Sierra Rizing

We had our son's rehearsal dinner here on the patio for 24 people and it was wonderful. We had the onion puff pastry and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and everybody raved about them. Dinner was the dry rubbed tri-tip which was cooked to perfection, wild rice pilaf, asparagus, spinach salad and a delicious rosemary bread. There was plenty of food and we were able to bring the leftovers home. The desserts were also outstanding! The price was quite affordable and the service was top-notch. I will definitely use Sierra Rizing again for any future catering needs.

Went on a hike on our trip to California and stumbled upon this coffee shop.The staff is very knowledgeable in the surrounding area if you're interested in going kayaking or hiking. All the food that they have there is made fresh to order the morning of and runs out very quickly because it is a local spot.I would highly recommend getting a slice of pie and one of their empanadas that are made fresh. They have different coffees that is comparable to Starbucks, but I would say is cheaper and a large larger portion. The inside is a market that has different local goods made by the locals in the area as well as indoor and outdoor seating near the river. It's a very cute mom and pop shop that gives you a feel of the local area, I would highly recommend going inside and taking a look and talking to the staff there!

Was pleasantly surprised to see two vegan options. However when I tried to order the vegan veggie burger the woman behind the counter at first didn't even know what I was talking about. Then asked me what kind of cheese I wanted on it. Ok fine they don't get people ordering that very much. Then when it was brought out I took a bite and a long ribbon of cheese was visible. I picked the burger apart and there was cheese literally cooked into the burger that they are trying to pass off as vegan. Thank god someone with a severe dairy allergy didn't try to eat this but who knows if they continue on serving this and being misleading. They showed me a box they have that says vegan on it but I think they mix their vegetarian and vegan burgers together as this brand, if bought in bulk, mixes them (see photo). They kept trying to argue with me that the globs of gooey cheese were carrots or onions like I don't know what cheese looks like. It's nice for places to put an effort for inclusive options...but only if those options are what you say they are. Really sketchy and misleading, and straight up illegal and dangerous in terms of food safety and labeling. I will be reporting this if not corrected.

Lovely stop every time. Smoothies and pastries are great but you gotta try their berry pie!

Best BBQ this side of the Mississippi!! Sierra served Pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni & potato salad, superior egg salad, perfect slaw, crescent rolls ... all like home made!Topped off with homemade cookies, awesome ice tea(w/simple syrup) for 180 hungry people, buffet style, in about 30 minutes, Great caterer!

I can't say enough great things about Sierra Rizing catering! Not only was the food amazing but Teal and her staff went above and beyond with their service. We had a pasta bar and an assortment of the most delicious homemade pies for our son's rehearsal dinner. Our guests were amazed at the quality of the food! And on top of the great food and service, Teal is so kind-hearted and a lovely person to work with! She made this dinner so stress-free for me so I could enjoy my son's big day! I really can't thank them enough!

Sierra Rizing Catering just added their wonderful flair and flavors to our Valentine's wedding! From the tri tip and salmon entrees for the rehearsal dinner, the amazing treats at the reception and the delicious carrot coconut cake with cream cheese frosting, Sierra Rizing made a fabulous contribution to our special day! Teal generously donated to our Soroptimist International Placerville's 2025 Chocolate Affair. Not only did she provide fresh baked bread for the sit-down dinner for 120 attendees, she also donated a delicious flourless chocolate torte and a Jack Daniels Pecan pie for our dessert auction. My husband and I frequent Sierra Rizing often. In addition to the flourless chocolate tortes and great selection of pies, the lemon bars are AMAZING.

This is my favorite place to go for their angus cheese burger & cold brew. I prefer to sit outside & sometimes recieve a cool breeze off the American River. They also serve frittatas, quiche etc. Everything is made fresh. Goodies oh yes! Got a Carmel toffee bar for later. Can hardly wait..Family & furbaby friendly! I just wish they were open just a tad later though.Inside they have a selection of artisan made items as well. I just always enjoy myself here!

We were fortunate to meet the team at a Roadster Roundup event at the gold discovery museum as they were selected by the club to cater the lunch event due to their reputation for quality. Great for us...around 135 of us. The pulled pork sandwiches and rolls were well prepared, hot and tasted homemade (unlike generic catering). Potato and pasta salads, um...YUM! Also, tasted and looked homemade, also not generic and slopped together like others do.Cold iced tea and lemonade as well as a selection of chips. The portions were great, ladies were friendly and helpful and so welcoming. All tough to do for a large crowd and get everyone fed fresh food with a smile and great quality. And they walked around after lunch to serve a variety of killer cookies. I'd highly recommend...great real tastes served by great, real people.
