Short Stuff Cafe

This place has been there for a while and it's not the easiest to see because it is in the gas station. The food is simple and perfect, customer service is amazing, and the price is right. I don't get here as much as I used to because I changed jobs but I do go here when I am near.

Girthy burritos with a decent flavor, but feels like it's lacking salt? I don't think I've ever said that about a chorizo item before because I always felt chorizo had a natural greasy flavor to it, but the chorizo burrito was lacking oils/flavors that I always hope for in a breakfast burrito. Had to get all the flavor from hot sauces. Would come back again but wouldn't go out of my way for it. 3 star for average as I feel like there are much better breakfast burritos around.

Fill up your tank and your tummy... one stop shopThis counter-service cafe is located inside the Chevron gas station convenience store on Eureka Rd in Roseville. It is located across the street from Fat's Asia Bistro. On one section inside the store is a kitchen and they make some of the best sandwiches my palette has ever tasted, nothing fancy, just good 'ole taste-of-home kind of sammies. My cheeseburger didn't have the prettiest presentation but the thick, juicy burger was delightfully satisfying. Twice I've ordered the BLT on sourdough toast. They put lots of bacon on the sandwich. It's so good. I have yet to try their breakfast items.I've had this place bookmarked for the longest time. Business hours are limited (see photo) which makes it difficult for me to make it here and sometimes I just miss the window on when they're open. Also, it's better to call in your order so you're not waiting. Just pick up and pay at the register (not at the kitchen). Tips are appreciated. I called before I drove the 25 minutes over to their place on Saturday morning and the guy told me they were open. Their hours of operation on Saturdays are listed as 6am-10:45. I arrived at 9:00am and they had already closed!! I said, "I called ahead before I drove all the way over here." The guy just replied "oh well, we were slow so we closed down." This is NOT how you run a business. If you don't abide by your OWN hours of operation then why do you have them? Just say "we open and close when we feel like it, good luck." Don't know how to run a business? Then you shouldn't have one. Won't be back

So confused when I pulled up because there was only a Chevron gas station. As I went inside I didn't see any signage that the worker in the cove was Short Stuff Cafe. I grabbed a paper menu and sure enough, I had found it! The menu had many more items than expected given there weren't any chairs or tables for guests. I ordered a breakfast croissant and my son ordered a Meat Lover's Breakfast Burrito. They had a ridiculous amount of salsas to choose from, enjoy playing with them!Breakfast Croissant w/ sausage and cheddar cheese: 8 - Sausage was decently flavored but the croissant was very good. I got lots of cheese and egg but this really needed mustard and Mayo or some other condiment. It wasn't greasy which is a death low to a sausage croissant...decent option I'd say.Meat Lover's Breakfast Burrito: 6 - Breakfast burrito was on the greasy side but had lots of ingredients. Bacon was great, lots of eggs and cheese...probably too much...needs potatoes and more meat to be a better option.

SUPER SMALL WRAPS. Not a burrito, but fresh ingredients help. Not impressed. Probably perfect for the local customer base, but not for the breakfast burrito enthusiasts.

Best breakfast burrito I've ever had! Someday I'll try the lunch items but I love their breakfast so much it might be awhile.

We have been coming here for breakfast burritos for 20 years. I always tell people that they would be surprised by how great a gas station burrito is. I have not been in awhile because of cancer treatments and it's an hour drive round trip. My husband went today to surprise me, I was highly disappointed. They no longer make them to order, they are now in a warmer, by the time we got home they were cold and soggy. That never happened when they were made fresh. There's nothing worse than cold eggs on a soggy tortilla. It's not that hard to make so I guess from now on when I get a craving I will make my own for 1/4 of the price.To add to my disappointment, due to chemo treatments my immune system is low. My husband was treated badly for wearing a mask. People wore mask before Covid while going through chemo. You don't have to be a tough guy, especially if you don't understand the situation. Grow up and be kind

Didn't read the full description that this was in a gas station. Blew my expectations away. Proportions and quality of ingredients were great. Wide selection of hot sauces to accompany the breakfast burrito I ordered.

Short Stuff were rude and charged me extra to cut the burrito and pack it separately. So I'm done with them.Foods good. People aren't. RIP Crap ambience. It's in a gas station with no rhyme or order. They're regularly out of chicken cause they're too cheap to get enough.
