Brought the grandkids on a Saturday morning to try the infamous slide- it did not disappoint! Highly recommend! The playground is smaller than most but the kids loved it. Lots of shade, benches, and picnic areas. The pool looks amazing, we will bring our suits next visit. We had the park to ourselves for over an hour, we will be visiting again:)

The name of this place says it all! This park is located in East Davis and is a great place for all ages! This place has basketball courts, a playground, a huge field to play on, BBQ pits, and a pool area with a few water slides to play on. This review goes specifically to the huge concrete slide since that is what my friends and I came for originally when we decided to go here. Come with either a small cardboard or a huge long one so you can slide down the steep concrete slide. With the small cardboard you can slide down by yourself or if you come with the huge long one you can slide down 2 at a time. I have done both, but I would say that sliding down by yourself is safer...first hand experience. Wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting messed up in because you will use them to slow down your speed if you are too scared to go fast. Be prepared to get a few scratches and a few bruises on your butt. Other than that, this slide is very exhilarating and fun!A few tips: -Bring your own cardboard. There are a few there but you should probably bring your own just in case. -Wear comfortable shoes-You might want to wear long pants or a long sleeve if you don't want to get scratches or bruises.-Don't be scared, you only live once.

Huge park with a lot more than just a playground! Everything is fairly well-maintained and can be actively used. Some of the main park features include:-tennis courts-huge grassy fields-swimming pool-basketball hoops-small playground-softball field-concrete slideI came here to check out the concrete slide, which is located right next to the street. Don't forget to bring a piece of cardboard to use as a sled! There are 3 lanes separated by bars at the top, so it's easier if your cardboard can fit between the bars when you start off. There's usually a lot of cardboard at the bottom of the slide leftover from other park goers, so if you happen to forget to bring your own, you might be able to just snatch one from the bottom.

Cute little park where you can slide off a giant concrete hill on a piece of cardboard and hope your butt is okay. :P It reminds me of a smaller slide hill back home that I used to go to as a kid. ;') Those were good times. Anyways, the park is right next to the community pool and a playground. This is a great place to take kids out for a day to have a picnic, go for a swim, play on the swings and slide down the hill. There's cardboard there left from other people, but it's probably best to BYOC since some of the cardboard there is worn out.

It's a beautiful park that have so many activities! 2 tennis courts, basketball, softball field, play ground, BBQ pits, huge rock slide and even a community swimming pool! The park is clean and family friendly. This is probably one of my favorite parks because it's so quaint and beautiful. I love playing tennis here because there is so much shade from the trees. I will be back for the rock slide when I get my own cardboard!

We came on a Saturday in the early afternoon. A very cute small park, seems a little hidden in its location. A few play areas for kids are disconnected and scattered around one end of the park. Sand pit, jungle equipment, small plastic slides, swing sets. Across this is a field of very well kept grass and here we arrive at the real fun. A long wide concrete slide.Someone left a few pieces of long cardboard off to the side for others to use to slide down (ten points to Griffindor!) and it helped us go down a couple of times.A very nice neighborhood park.

This slide was super fun!! My son is 6 and he loved it!! He is really brave tho the slide is really fast!! Next time I might be tempted to make him wear a helmet, knee pads, gloves, and a mouth guard. Good thing is he never got hurt. But if he does it will not be pretty. The kids really gain speed on the boxes!! There were plenty of extra card board boxes when we went, so no need to bring your own. Unless... Because of my awesome review this park gets super popular then you might need to bring your own box. Have fun!

I've been to Slide Hill Park many many times over the years for my friend's kids birthday party BBQ and pool parties. Located in the east Davis neighborhood off of Covell Blvd, Slide Hill has a community pool area for a modest entry fee. It's an affordable and great way to bring the family out together to cool down in the hot Davis summer heat. There's also a basketball court, two softball fields, a playground, tennis courts, and a BBQ area as well. There's plenty of parking near the pool area but it fills up quickly when the pool area opens so that leaves the latecomers to fight for it on the nearby residential streets. The picnic areas and softball fields can be reserved with the City of Davis in advance for a fee but otherwise, it's first come, first serve. I've come here before where the birthday party comes to set up and there were people who were already there, unaware that a reservation was forthcoming...This park really has something for everyone so I'm quite jealous of any nearby Davis residents who live near this gem of a park. Too bad San Jose doesn't have something as good as this park in our neighborhoods!

Any park that has a concrete slide gets 5 stars in my book! I basically grew up with a concrete slide park back home in San Jose and then after moving to Davis for college, I was ecstatic to see that there was one here in town. Concrete slides are fun for people of all ages whether you're a young daring child or a college student with possibly low inhibitions. This concrete slide is kind of at the corner of the park. It's pretty wide, so 2 peopel can go down at once racing each other. The slide in my opinion is short, but it is steep and you do pick up speed by the end. I've never been able to get a graceful exit/landing off the slide. It basically ends with me face planting into the pile of cardboard and tanbark. But what's a little fun without some cool battle scars to remember it by. Besides the slide, the park itself is very big! I've been here to celebrate many picnics/bbqs and there's picnic tables, large open grass areas, a basketball court, and also tennis courts. There's also a community pool here too!BYOCardboard - or a little PRO-TIP from a girl who grew up in an Asian neighborhood - use an empty rice sack instead. You'll go A LOT faster.
