Sierra Banquet Center

Sue and her team at Sierra Banquet Center are fantastic! We had my dads retirement celebration at Sierra Banquet Center just after the new year and it was such a fun evening! I had a few ideas of how I wanted the night to go and Sue helped to make that possible at her gorgeous log cabin venue. I had quite a few things to set up and Sue allowed us in early to take care of the setup so we weren't rushing and stressed right before the event. The holiday decor was transformed from Christmas trees to classy and elegant whites and golds for my event colors/theme. Everything was beautiful and the tri-tip buffet was delicious!! I would love to have another event at the Sierra Banquet Center! Thank you Sue (and your team) for all that you did to make my dads celebration so memorable!

The review is directed toward the food. My husband and I went to celebrate a friends Birthday Party in June. It was a brunch event and roughly 50 people were there. The grounds were beautiful and it was right off the freeway but, if you didn't know where you were going you could easily miss the turnoff into the venue. When it came to eat it was buffet style which was fine but, when it got to us there wasn't hardly anything to eat. Frankly, I was astonished that for $25 a head, they couldn't provide enough food. Later, the waitress came around with a tray of bacon for those that didn't get any and replied that only 2 slices could be given. Only until others got theirs you could get more. In the end, it was my friend that I was there to see and I so I enjoyed my time with her.

I recently went and viewed this gorgeous facility for our wedding and reception. I met with Sue and she is so kind and understanding. I told her that we had a very tight budget and she worked some magic and I'm thrilled to say this is where we will be having the wedding of our dreams!!!! 100 guests are getting served tri-tip and three sides.... not buffet style, but they will be served! I can't wait!!! It's so peaceful here and beautiful. Try out their restaurant!

Sierra Banquet Center is fabulous.We stumbled upon this restaurant by looking at Yelp reviews on a recent trip to Apple Hill. We had originally stopped at Red Apple Cafe and left before ordering because of the rude service. When we walked into SBC, it was a completely opposite experience. The lovely waitress/ hostess greeted us and was so kind and sweet. We actually had the place to ourselves so she sat us at a table in front of a beautiful fireplace. The entire restaurant, built like a log cabin, was beautiful and decorated for the fall season in great style. We ordered many items, but everything was fantastic. They had fish and chips and butternut squash soup as specials and both were amazing. We also ordered hot chocolate which was great; they even toasted our marshmallows! Seriously, such a great, homemade meal. And, like I said, superb service.I've read some other reviews that complained about the prices. That's ridiculous. The prices were more than reasonable, especially for the quality of food, service, and surroundings. In fact, it was probably underpriced. I suppose if you want to eat down the road at the aforementioned place and be yelled at by the waitstaff, you can go save a few bucks. If you expect a good meal and decent service for your dollar, I'd come here.

So it was Mother's Day and my sister was looking for some place new to take my mother to. She remembered having a handout from this place which had a sample menu on it. The menu had simple everyday food good for a Mother's Day Brunch. She called to see about a reservation for four. They said they had a cancellation and could fit us in at 11:15am. Great we thought just enough time to get our act together, pick up Mom and have a great Brunch.We get there to find out it's a buffet okay I guess we can deal with that. They showed us to our table and just left us hanging. So, we got up and head to the buffet only to find the food all looked grey and you had to ask what everything was. I would think a place card telling you what it was instead of you having to ask the guy behind the table what it was. Most of the food trays were almost empty. Back at our table the food was very cold and not very tasty at all. Service was very lacking. We did get one round of drinks that came about 10 mins after we sat at the table with our food. Since it was a buffet we thought we would see if they brought out anything new. When we got inside they had run out of plates. Really a buffet and you can't even keep up with clean plates? When we did get back to the table our old dirty plates were still on the table so we just stacked them up (they never cleared a plate until we were ready to leave). Only asked if we wanted a refill on drinks right before we were going to leave.Price $153.00 for 4 people which they added an 18% gratuity. I guess they have to add it to the bill before handing it to the customer because when you don't get any service you would not leave much of a gratuity and nothing near 18%. I think Yelp should change the $$ to at least $$$.This Mother's Day Brunch was like getting to Thanksgiving Dinner after every has already ate the pie. All The food was COLD, No Service, when you have to wait for a plate at a buffet there is something wrong with the planning. Oh, Just to let you know that when we got there at 11:15 am there were only about 5 other table of guests there. All seated outside. When we left they did have a few people seated at inside tables but nobody looked happy to be there.The setting is very nice. Camino CA is a very beautiful place for sure in the Spring! The Food and the Service is another thing all together. Stop for the View, skip the food!

This is the best place to have your wedding hands-down. Staff literally made this one of the best days of my life. They were attentive and accommodating, did everything that I asked. The venue is clean and very scenic. The food was delicious. Ana was the absolute best. She went above and beyond to make sure that my guests were comfortable, she took care of me and my girls in the bridal suite with mimosas. The owner Wacqar, bless his heart made it affordable for me. I owe him a lot. They are very good people. They met my expectations and then some. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were and how they made my day perfect in every way.

Fantastic food and atmosphere.!!!Halibut was fantastic! Great beer and wine options too.

"We just had our wedding at this venue and it was a dream! Waqar and his team came through on everything they promised and made it even better then I pictured it. It's an all inclusive venue so they took care of catering, cake, set up, decor, etc. it's essentially a one stop shop where you choose what you want and they make it happen. Anytime we had a question or issue, Waqar was responsive, kind, and reassuring. If you're looking for a beautiful, rustic, one of a kind venue in the trees I highly recommend the Sierra Banquet Center!"

The best day of my life happened here!My husband and I, were married at the Sierra Banquet Center a little over a month ago - 4/22/17. If you are shopping around for a wedding venue, I highly recommend the Sierra Banquet Center for many reasons.First, the planning was made effortless by Sue, the owner and wedding planner. She made sure that our needs were met and that above all else, our guests were taken care of. She worked extremely close with us to create a catering plan and wedding schedule. We had access to the huge beautiful grounds, which made the wedding feel formal, but intimate at the same time.Second, the food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. I have been hearing for the past several weeks from various guests how delicious the food was! Of course, being the bride I did not get to indulge very much in several delicious options - including tri-tip and turkey sliders, pasta salad, and more. However, the few bites I did sneak here and there gave me the strength to dance through the night and have an amazing time.Third, the cost. If you are looking for a quiet, secluded, romantic retreat in the woods, the Sierra Banquet Center is an excellent choice. My bridal party, grooms included, were allowed to spend the whole morning leading up to the wedding getting ready and relaxing. The surrounding grounds were gorgeous, and natural. Sue has taken much labor and effort to plant beautiful gardens, as well as a small man-built river which cascades into a pond. A wonderful backdrop to the dinner.I can honestly not brag enough about how much I loved getting married here. I shopped around and looked at many, many options, but am so pleased with how to whole evening went. Thank you, thank you, thank you Sue and all of the staff at Sierra Banquet Center. We called early in the evening to make sure they weren't having a private banquet and they said we could come right up. We sat outside and watched the sunset, with a view of a lovely garden. A young buck even passed by while we ate. The food was perfect in every way. The salad was fresh and perfectly portioned. And the chicken was tender. The sauce was special-made for me, using cornstarch rather than flour as the thickener. My husband's filet mignon was tender and flavorful.And the service was friendly and attentive. There's nothing not to like about the Sierra Banquet Center! My husband and I plan to gather our friends and go back soon!
