very interesting place to grab a cup of coffee. vintage collection of vehicle parts and accessories from distention eras. the ice mocha dark i got was great. it wasn't bland and had a good hint of dark chocolate that complemented the flavor well. service was great, and all the employees were very nice.

This place really does have the best grilled cheeses! I was in the area looking for coffee and how lucky did I get to be with my grilled cheese-obsessed brother and to stumble upon a place that had such great food too. Wish I took photos but will definitely be back anyway so I'll get a pic one day! Service & ambiance are nice too.We tried the Bay Area Brisket but honestly I'm sure anything on the menu hits the spot.

Shift Coffee House: Where Lattes and Laughs CollideIf you're looking to shift your day into high gear, look no further than Shift Coffee House--where caffeine meets comfort. My husband and I rolled into this cozy caffeine corner, and here's how our espresso-fueled adventure went down:Staff:Husband gives them a solid 4--polite, prompt, and proficient. But for me, it's a 5 because they served my Caramel Apple Spice Latte with the kind of care that felt like a warm hug in a cup.People Watching:We both agree on a 4. The crowd here is a delightful mix of quirky, stylish, and mysteriously cool--kind of like watching an indie film in real time. But with better snacks.Coffee:Husband's a 3. Let's just say, he's a "meh-rista" rather than a barista. His White Mocha left him a little flat, while I was absolutely swept off my feet by my Caramel Apple Spice Latte. It had me wondering if I could legally marry a beverage. (Solid 5 from me.)Food:Husband's "French Connection" sandwich hit all the right notes for a 4, but my "Capitol Sunrise" was an outright palate revolution. Fresh, flavorful, and fabulous--a bold 5 from me.Ambience:This one's a mixed bag. Husband's 4 means "good, but not life-changing." For me? It's a 5 all the way--trendy without trying too hard, cozy without feeling cramped, and just the right hum of chatter to keep things lively without drowning out your thoughts of world domination.Final Sip:Shift Coffee House clearly knows how to shift from good to great. While my husband's still cruising at a moderate speed, I'm in full-blown fandom mode. Whether you're there for the sandwiches, the lattes, or just the vibe, this place is the perfect pit stop to rev up your day.Husband's Overall: 3.8/5My Overall: 4.8/5And as for the rummy game? Well ... my husband was kicking my ass until the last minute when I swooped in and grabbed those much-needed points. Final score: me--225, him--125. No hard feelings, of course... well, maybe a little.

The parking was limited but we were lucky to find a spot right away. The shop is decorated nicely with automobile memorabilia. There are plenty of sandwich options and some good coffee and tea choices on the menu. The Bay Area brisket was delicious. We brought our dogs so we sat in the back gravel seating. There were limited seating options and the back gate opened up to an apartment/motel parking lot. If I came back I would not bring dogs and plan to sit inside.

This place amazing!!! We had breakfast sandwiches and coffees... I got the Oh Honey Latte and it is amazing and full of tasty spices... hubby got the Bugatti Royale Latte and it is delicious sweet and spicy cocoa... delicious! Next comes the breakfast sandwiches and I didn't know what to expect but they are Grilled cheese variations! I got the capital with bacon and veggies and it is super... hubby got the del paso and couldn't be happier with the brisket grilled cheese! This is one place I will drive the extra 25 minutes to visit again! Service was great and the ambiance is totally fun!

When the temperature drops, I always crave a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of soup so I was looking forward to checking out Shift Coffee House. Grilled cheese, soup + coffee... Yes, please!!The menu is extensive and there were so many options that I had a hard time making a decision. Luckily, there was a very helpful staff member who offered some helpful suggestions. I ended up ordering the Classic build your own sando with smokey cheddar and jalapeño jack cheese on sourdough bread. I was happy to hear that they use Truckee sourdough bread! The sandwich was grilled to perfection-- buttery, crispy on the outside & cheesy/ chewy on the inside. I also ordered a cup of tomato soup. The soup even had Parmesan cheese sprinkled in it. The soup was good for dipping my sandwich in. I opted to try their featured seasonal drink, the Caramel apple spiced iced latte. The latte was very tasty and the house-made apple spiced syrup was delicious! The graham cracker cinnamon sugar crumble topping added even more flavor to the latte and it was just the right amount of sweetness. The very friendly customer service, clean, comfortable, laidback atmosphere made my first time visit a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be back to try one of their sweet sandwich options.

3.5 - Solid. I checked out of my air B&B and needed Wi-Fi for a meeting. Found this place and heard they had delicious grilled cheese. Say less! It's a cute vibe and had they been there when my friend had a house around the corner I used to stay at all the time... lol anyway. I was promptly greeted and given help making a decision. I landed on the Bay Area one that had brisket and bbq sauce. It was recommended to get the sauce on the sando and I took the advise. I also ordered an iced O.D.Bee. I walked outside to see if I wanted to sit there, it was a warmer day despite having umbrellas, I kept thinking about flies and no one wants to have them swarm your food and be swatting all meeting, so I opted for inside. They do a good job of having outlets all over. I moved tables once and both spots had them. My food didn't take too long. They keep a quiet roar of people served, so be patient. They sell day old bread too which is cool, it wasn't the same sourdough on the Bay Area but it's still a bargain if you need bread. My drink came out first and was nice. Not too sweet, syrupy or overwhelmed with that strong coffee flavor. I'd order it again. My sando came out a little after and while it was tasty, it wasn't like melted cheese really. It was good, but not a grilled cheese. The bread was toasted so idk. I didn't bother to say anything or ask (I ate during my meeting) but now looking at photos it seems to be a VERY melty experience, but it wasn't mine at all. It was good and I'd order it again. Meats tender, but I think I'd try something else first. Place itself is cute and kitschy. I had to use the loo, it's large and clean, a nice patron watched my stuff. I'd go back, and be sure to check that my cheese was melted. Solid food either way.

Staff were so friendly and helpful!I got the Da Philly and CaVa latte, both of which were really good, though the latte was a little sweet for my taste. Music is a tad bit loud if you're looking to do work, but I didn't mind it too much.Overall really great place with really nice staff!
