Sanskrit - New Age Indian

This food is amazing! Tasty, fresh , with great presentation. The portions are very filling and the service is very prompt and professional. I love that it's very family friendly , and boy did our little ones make a little mess. We had so many togo boxes. We've eaten there several times as it's now one of our favorites. Each time they have never let us down . I wasn't sure how I would like Indian food or what to order. They guided me all the way. Mild to very spicy , I now know exist. Spicy is definitely not for me but my husband loves it. So what a perfect fit. If you haven't tried them , you won't regret it! A yummy, X 10 .

I have to say this area has some pretty authentic and yummy Indian restaurants that are top notch.But, Sanskrit is my favorite, hands down! Their lunch specials are reasonable and I lovvveee their palak paneer and butter chicken. The taste is always consistent and perfect.I try to find new places to try, but I always end up thinking, "I should've just went to Sanskrit." So, I think this place will be my staple Indian food for folsom. I shall see you soon my beloved palak paneer with less blocks of cheese.

Mostly chain restaurants in this area. This spot seemed like a good break from the rest.Upon entering, very classy feel with the decor to the table set up.I ordered the chicken tikka masala and requested for it to be spicy. And it came out spicy. I worked up a little sweat. Definitely a must order. The butter chicken was also solid.Great menu and solid service here.

An all-rounded Indian eatery with great lunch specials and Thali dishes. Get the garlic naan!Setting: Located in the Broadstone marketplace, there is ample parking and room in the restaurant to dine. Service: The service is quick and the staff are kind to answer questions.Food: They have a lunch special during the week with multiple options (including vegetarian). I personally enjoyed the chicken tikka while the others I was dining with got the various Thalis (large plates with multiple different items).

We came here last night to give this new restaurant a try. It's located in a shopping with plenty of parking. It's is recommended to get reservations if you have a large group of friends. This restaurant has veggie, vegan and non-veggie options. We order the Tandoori Pomfret which was so delicious that we ordered a second one. The dosas had good flavor, the chicken tikka masala was A+, the goat curry had some kick it. Garlic naan was good as well. The only item that we didn't like was the goat briyani. The service was awesome and the price was fair. We really enjoyed this place.

Food is great! They give you a great value for what you pay and get. I got takeout so I thought it was a good amount of food. Service was quick and easy. Place was huge and lots of seating. Nice staff

Good Indian restaurant in Folsom! I ordered for pick up and I got my food when I arrived exactly 30 mins as they said.- Samosa chatt: delicious samosas. The dough was crispy and the peas filling was flavorful. The sauce complemented the samosas very well but I wish that they gave me more.- Aloo gobi: this is a gravy style version. The gravy was very flavorful. There were lots of cauliflower pieces that were perfectly cooked (perfect firmness & not mushy). - Butter chicken: the gravy was good and creamy but I wish that it had bolder flavor. The chicken pieces were tender.

So good!!!!!!!! We ordered vegan CHANA MASALA, vegan tikka masala, PALAK PANEER and garlic naan. It was so good I couldn't take a picture before we almost ate it all! We will be back!!!! So happy this place is in Folsom. Leaving satisfied but not feeling overstuffed. This place is now in my top 10

Mangalore fried chicken was phenomenal. The masala had sieved into the chicken pieces making it tasty. Pieces themselves were succulent. The batter in which it was fried was good too. I have seen restaurants making the batter salty , oily and soggy. This was phenomenal. Appreciate all the effort went into the making. Perfect crispness. I have always enjoyed the serenity in that place that comes from professional service and maintenance.

We had the pleasure of dining at Sanskrit again today, and everything about our visit was exceptional - from the very friendly and attentive server to the delicious menu items. We could not believe the size of the thali meals, which include a wide selection of delicious tastes, and an excellent value - a great way to sample their huge menu. Everything is made on-site, so the food was very fresh and absolutely delicious! My favorites were the Kadai Paneer and the Kala Channa Kala Kulambu which were incredibly flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Loved their house-made lemon pickle which is much less salty than commercial jarred pickle, with intense citrusy flavor.The staff is very friendly and helpful; our server was excellent. One of the best Indian restaurants we've ever dined at, and it won't be our last time - we will be back very soon!
