This is one of my favorite Korean markets around because they have lots of cool snacks, drinks, and trendy items! The workers here are friendly and quick at restocking. Even though the building is smaller than typical markets, they are able to fit all grocery necessities and have enough walking space. They also have an area where they sell food that they make, such as japchae, Korean fried chicken, kimbap, and more. I love how their kimchi fridge is organized and well stocked, it's so satisfying to look at! The kimchi they make is one of the best I've had from a market. This is definitely a great place for snacks and ramen because they always have great deals. They have items with reduced prices ranging from $1 to $3, which is great for those on a budget!

Their groceries are ALWAYS fully stocked, they ALWAYS have what you need. Perilla leaves all year round in the fridge at your convenience, the roasted laver, their home made in store kimchi is AMAZING!!! The staff are very friendly and helpful.. This store has all the basic staples of what you buy in a regular basis all year round to put in your pantry and fridge. Your able to find everything since the store isn't overwhelmingly big, but spacious enough for the most bought common items. I love shopping here and usually shop here over KP.

It's a grocery store. How do rate a grocery store? Well I'm not going to give it 5 stars because there can be some room for improvement. But when I'm in the area, I do enjoy coming here, and let me tell you what for....I know this is a Korean Grocery Story, but I don't actually come here to grocery shop. Pros:-parking lots is big, -location is off the street, easy to find-(pro/con) I don't come here to grocery shop for real food, but I come here to get a lot of cool Korean snacks and ramen noodles lol- I found the viral purple potato bread here, score!!!- they have yummy cooked food area with decent pricing.. must try the Kimbap!!! $4 per roll.. oh ya!!-I love to get the fresh purple yam (ube) here, they have good ones all the time, and perfect size because I like getting the small roundish shaped ones. Everytine I come they always have them. Other places don't, or they're not good quality, or too big. -large kimchee selection -someone mentioned the workers were rude, every time I've come , they have been very friendly and this is not my experience at all. Cons:-veggies are not fresh-check on sale items! They had ramen bowls marked down for 99cents which was awesome and I checked the date and it was over a month expired .. go figure -there are cakes and rolls the fridge in front of the cash register, inspect these before purchasing or just skip these all together. I bought one of the chocolate rolls once and they had mold. Yuck. -Small in size, the aisle are very tight. Two people can not pass at the same time. You have to move aside and give room for another to pass. Super tight in there.Overall, I give Smile Food Korean Mart 4 stars. I think it's fun. I come here to find viral TikTok foods, yummy ramen, Korean corn dogs, snacks, and I make an effort to come early (before 11am) for the fresh Kimbap!!!

I recently discovered Smile Food Market on Yelp, and I'm surprised that I haven't heard of it until now. I usually go to KP International market for specific Korean stuff like gochugaru, soy bean paste, or fresh kimchi, but now I have another option. Even though Smile Food Market seems way smaller than KP in size but I find that they carried a lot of authentic Korean food and items. There were at least 20 types of noodles to make Japchae. I also find their prices are slightly cheaper. The aisles are narrow and crammed, so I wouldn't bring kids or strollers. It would be hard to go up and down the aisles. The store might look small from outside, but the space inside is bigger than I expected with many sections. If you plan on picking up the kimbab, I would get there early because they sell out fast!

Best Korean market in Sacramento Valley, or maybe even Northern California (excluding Bay Area). They have everything you need. Various types of kimchi, including vegan, and got kimchi, (갓김치) seasonal food items, and fresh Korean food. Fermented fish sauces, including the shrimp paste which goes perfect with the jokbal that they have in the warm food section. It's not the cleanest and organized, but I'm not complaining to have this slice of Korean heaven in Sacramento. They also have fresh seasonal fruits, just like the strawberries I bought! Peach season is coming soon.

My friend told me about this place. I discovered that they had the viral sweet potato bread, so I made my way here. I purchased that, the viral cream donut, and kimbap. The bread was more pricy than I expected- $10. I can't wait to try it though. I walked around and saw they had a good selection of kimchi. The market is quite small and tight.

A gem of a Korean grocery store! Always finding something new and interesting here! This time, the trending single serving packaged drinks! All that was missing was the freezer of plastic cups of ice.

Place is cool. A lot of variety and options for Korean snacks/food. WARNING: the reason why I am giving a low rating is because the store layout and aisles are SUPER compact. Only enough space for one cart/stroller in the aisles. The layout of the place is not cart/stroller friendly at all, and I am not exaggerating one bit. I went with wife and baby with one regular sized stroller and it was nearly impossible to get around the store...
