Very nice restaurant, clean, friendly staff.Restrooms were even very cleaned. lol. I'll be honest I'm not a big sushi guy, but I really enjoyed our meal. There was 5 of us and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Was very nice. Music was different, one minute playing one and then playing Hispanic. Music then EDM type. lol. Was od. But overall our visit was nice and food was good too. Oh I loved the names they have for drinks and entree dishes.

Don't go! We had not been here for 2 years due to a poor experience last time. We figured if they were still in business it might be time to give them another chance.. our bad. It took excessively long for everything, to order, to get dinks, to get food, everything! Our son's drink came out wrong and the server said he would be right back with the right drink, nope.. we had to ask again 10 minutes later. Pepperfin was still frozen. Udon soup was boiling hot but by the time the rest of our group got their first two rolls (one was wrong and sent back, we ordered the Lemon crunch and were sent the Hawaiian) the soup was lukewarm. We waited another 15-20 minutes and the second roll never came. In all we were there almost two hours and still never got our full order. We paid for what we had and we will never go back.

I stopped coming to this place 2 years ago because it took 10 minutes to just get a drink order in, and then the food took almost an hour after ordering. The owner argued with me about it and we left. I felt like I was arguing with the owner of the electronics store in the movie Don't Mess With The Zohan.I decided to come back and give it another try tonight. At least the drink order happened but everything else was the same. I had to get up from my table 45 minutes after ordering and hassle them. We got rolls that we didn't order. The food was mediocre. One roll didn't even come and we waved it off and just asked for our check.I wish this place would close so that a good restaurant could go into that spot and replace it.

A Bittersweet Goodbye to a Favorite Spot --Sky Sushi used to be our go-to place for authentic sushi. It had the perfect blend of traditional flavors with a modern touch that kept us coming back time and again. Unfortunately, after the main chef left, it just didn't feel the same. Some of the traditional touches we loved seemed to be missing, and the overall experience wasn't quite what it used to be.While the current team does a good job, it's not quite the standout spot that it once was. That said, it's still a decent place to grab sushi. It's bittersweet to see the change, but we're grateful for the great meals we enjoyed there in past 18 months . If you're in the area, it's worth a visit--just keep in mind that if you're seeking a traditional Japanese experience, you might notice a difference.*uploaded some food photos from various visits to share what we typically order.

First time visiting this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant looked up scale and vibing with great music and lighting. The sushi chefs were awesome and made my experience the best! Our waitress was a little slow at first but once we moved to the bar area it hit better. The miso soup was delicious as had great flavor. The recommended edamame with garlic sauce was out of this world and I'm so happy we took a chance on them. The sushi roll that was created especially for by the ingredients I asked for was so good and I can't wait to experience this restaurant again very soon!

Visited this place as we live here in EDH and everything closes by 9pm even on Fridays so hard to get good meal past this time. Well I'mGlad we stopped by. First not sure about all the recent bad reviews or what was different about me and my guest, but we were greeted, sat down at the sushi bar and the food was amazing! I had the king dragon roll and the scallop maniac and both were good rolls. The scallop maniac was awesome and would go back for this roll alone. The chefs both Kevin and Alan were attentive, talkative and carried a good conversation throughout our meal. The selection of music was great and loved it and not too loud as others have said. The service by Marissa was fantastic and very helpful through the entire meal. I would say Sky sushi sound definitely be on your list of sushi places here in El Dorado Hills. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. The chefs and the staff made us feel at home and welcomed and the food was delicious and the rolls had great flavor and the ingredients were paired well! Definitely a great place for dinner! I recommend it!

Food was well presented and tastes great. Ordered 4 roll, edamame and tempura for appetizers. When I got here I was greeted with half a smile ( not a genuine welcome) and got a table for three which was located closest to the door. Every time the door was opened - was hit with blast of cold breeze - it's cold outside. Order taker very generic - all the rolls had playful names. Was not offered new plates after appetizers, had to ask. New plates were just placed on the side of the table - still did not take the used plates. Ordered dessert ( see pictures) looked awesome. The fried banana was not so good. Too much whip cream tasted way different than all others - have eaten this all over greater Sacramento area. Total spent with tip $148+.And I won't mention the hot( warm) tea! I hate people that leave bad review without cause. I wish them success - but I will not go there again. Giving 4 stars instead of 1.

The only thing positive to say is the wait staff has always been really friendly and attentive.The current management is terrible. Went in with a friend that ordered a specific dish she's had there multiple times - the wrong dish was served so she politely asked if she could have what she ordered. The server went to ask the manager and returned to say she could order something else but they would still charge her for the incorrect meal. Huh?Asked to speak with Manager - I see her walk by a few times but not come over. She actually started to come over then turned around. Finally she gets there and is condescending and defensive. After being super rude she says 'well what do you want me to do? take it off the bill?' Nice.That said, we'll never eat there again - I feel bad for the servers but the current management is awful. You lost local regulars for a $20 dish that was your mistake. Bye!

My girlfriend and I would frequent there a few times a month. We had a negative experience with the management and we will never go back. My order was incorrect and we told the server who was great and she talked to the manager about it. The server came back and said unfortunately we still have to charge you for it and for the new order as well. I said have your manager come over to talk to me-who should came over to us immediately knowing we were not happy with our dinner. The manager was condescending and rude. After an argument i finally got my dinner comped. We had a a large to go order as well so for them to lose business over a $20 meal that could have been handled so much better is bad judgement and management on their part. We will never go back nor will our friends after hearing about my experience.
