I've been eating here for over 10+ years and this is my first review. To me, this is the best Filipino comfort food place in West Elk Grove. They have not opened indoor seating since the pandemic and that's OK with me since I'm here to rate the food. The chicken combo plates are always good and so are the rice side dishes, lumpia, and longanisa. I've had the chicken adobo with rice, always good. I've had halo halo also and it's good. When I am craving Filipino food this place does not disappoint. I am not a fan of the pancit palabok so I just don't order it. I always call in my order and then pick up so the wait times are not a problem. I recommend this over going and waiting in line.

Just be aware, this isn't a sit down restaurant. It is a to-go only place. There are tables and chairs inside, but they're all put up. Food wasn't bad. What we ordered:Fried chicken plate w// pork lumpia and Java RiceGrilled Chicken plate w/ longanisa and Java Rice (should've been a fried chicken plate as well). I even asked her if their fried chicken was the popular item, and she said yes. (Hence the name of establishment)Their menu had grilled chicken listed under "fried chicken" section, so I asked her if there was an option for fried chicken w/ longanisa, she said, oh sorry this is a typo, it is supposed to say fried chicken, since it is under the fried chicken section. I said okay, I want the fried chicken w/ longanIsa. Waited in the car for our order, received a text saying ordered was ready. I went inside to retrieve our order, mouth watering. Got back in the car to eat and to my surprise, they gave me the grilled chicken, instead of the fried chicken. No problem, I was too lazy to go back inside and tell them. Hubby and I decided we would just taste each other's food. After we ate. I went back inside to throw some trash. I had to tell her that I got a grilled chicken plate instead of the fried chicken that I ordered. I felt like she was trying to be rude. She said, well I repeated your order to you, and I said oh, but I also pointed it out and you clearly said it was a typo. She then said, sorry we'll fix the menu. It is what it is! I'm just glad we didn't drive all the way out here just for this. We were already in the area for another event, just arrived early, so we decided to check this place out. Food was good! Fried chicken was good. Java Rice was okay. Longanisa was average. Would we eat here again? Maybe, but we probably wouldn't drive out here just for this! Nevertheless, check it out, and make sure you check your order before you leave the counter.

It's that time of year. Almost time for Thanksgiving! If you think that this place can only do chicken for Thanksgiving, guess again. They can do a Whole Deep Fried Turkey! We had this last year, and I think we were told we got the last turkey order. So this year we made sure to go early. So... the only issue I have with this place is that it's VERY DIFFICULT getting a hold of someone on the phone, which is annoying if you want to place an order in advance. But for us, it's not too far, so it's not a deal breaker. But keep that in mind. Also, they still do not have indoor seating. I'm assuming it's a permanent thing now, so if you think you can dine-in, you cannot. Maybe one day they'll bring back the tables and chairs for people to eat their food fresh out of the kitchen.

I saw this place highly rated on Yelp and social media, so my family wanted to try it out. Overall it was good and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area!We got one of each of the kinds of chicken (fried, glazed, and grilled) with one each of the rice (steamed, garlic, and java), pork adobo, garlic noodles, and pork lumpia. Overall my favorites were the pork adobo, garlic noodles, and pork lumpia. The pork was super juicy and tender, and full of flavor! The garlic noodles were also amazing. And the pork lumpia and dipping sauce was also great. I also liked all of the chicken, especially the glazed and fried. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well! Note that the inside is still shut down so only takeout orders are accepted. Overall I'd recommend stopping by for some good food here!

The food at the savory chicken restaurant was okay, nothing extraordinary. The service was good, and while the ambiance was fine, the space felt a bit tight inside.

Got a combination plate with glazed chicken, pork lumpia (they didnt have chicken) and java rice. Total was like under 18 which tbh is pretty pricey for the proportions. It took about 20 minutes for us to get the food rip, and they also still dont have inside seating, togo only. The glaze chicken thats supposed to be half a chicken was just like one wing and two thighs? I feel like they used to actually give half a chicken... or atleast more... The lumpia was 8 like small lumpias, those were pretty good. Umm i think overall its still pretty good but a bit pricey and proportions got smaller?

Coming from Sacramento, there aren't a lot of options when it comes to Filipino food. I was really excited to try this place as it has gained some social media traction. I was extremely let down to say the least.Walking in, I felt like I was still living in the 2020 pandemic. With no dine in service, and only to go orders available, I was disappointed. The host was also taking my order across the room which was a bit strange. While I was waiting, more customers trickled in and within 10 minutes, the lobby area (7 chairs spaced out) was full. I felt bad as there weren't enough chairs and customers had to stand for a while. Now the food. You're better off getting Jollibee down the street. I ordered the combo plate with lumpia, fried chicken, and garlic rice. The chicken is supposed to be the star of the dish but was extremely dry and had no seasoning. Everything else was good, but wasn't anything special. The halo halo on the other hand was spectacular and would be the only reason why I would ever come back. If you're looking for an authentic Filipino spot, with service, food quality, and ambiance. This is not it, save your money.

I said I would submit a new review when I am finally able to get the pancit. I made sure I ordered by 1:00, and called ahead. I usually give this restaurant a 5 star because I really like their pancit and fried chicken. But this time I was not happy with the overcooked chicken, and the pancit was just ok. I actually called back and told them about the chicken, and they replaced the one that was worst. But for $16 per order, and it doesn't come with rice anymore, I don't think I'll try it again unless I have a coupon or discount. The photos is of the two orders I ordered. I only had one replace, though the second was dry too.
