Not much to say. I came here to drop off used batteries. Best Buy no longer bothers doing that. I appreciate this community center doing so still.

Run down, broken slide, boarded up playground spots. Come on it's spring and kids want to get out and play. We aren't on lockdown anymore so let's give the kids a chance to enjoy being outdoors again.

I visited this community center 2-3 times a week before the quarantine. The staff is really friendly and did a great job of running the place. I mainly used the fitness room which has weights, exercise bikes, and treadmills. The fitness room is always organized and clean. There are plenty of treadmills but sometimes there's a wait for the bikes because there are only two. However, that doesn't happen very often. It's a great place to go if you don't want to spend a fortune on a gym membership. The center also offers things like yoga, martial arts, dance, senior, and after school programs. There's great little cafe and an epic play area for kids called Fort Natomas.

We rented the big room for a babyshower event; once I was the host and another time when I was the guest. For a couple hundred bucks, you get a pretty cool amount of space, as many tables and chairs you'd like, and people are in and out on a set time. The chairs are like high school cafeteria chairs. The downside is that the room is dependent on the size of your party, and an increase number means you need to purchase security, & etc. Also no balloons are allowed. No pinning things to the wall either. But there are 2 boards that you can pin stuff on for decorations. If you get the big room, the back door leads out to the playground to let all the kids play.

South Natomas Community Center is a welcoming and helpful place for all ages and people. If your single, married, kids or no kids they will have something for all.One room i saw which was wicked cool was the BULLY FREE ZONE! Located in the teen lounge. That was awesome and glad too see that! They have a lot of classes going on here, some for example: yogas, hip hop and dance, ballet arts, soccer classes, after school activities for ages 11 - 17, tiny tots, arts and crafts, they have a room for just computers, a gym room, and wayyyy more. They even hold the south natomas pops in the park here, they have a beer garden, live band, food trucks and vendors. There has been the side walk chalk art. It was fun to see all the art work being done, and my kids even got to chalk it up, and i helped too. They hold alot of holiday themed things to, during Christmas they decorated the big tree out front, Halloween there holding a "Freaky Friday" with indoor trick or treating and movie afterwards. We have signed are kids up for a few things, the process can be easy if you follow the right steps and talk to right people. Depending on which classes or programs you do sign up for depends on who you do pay. They do put out a monthly flyer for the programs and all activities that are going on. And you can pick up Sacramento parks and recreation magazine here, which gives you information for all the Sacramento community centers. Here is there website :http://www.cityofsacramento.org/ParksandRec/Community-Centers/SouthNatomasCenterIf you like to tweet or instagram you can follow them at: @southnatomasccAnd if ya Facebook : Facebook.com/SouthNatomasCommunityCenterThere is alot going on here for the natomas community, definitely worth checking out if you live in the neighborhood.

I would honestly give this community center more than a 3 stars if it wasn't for the customer service. It's almost like the volunteers or the people that work there , don't want to be there themselves. The community center has a lot of programs and amenities like a free gym to work out from programs for seniors, teens and little ones. But the people at the front desk come across so rude like your inconveniencing them to ask a question, as if that is not their JOB It's almost makes not want to come there in my experience. With that being said, I give people the same energy they give me back so I still come to enjoy all the Community Center has there to offer.

Excellent community center the front desk staff Monica was so nice and helped me navigate the community center. The wellness room attendant who's name I didn't get was so polite to me even though I had not signed up to be a member yet. Would definitely visit again

This place is very unprofessional, we rented and reserve a room months ago for a baby shower, staff understood we will have to set up early, but of the day of the event we couldn't set up because they still had people in the room and stated we couldn't set up until when the event starts, the staff claimed to be apologetic but saying it in a sarcastic way, I asked if I could be refunded half of my money but instead for resolving this we had to pay an additional $50.00, I suggest you think before you rent here
