Sizzling Fresh Mongolian BBQ

This has been my favorite Mongolian BBQ place in South Sac for years, and I'm honestly shocked at all the reviews talking about "rude" service. One of the things that keeps me coming back is the friendly, attentive service I've received! I have a feeling people are running into language and culture barriers as none of the staff speak English as a first language. I don't need a saccharin greeting and a big smile at every restaurant I attend, and I wish more people would chill at jumping to "rude" accusations when someone is just trying to do their job and efficiently get customers through the line.All that aside, while it's tough to review a place like this when you're responsible for making your own food, I've always been impressed with the variety and freshness of the ingredients. There's also a big selection of sauces at the end, and additional toppings beyond that. When ordering the lunch special, the servers have always been super quick to bring out appetizers and rice, and check multiple times to ensure you don't need anything more. I've been to many MBBQs in Sac, and this continues to be the one I enjoy the most!

Decided to give this Sizzling Fresh another chance....mistake. The rudeness of the workers destroys any hope of having an enjoyable meal. Sad that I tipped so well upon entry and again at the cook's station. Such a stark contrast to the wonderful service that is provided at the Natomas Sizzling Fresh location.I walked into the restaurant and I was the customer. They were free workers gossiping counter to them with her back to me and they knew I was there and they continued gossiping. I asked if I could if they still require payment , so we made her way over to bring me up. I didn't give me a bowl. It was ridiculous so I just did in front of the service area staring at me. I politely asked for a bowl which after finishing their conversation they could give me. I believe the bowl was smaller than the 1st bowl they give you at the Natomas location;, which is fine because I don't need that much, but people who are used larger bowl will be disappointed. I advised them that I did not require price or Friday items and I just pointed to my table. They had already sent them out. I then went to get some chopsticks and sweet-and-sour since I got the eggroll and they yelled at me saying that there were utensils and sauces on the table. There are not sauce for me and there were no chopsticks on the table. Presents and when I went to go get more water, I was feeling soda. Really an awful dining experience. I do not plan on returning to this location.

Food was very fresh and the service was fast. It was pretty busy but we were seated quickly . The veggies were cooked just right , not too soft . Lots of choices for sauces. The counters did get a little messy with patrons self serving and making a mess. All you can eat for less than $20 per person is a good deal if you are hungry enough to eat more than one bowl , comes with spring roll and small bowl of rice .

I came during dinner, so dine in was all you can eat. For the price, it was worth it but for someone who doesn't eat too much then it's not so worth it. (Talking about me ).I enjoy picking my own ingredients and sauce. Any of the combinations I usually go with, tastes pretty good! Their staff's very nice, and explain everything if it's your first time. The vegetables and protein, look and taste very fresh. The only questionable thing was the corn...Cleanliness, could be better!!

It was my first time trying to dine here. We went there for dinner. It's $18.99/person. Overall, it is good. The restaurant is clean, and the food is freshly cooked. Service is ok. They even prepared egg rolls ,fried wonton skins, and fried rice on the table for us.

Clean tasty place. You can take your lunch bowl but not anything from the all you can eat dinner which is understandable.I have seen them preparing to go or Door Dash orders and they are always generous. Sometimes these places can be a mess with all the meats and vege but the staff if one it, everything is cleanYou get fried rice and some tasty little extras on the side and the staff is prompt refilling those and your drinks!

Terrible service , rude lady working front. Gives super small bowls Wish I could have been treated better

Our friends took us to this restaurant and we saw the negative reviews on the drive over, but we really liked it. The counters and restaurant were clean. The meat, veggie, and noodle choices were plenty and the food was cooked well. Service was as you would expect in a mongolian BBQ restaurant and they kept our drinks refilled. All-in-All, had a good experience here and would return if in the area and craving mongolian.

Food is always fresh, but the restaurant needs a good cleaning. At least in the seating area. Dead bugs on the window blinds, cobwebs above door and near ceiling and ventilation corrugated pipes from ceiling to floor. ??!Have pic but don't see option to add.

In terms of food the food is amazing. Never had a bad dinner. But there is always one lady there that is rude.
