Very sad!!

Soo I graduated from here..many moons ago. I hated the uniforms but now I really appreciate them since now I despise having to get up early to coordinate an outfit every morning. I don't remember what prompted me to attend this all girls-Catholic high school when I was not even Catholic myself. My sisters used to tease me that I was probably a lesbian. Hehe...Oh yea, my mom said the going to college rate was 98% so it might do me some good to be in that environment! Lots of fond memories and good people. Sometimes I miss high school --life was so simple and easy back then. I used to think not finding a homecoming date was my worst nightmare...haha....I drove by this school not too long ago and it has massively expanded! Anyway, good times...good times.....and send your kids here, if you can afford the massive tuition too. :P

My daughter thrived at this school. It is a little expensive, especially when you consider that our local public high school is considered a "good" school, but there are some things money can't buy. If you can scrape the money together, do it!

I graduated from SFHS back in 2005. I did not want to attend private school and initially was very upset with my parents for sending me here. Looking back, it was the best decision they've ever made for me. The teachers were wonderful. While it is a Catholic school, and theology is part of the curriculum, it is not the only focus here. If your daughter wants to be challenged academically, be heavily involved in sports, or be involved in the arts; all of those options are available here, and they have wonderful programs supporting them. It is pricey, but even if it is out of your income range, you should still make a visit and check out the financial aid options!

This is an absolutely amazing all female high school. Girls can learn in an environment where they can be themselves. This school has a rigorous curriculum and really prepares them for higher education. I am pleased to have my daughter attending this school.

since i graduated eons ago, they've jacked up the tuition by thousands (like that grammar? thought you would...) if you have the $$$ definitely send your daughter and give her an outstanding education, friendships she'll have forever, and values she'll hopefully take with her throughout life.the fundraisers are incredible productions, especially Revelry, the fine arts gala showcases amazing hidden talent, and the sports teams honor future star athletes.of course... these are all supressed catholic school girls so any bad things learned in those 4 years are not representative of the school, just said good lil bad girls...

One thing I don't understand about this school is that they require all the young gals to wear a mini skirt as their uniform. What's up with that? What kind of religion are they believe in that make it appropriate? As a parent, I am so object to that kind of uniform. They are suppose wear long pants in the winter and lengthy shorts in the summer if they choose to.

My daughter went to the school and graduated in May of this year. Absolutely a top-notch experience and to hard to imagine a better education. Starting college now at the University of Nevada at Reno, she is well prepared for college. In fact she reports that compared to an awful lot of other freshmen into her dormitory and classes, the study traits and perseverance she learned at St. Francis gives her a gigantic leg up over many of these other students. One of the things I know I was extremely happy with is the personal growth I saw in my daughter. From a shy and reserved teenager to a socially engaging young woman all in the span of time of her high school years. And St. Francis certainly gets credit for some of this. Without question I would do it the same way in terms of high school choice.

Unlike other private schools for girls, the emphasis is not just on liberal arts. Our daughter, a civil engineer, credits her math and science teachers for giving her a foundation for success. The work ethic she developed at St. Francis made college and her professional life less stressful. The environment at St. Francis nurtured a moral compass and the ability to make life-long friends. It was a sacrifice paying tuition, but we made a good education in a safe environment a priority.

Saint Francis is the best high school education and experience available. I graduated in 1997 and it paved my way to two Ivy League schools. The faculty cares, the students are ambitious and collaborative, and the curriculum is challenging and satisfying.
