I worked hours there in exchange for getting lessons. My knee got hurt during practice and found out I have Elhlers Danlos syndrome. I told them I have EDS. One of the people that owns the place said oh people get hurt a lot. I said yeah but exercise is still good for you. They completely ghosted me. Refused to answer my calls and messages. I still have credits for lessons and they won't answer me at all. I got ghosted for taking lessons or working there when they found out I got hurt and have a disability. Didn't bother to even say don't come back. Just silence. No conscience.

This Ballroom dance studio helped me and my Husband with our Wedding dance 5 years ago. I was overwhelmed with the Wedding and forgot to leave a 5 star review then. My Husband doesn't like to dance but with the help of Spotlight Ballroom our dance to the tune of "Have I told you lately that I love you" was a success! Fast forward September 2023, I've been back and taking classes and became a member. You don't have to bring your own dance partner, for sure you will get to experience dancing with a partner. They have the coolest Dance Coaches that will bring out your elegance and grace. I love me some Spotlight Ballroom. Go Tango, Waltz, Salsa, Rumba, Bachata and many more.

So you've never danced, or maybe you're an accomplished dancer but wish to explore other dance styles! Spotlight has talented and certified instructors, knowledgeable with a passion to teach! They also have social dances weekly!! What are you waiting for! Go kick up your heels!

My now-husband and I came here at the recommendation of someone. We only had about a week until our wedding and wanted to prepare for our first dance. We took 3 classes and while we wanted to take more we felt that it was good enough since we didn't have more time. The instructor was very friendly and we had a nice time. We are hoping to return since it's close to where we live. Our first dance at our wedding went with barely a hitch too!

Ahhhhhhh this place. I'm so glad it exists and I really hope they are able to open up group dance lessons again soon.There are not many places to dance ballroom or west coast swing, so I'm very thankful for this place.It's hard to find... tucked away in an industrial park. There is a lot of free parking.They have a great dance floor and have live bands once in a while on Friday swing dancing nights. Great way to meet people and socialize.

Started beginner group classes with my partner and have really enjoyed the energy and warmth that we experience each time we go. It's also pretty affordable with their packages.

Leslie Dickason, we love you. My daughter and I took lessons from Leslie for our father/daughter wedding dance. Leslie helped us pick a song and choreographed a dance that fit the song and our abilities. She coached us through the routine. She's a great coach; very helpful and observant. We had a lot of fun. She's pretty wonderful.PS: Spotlight is a great place to learn and to do some social dancing. People there are friendly and fun. Christina is also a good instructor and possibly the best dancer I have dance with. She also DJ's and teaches Zumba.

Christina at Spotlight Ballroom is amazing! My husband and I did a series of 10 private dance lessons with her before our wedding. My husband is not a dancer and was less than thrilled about the idea of taking dance lessons. However, he enjoyed the experience from the first lesson and is now interested in taking more. Christina helped us feel confident on the dance floor. She taught us how to move around the dance floor and different moves to add in to make our dance more interesting. The studio was very flexible when we had to cancel and reschedule a few different lessons. Our wedding dance was a highlight of the day thanks to Christina.

I started Lindy / Swing classes at Spotlight with Bryant about 5 months ago and it's been the best experience of my partnered dance history. Bryant is skilled in multiple styles and tailors lessons so that I get results incrementally on the road to my ultimate goals. In fact, I've learned more from him in the last few months than my other years combined. I HIGHLY recommend him - and I'm thrilled to have a place like Spotlight in Sac!

One of my favorite places to dance at, and I have been coming (especially to their Midtown Stomp nights) whenever I could for the past ~4 years. As others have said, their location often doesn't give you the entry place correctly on maps, so just put in the address for Chando's on Boatman and then it's just across the street from it. The swing dance lessons and crowd are always my favorite, but occasionally I do other forms of dance- the instructors and management are some really great people. I don't plan to stop dancing any time soon, and I'm so glad that they're now open (with safety requirements) despite the pandemic.
