The food was delicious. Tried a handful of the sushi rolls and the sesame chicken. I was very impressed with all of the food.Service was also exceptional throughout the night. Deserved 6 stars!

We just ate here last night. It was okay. We ordered 4 different rolls. All the rolls came smothered in the same exact pink/white sauce. It made them all taste exactly the same, but with different textures. First couple were decent, after it wasn't great. Towards the end it actually got pretty gross. The restaurant was pretty cold inside, and the table we sat at was super wobbly. Also the lighting was pretty bright. We used to go here before it was recently sold. It had its issues, but the food used to be legit! I'm not trying to S on this restaurant. I hope they are able to get better.. although, if the masses like the same tasting roll covered in the same sauce, more power to them.

Sushi was very good. The rest was ok. We got cherry blossom and Tokyo rolls. Both were really good. Flavorful, fresh. The karaage chicken wasn't good. Really rubbery and not crispy at all. Potstickers were ok. Salad was good. Miso was good. Bbq albacore was ok.

Decided to try sushi in this neighborhood and it was a solid decision. Everything that we ate was mouth watering. We got 2 miso soups/ 2 appetizers: calamari and potstickers/ 4 rolls: shotgun is now called alex special because new management took over. We also got the flaming dragon, Mikey's special and deep fried roll alex two separate Alex's. Ones speciality roll, others deep fried. Everything was amazing. If you go get a couple of the sauces they give you for the pot stickers and calamari. It was delicious. We got the order to go but place looks nice inside. Didn't have to wait too long.

Shogun Sushi was a find, and it made our party unforgettable! Big group and a few sushi boats-the perfect choice. The boats were an impressive spread of fresh rolls, beautifully presented and full of vibrant colors. Each piece was incredibly fresh, of top-quality fish, melting in your mouth.Service is top of the line. The owner Alex, made sure the order was exactly what we wanted. The service was great, very attentive!!! They went out of their way to make our party perfect. If you want to have any kind of special gathering or just have an amazing sushi experience, or order a few sushi boats for your next party, Shogun Sushi is the place to go.

This might be my new favorite sushi spot! The rolls are more affordable than other places & their food is sooo good! Driving up, it's a smaller parking lot, but I haven't had a problem finding parking yet. They just expanded their restaurant so there's a lot more seating! The staff is super friendly and will check in on you every so often. On to the important part. The food.My favorites:Linet rollMikey rollHousewife special Other rolls I tried that are good but not crazy to my taste buds. Haha Alex roll - good but extra garlic which I do love ShogunGodzilla The bento box with chicken teriyaki was also good! & it had big portions! Come check this place out!

Came here for a late birthday lunch with the family and was pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing, and the chef Andrew made a great impression on everyone and brought out a special dessert for me. The chef's special is also a really cool experience because they get to be creative! I try to come here at least once a week. I found this gem one day working in Carmichael, and the food does not disappoint. The sushi is really tasty and the price is great. The inside has two rooms so they can serve plenty of people and every single roll i ate here is delicious. Their lunch special is the best bang for your buck and you can get hamache kama for $6!!! Thats unheard of. Will come here for dinner.

Ambiance was okay. It looks nice inside, however they have three TVs that appear to be playing an endless loop of European country screensavers and music that belongs in a nightclub. I've been to a number of sushi spots around Sacramento. I have never left a roll uneaten but a combination of soggy rice, over cooked edamame and shoguns "signature sauce" left more to be desired. Bruschetta sounds weird to be on a sushi menu and even though the menu made no mention of their take on bruschetta I guess o should have known it would be sushi inspired. Either way, that'll be first and last time I done at Shogun. Personnel were friendly and service was prompt but the food wasn't good. Currently headed to find a palette cleanser. Side note: the water with lemon was refreshing.

The sushi is amazing and you get a lot for the price you pay. The servers are also very fast and check in on you to make sure everything is good. The food comes out in a timely manner as well. The inside has a chill vibe and is a very clean restaurant.
