First off, there was nothing about this restaurant that justified a five star. The location was in an old shopping plaza. The restaurant itself was old. It looks like it's ready for a remodel.Funny thing was, we arrived right after 3pm while the restaurant was pretty much empty. They sounded annoyed that we didn't have a reservation. I was about to say, "would you like me to call you right now?", but then they said they would take us anyway. So, now, I feel like.., I'm somehow begging to pay them. The food was nothing spectacular. I could have made it a bit better. When we were done, they counted my new born as a person so they automatically tacked on the gratuity. Would I go back? Probably not. There's too many other options to revisit this place.

Lien is amazing! She was our server and did everything in her power to make our dinner great. David is literally one of the worst people who I have ever seen working in a restaurant. Idk if he is a manager but if he is.. then he shouldn't be. We had a double burner and they didn't cook anything on our burner. We didn't have the "show" component but the food tasted good so there is that.

I am not usually one to write a bad review off of the first visit but this experience has left such a horrible taste in our mouths, we wanted to warn everyone to visit at their own risk.I called to reserve the day prior for a 6pm reservation for party of 12. We arrived at 5:55pm and were still waiting on some members of our party. So they start to seat other people ahead of us in smaller parties, fine. We finally got our party together and we were seated at a table around 7pm. They are only able to seat 9 or so to a half hibachi grill, and so our party was split into two tables making it hard to converse with anyone who isn't sitting at their table. That also meant the chef could only cook for one side of the party. We noticed there was a table with two grills next to each other so that would have accommodated our party had we been sat at an appropriate time. We gave them grace, as we thought they may have just been so busy. We gave the server(s) our orders and we waited for an hour and some change. Whoever ordered sushi rolls got their order in a timely manner, but the rest of our party had to wait for a hibachi chef. While we sat for the next hour waiting for a chef to come and prepare our orders, we observed many parts of their restaurant that lacked severely in cleanliness but of note; their celiling, and we even saw a chef speak in profanities at another table. We proceeded to watch other tables seated after us receive service by their chefs, getting more turned off by the minutes that pass.It is now just after 8pm, and we finally got a chef and were the last ones to be served, and this is only after we have finally said something and wanted to speak to their manager. We were feeling pretty disappointed at this point as we were not checked up on as frequently as other tables, and were trying very hard to be patient with their staff and their chefs. We finally got our chef and he was so friendly, and entertaining. He was also empathetic to what followed. In the middle of our dinner, a vent cover from the ceiling falls and hits a member of our party on the back of her neck, who was holding her newborn child. And not only did this happen in front of multiple staff members, it took them almost 10 minutes to come and check on our guest. Now we understand that accidents happen, and this was probably the worst timed accident that could have occurred because at this point, we'd had enough. It was bad enough that their service lacked the entire 2+ hours we were there, but now this dinner has become a concern for someone's safety. Mind you, had her child been sitting on her own in a high chair, they would have been hit right on their head. While the manager took care of whatever she could to accommodate by comping our guest and her family's meal and waiving the service charge for the other table, it was very clear by the end of the dinner that we would not be returning. This place needs to be evaluated by the FDA, BBB, and OSHA immediately.

Had a fantastic dinner here with generous portions of delicious food. I highly recommend ordering a meal that they cook on the grill as it is prepared right in front of you and is super fresh. The chef was highly entertaining and created such a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone. Will definitely be back in the future!

this is a small hole in the wall that we just found on Google maps. There was about 12 of us in our party. We went on a Friday night did not have any problem being seated. The food was really good. I had the steak and chicken combo. My only complaint was there was no bacon in the fried rice. They put chicken in the fried rice, which most Teppanyaki places do bacon. The highlight of my night was the jalapeño bombs. Those are so delicious.

Waited for a long time they are really not that busy. We ordered almost 200 dollars of food between two adults one 10 year old and one 5 year old. But because it was 3 entries we have to pay another 5 dollars in order to share with my kid! Only being here one other time don't remember this 5 dollar extra charge or being this slow. Honestly not even that busy and waited a long time just to get drinks ordered then another 20-30 mins just for a chef to come. Pretty disappointed.

I've visited 4 different times. This is my favorite teppanyaki place! The food is good every time. For those complaining about the wait for service, I appreciate that they seat you as quickly as possible, even if the chef is not ready. I'd much rather be sitting at the table with a water waiting, than sitting in the lobby waiting to be seated. When you visit other Teppanyaki places, they normally just give you a 30 minute wait during the dinner rush to be seated. The chefs are all really good here and they all have their own personal styles. How you interact with the chef will definitely affect your experience. If you are high energy it allows them to be high energy and if you are dismissive, then they are less encouraged to be interactive. Also please make sure you tip your chef separately in cash before he leaves your table... I normally tip the chef a lot more than I leave on the receipt for the server because the servers don't do that much since food is made at the table.

I was on a date and this place was bookmarked. Our cook was good and we paid attention, although we were both trying to size each other up on the date. I ordered the scallops and steak, my date ordered the steak with lots of extra shrimp. I like my steak rare(blue in fact) and I gently reminded the grill to take it off. It came out almost medium rare. I wasn't particularly wowed by the sauces and thought the soup could have used more seasoning. I would have been done with the requisite miso. The salad was good. I asked for jalapeños to be grilled as I like a bit more flavor and kick with my food. Overall, it was a good date and a good meal.

Are u kidding me. I will drive 30m out here. The service and food is AMAZING. I've gone to every hibachi in Folsom Roseville and Rocklin and this by far is the best. The food was great but the service is top notch. Boli was our chef and Leanne was our server. But every single person was great. Remember to always tip your chef separately. They really do deserve it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Any negative review. I don't get. Because our experience was PERFECT from start to finish.
