A Memorable Dining Experience at SiennaI had the pleasure of dining at Sienna in El Dorado Hills, and it was truly a fantastic experience! The ambiance is both warm and elegant, making it the perfect setting for a special evening out. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The food was nothing short of amazing, each dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the seafood was fresh and flavorful. We also tried a few of their signature cocktails, which paired wonderfully with the meal. It's a great place to enjoy delicious food in a beautiful setting, and I'll definitely be returning for another memorable dining experience. Highly recommend Sienna for anyone looking to enjoy a top-tier meal in El Dorado Hills!

I walked in with a group of 4 for a weekend dinner and it was packed. Definitely make a reservation during busy times. We grabbed seats at the bar and enjoyed drinks and food- it was great. I would definitely come again and try the entire menu. The restaurant is gorgeous and is definitely on the return list. I LOVED the blackened shrimp pasta. 10/10 recommend and would get again. The Brie was also good but I'm not sure if it's something I would order or just make at home. The chicken parm pasta was okay, but not nearly as good as the shrimp pasta. We also ordered bruschetta which was fine, and my friends ordered their usual- the sparkling salmon which we heard is their consistent favorite.

01/02/2025Our first family dinner outing for the new year! We've been here a few times already and decided to come back tonight for dinner. We started with a few dishes to share for the family and not one but two drinks (not at the same time) for this mama :)(2) Serrano Chilitini - $13 Serrano chili pepper infused vodka, orange liqueur and house made sweet and sourShared = Fresh Baked French Bread w/Salted Butter $2Shared = Burrata and Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta $16Grilled crostinis, basil, fresh parmesan, balsamic reduction and pesto drizzleShared = Seared Ahi Tuna Salad - $24Togarashi crusted #1 grade ahi tuna, mixed greens, carrots, cucumbers, avocado daikon radish, edamame, crispy wonton strips and wasabi vinaigrette.Oldest son = Prime Rib French Dip - $22Gruyère cheese, creamy horseradish, au jus and choice of rosemary parmesan frites or side salad.Hubby = Fitness Special - MarketpriceChef created special always under 450 calories.Seabass with sautéed butternut squash, kale and red onionMy choice = Sparkling Salmon - $31Honey-nut crust, sparkling wine sauce, parmesan whipped potatoes and green beansYoungest = Scallop Risotto - $38Smoked bacon and wild mushroom risotto, roasted corn, fresh parmesan and demi glace.Yelp reservations made it easy to grab a table. We were seated right away upon arrival. There is Happy Hour available from 3-6 but it's only available in bar and lounge area. Since we had the boys with us, we missed the HH deal today and sat at a dinner booth. The restaurant ambiance is nice. Service was good. Some water glasses did run empty. Food is pricier for portions served but overall tastes good. I haven't seen the menu change at all outside of fitness specials. We may come back and sit in the back patio in late spring/early summer to beat the heat. It's such a cute atmosphere out there.

Decided to come in on a random Thursday (12/2024) to celebrate the graduation of my fiancé and I. I had never been to this location and I was so surprised. It's in a shared building but upon entering you go to the elevator and tadaaaaa! This location was scenic and very beautiful! I was also happy to see that the place was empty which meant I would eat so much faster I was seriously hungry. Our waitress was nice we ordered quickly and before we knew it our food was at our table. The food all around was very salty and not like the other locations I know they were setting up for a big wine event later in the evening so maybe it was over looked but again I was so hungry I inhaled it. We also had a waitress change and we were a little forgotten about. We were in and out in about 1 hour and out of their hairs for their event!

I am cautiously optimistic as I write yet another update (I feel this has become a saga, but you have to understand that this was my favorite restaurant for a long time).I had been back once since my last review, and while that experience was slightly better, it still was not amazing. However, I went back this weekend, and the experience was different. It was somewhere in between the old Sienna and the last few visits version.Eric was our server, and he was fantastic. We were running later than expected and on a time crunch, which is not ideal for anyone, but he got us our food in 20 minutes and was so attentive and polite. We were in the bar area, so one of the bartenders and the busser (who was the only person on staff I recognized as everyone else including the management-looking figures looked new) were also attentive to our table. It was also clear those working the bar were developing those critical relationships with customers and had regulars who sit in that section whose orders they know. This felt like the old Sienna's, so I was quite pleased. The interesting part was the management component. Before I mentioned the manager they had about a year ago who had been there about a year, Philip. Philip was incredible. If the restaurant was not busy, he was getting to know customers and make them feel at home. If the restaurant was busy, he helped bus tables, serve food, and do anything else to help his staff be that much less stressed. The manager after Philip was always very aloof. He just walked around the restaurant not helping staff if it was busy or if they had too many tables, and while he would walk past the tables repeatedly, he never stopped to talk to anyone, even if it was empty. That brings me to this weekend. There were four new men dressed like managers. If there were indeed four managers there, that alone is interesting, but what was also interesting (and I use a vague word since there were pros and cons), was what they did while there. I am going to approach these as though they all are new managers, perhaps all there since it seems there has been a lot of turnover with all new staff.Pros: I did see one of the managers helping serve tables and two others helping set tables. That is definitely a step in the right direction.Cons: The restaurant was not terribly busy, and not one of these managers took time to check in at the tables to see how things were going. I would think especially with so much recent turnover, establishing relationships with customers would be helpful. In fact, for quite a while, the four of them were hanging out talking at the front desk. We had to ask one twice to move because he was blocking the walkway while chatting and we couldn't get through.I like that they were helping out the servers and bussers, but I do hope for more interactivity in the future. However, the main staff and the fact that they were helping is definitely a good step, and I am hopeful we are on the way to an amazing experience at Sienna's again.

My husband and I came in yesterday for the first time. We arrived around 6:30 pm and quickly found parking. The entrance was a bit confusing but we managed to figure it out- it's the same entrance as the yoga studio and workout place but you can either take an elevator or stairs to go up.The restaurant was filled for being a Thursday evening but we quickly got seated in a small booth next to the bar. Our server quickly came and got our waters and drink order. We decided to go with the ahi tuna nachos as an appetizer and bread. This dish came out quickly and it was fresh and flavorful. Our main dishes were the blackened shrimp pasta and Thai Chili Halibut. Everything came out in perfect timing and was delicious. Our server was awesome and we look forward to coming again!

Everything was great, except the braised short ribs. I'm sure they used pot roast and passed it off as short ribs. I'll never order that again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

The food and drinks were very good, as was the service. However, the atmosphere was cheesy. Loud pop music piped through cheap speakers so the sound quality was poor. Poor form for a restaurant that has the facade of elegance and sophistication- at least as reflected in its prices. Also, the fitness special used to be inspired and held its own in comparison with other entrees in terms of complexity and culinary excellence but the last few times I have been there it has been far inferior. Need to work on these few but critical features in order for Sienna to be a great restaurant.
