Another GREAT mostly house made meal at Sergio's!! Spent my 59th bday here and Grass Valley and the food/staff was AWESOME!!!! BEST HOUSE-MADE FETTUCCINI AROUND!! WOW!! Their Organic chicken picata was outstanding!! And good sized portions! DELICIOUS REAL MASHED POTATOES, YES PLEASE! Cant wait to go back!!

We celebrated my in-laws' 51st wedding anniversary by having lunch here. It's located in Historic Downtown Grass Valley. I think it's in the perfect location because of the beautiful scenery. The only downfall is that the parking can be very challenging. It's a small, intimate restaurant. They do however have outdoor dining as well. Our service was good, but it would have been nice to have been checked on more frequently. I ordered the Shrimp Pasta which was from their lunch specials. The portions are big. I had a hard time finishing my food but then again, I don't really eat much....lol. Chocolate Mousse was the choice for dessert. I was surprised that they did not offer Cannoli.....bummer! Overall, it's a nice restaurant and the food is good.

I thought it was overpriced. The food did not blow me away. The seats are pretty close together. The service was great, though.

Food is really good but service not so great. My family and I have been here many times and usually the service is sufficient. But the most recent visit, the waitress served our food and chatted with another waitress the rest of the time. No one checked on us once until of course it was time to pay. Poor service = zero tip.

I was happily surprised, first the staff was awesome. 2nd the food was too. I promised my wife we are going to go again. Can't wait. Make reservations they get busy.

We have been coming here for over 3 years now and last night we were there for Mother's Day celebration. We were not disappointed. Favi and all staff are awesome in doing their jobs. It's a busy night but we know the food will be great! And again we we're not disappointed!The Surf and Turf dinner special was really delicious. All the flavours meld together as one fulfilling dinner experience. The ambiance is always just nice for a Grass Valley experience!5 Stars and please keep it going grea

This used to be my favorite italian restaurant in Grass Valley. Unfortunately had a terrible experience today..march 15th..see receipt. I have dined here for years and the food was always consistent. Last time i was here was about 6 months ago. Today was terrible...i got the salmon salad ( split plate with my boyfriend) which is what i always order for lunch. The salmon tasted fishy and undercooked. If you look at my previous reviews you will see the portions are a third of what they used to be and they use standard tomatoes instead of the tasty grape tomatoes. I only took 1 bite and knew it did not taste right. I had the server bring it back to cook the tiny piece of salmon. Still awful. We both did not eat our meal and yet she still charged us for inedible food. No suggestion of replacing it with something else. 43 bucks. She boxed it up and we through it in the trash. I know the owners and they are nice but the quality of food has gone down. Plus the salmon dish went up from 19 bucks to 21 bucks (inflation). I hope they can bring the place back to its original glory. It was not crowded at all for a Friday ( normally packed ).They had long term wonderful servers and cooks...did not see them today. Btw..we were starving and so we went directly to our fav mexican restaurant for lunch.

Magnificent steaks, risotto and calamari - the best ever! They cut, bread and fry each order of calamari! Our server Alyssa was amazing! Highly recommend!

The service here is great and the food is excellent! We love Italian food and have eaten at MANY restaurants. Sergios rates in the top! was recommended by a local snd we were very pleased that they did. D&D HeitzNapa CA

I took my fiancee here tonight, February 22. My fiancee and I ordered our meals and such, no biggie. The waitress brought us our food like they would normally do. The bacon wrapped sea bass I ordered was very good, the tri-tip salad my fiancee ordered was good but nothing special. This is actually not why I am on here. The reason I am on here is this, the service after the food was brought to us was absolutely horrible. Our waitress showed up to the table once to ask about the meal. We spent a bit of time there enjoying our meals. Understand something those of you reading this, I am a big tipper, even when going to IHOP. Our waitress was scarce, didn't once come by the table to see if we needed/wanted even a refill on water. My own opinion: a waiter or a waitress gets their hourly pay up to the point of bringing the food to the table. The tip itself is based on the actions, or lack thereof, of the waiter/waitress.Even at IHOP or any such place that may be categorized as such, I often tip well because of the hospitality shown by our server. On the receipt I specified that I was not leaving a tip due to the poor hospitality shown and that I was more than willing to talk to whomever wanted to know why. Not surprisingly so, my fiancee and I left and when we walked outside and turned around, we looked inside and saw the waitress showing another server the receipt and laughing as if there was something funny instead of possibly asking us why we were dissatisfied with the service. Unknowingly to this waitress she still had an opportunity to make a little extra money if acting like an adult and taking that energy to speak with us instead of acting like a child to get justification for her actions or more accurately put, lack thereof.
